@CatastrofeUltravioleta I quote: "Result: Keiko died in isolation, without contact with a group of orcas, just a few years after his release." That Keiko has died 'lonely' is a human interpretation and arrogant, as if we know what was going on in Keiko. If they (the industry) really care so much for orca's not to live alone, why do they separate the captive orca calves from their mum and move orcas by plane from one pool to an other. Separating and introducing (strange) orcas to each other, whenever they (the industry) like. And this is not a problem? Keiko lived for 5 YEARS in the open sea, and it is pretty amazing he knew how to handle himself after 22 years of slavery and bad health! Keiko could have chosen "after" 22 years of solitary confinement in a small pool to not live with a group orcas, it is a different view we should consider. It is the dolfinaria industry who want to make his release a total failure, they are afraid of public pressure demanding also for the other 50 locked up orcas to be set free. That is why they try to say releasing Keiko was a failure. There are more orcas in nature who live a solitary life! Keiko did have interactions with different groups of orcas, but never permanently connected to a group. It is not as "black and white" like you and dolphinaria try to make us believe! Keiko was 'no' great suitable candidate, he had lung problems through his 22 years of incarceration in full sun and too little chlorine basin. Industry (film) would nevertheless do so, because even release was great. Pressure in children and adult audience to 'Willy' in the 'REAL' Watch the documentary "Keiko, the untold story" for a broader point of view concerning Keiko's release.
