Military & Government Involvement with UFOs a.k.a. Flying Saucers Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at 11 pm EDT, join Paranormal Now’s host Alan B. Smith chats with researcher and author Kathleen Marden about Military and government involvement with UFOs a.k.a. flying saucers . And if you love this as much as we do, then you will definitely appreciate this awesome conversation with one of the most knowledgeable and honest researchers in this field. Kathleen Marden discusses the trail of evidence left behind by previously inconsisitent government and military UFO (flying saucer) investigation policies. Kathleen follows the data trail and asks us to seriously consider the eyewitnesses and government/military employee testimony. Also discussed is the Betty and Barney Hill abduction as well as the current state of the UFO government cover-up. KATHLEEN MARDEN Kathleen Marden is a leading UFO and abduction researcher, author, and lecturer. Her educational background in the social sciences has shaped her interest in scientific ufology. Extensive research and investigation into alien abduction has convinced her that some abductions are real. She earned a B.A. degree in social work from the University of New Hampshire and participated in graduate studies in education while working as a teacher and education services coordinator. During her fifteen years as an educator, she innovated, designed and implemented model educational programs. She also held a supervisory position, coordinating, training and evaluating education staff. Her interest in UFOs dates back to September 20, 1961, when her aunt, Betty Hill, phoned her childhood home to report that she and Barney had encountered a flying saucer in New Hampshire’s White Mountains. She is recognized as the world’s leading expert on the Betty and Barney Hill abduction. She is associated with the Mutual UFO Network, as its Director of Experiencer Research and the Edgar Mitchell Foundation for Research into Extraterrestrial Encounters, as an advisory board member and consultant to its research subcommittee. She was the recipient of MUFON’s 2012 “Excellence in Ufology” award. She makes it clear that the opinions expressed by her are her own and do not necessarily reflect the views of the organizations of which she is a member. Alan’s Paranormal Corner UFOs The Facts Were it not for Stanton Friedman, I may never have found myself so deeply interested in the topic of UFOs and the possible government cover-up of a visiting extraterrestrial race or their probes. That is because he kept speculation to a minimum as he wrote and spoke about facts. He followed paper trails. He interviewed eyewitnesses. And he carefully scrutinized the data at hand. And to her credit so now has Kathleen Marden. The fact is that I really do like the speculative and more fantastic side of Ufology. But I am able to separate entertaining ideas and supposed true stories with what can actually be verified. I like verified. When I read about official military reports and letters about recovered alien craft, that are available through the Freedom of Information Act, I get excited. Why? Because that means the plausibility of the fantastic stories and speculative arguments I enjoy so much increases. I want to believe – but I don’t want to be deceived. Evidence is of the utmost importance to me. A part of that evidence, aside from data collected from radar towers and other documents, is the eyewitness testimony of government and military officials. When someone like Kathleen Marden does a background check and credibility check on a witness and finds that they are credible – I listen. When I find out that the witness’ report is supported by official reports then I become steeped in intrigue. Furthermore, when a number of documents, witnesses and reports all turn out to be legitimate and corroborate each other then I am convinced that indeed a UFO or flying saucer entered our airspace. I feel similarily in regards abduction reports. Often, abductee experiencers are traumatized. Most abductess do not seek to make a profit from their experience; and they have eyewitnesses to confirm their story. In conjunction with many of these reports of abduction there will be simultaneous sightings of a UFO reported to the police or a military base by other individuals living nearby whom are unknown to the abductee. I am probably biased (or more likely – sympathetic) because I have been an eyewitness to a UFO in the night sky. And once you’ve seen one yourself, your life is never the same. You begin to listen for and hear the ring of truth in the voice of others who share their own encounter. I have a pretty good intuition whether someone is sharing about a genuine encounter versus a made-up account. So here I am ending a post that started emphasizing facts, and ending it with intuition. But not quite yet. No matter how much I believe someone else’s story, I am always cautious to taut and tell it as fact. Even if it is someone I generally trust, I always reserve some skepticism. It helps to keep me grounded so as not to get swept away by wonderfully exciting ideas only to loosen my requirement evidence. At this point, I know in my heart we are being visited by an off-planet something – I just want to be proven correct.
