Collider’s own Christina Radish was at the press day for the LEGO Ninjago movie where she was able to sit down with Nightwing director (and Ninjago producer) Chris McKay about his take on the solo spin-off featuring the boy wonder to superhero Dick Grayson. Though the film is still a ways off and casting hasn’t begun, McKay already has a plan for the movie that he hopes will set it apart from other DC movies by focusing on practical character effects rather than relying on CG, leading to a “badass action movie” set in the DCEU.
At the press day for The LEGO Ninjago Movie, Collider.com spoke to producers Dan Lin and Chris McKay about the sequel to The LEGO Movie, where it was revealed that both Phil Lord and Chris Miller are back and re-writing the script. Lin also revealed that the new movie will deal with gender issues in regards to how boys play with LEGOs versus how girls play, with the movie picking up where the first movie left off in which the Duplo (or LEGO’s for Infants) are attacking Bricksburg.

A new red-band trailer has landed online for The Shape of Water, the highly anticipated new movie from Guillermo del Toro. The movie took the top prize at this past year’s Venice Film Festival, and is now being buzzed about as a serious Oscar contender. The movie opens in theaters this December 8th. And to read up on all its Oscar chances as well as the full review, head on over to Collider.com where both articles are currently up.
Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for All the Money in the World, the second film from Ridley Scott in 2017 after this summer’s Alien: Covenant. The movie tells the true life story of the kidnapping of John Paul Getty III and his mother’s desperate attempt to convince his wealthy grandfather to pay the ransom.
20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for Red Sparrow, the new movie that stars Jennifer Lawrence, directed by her Hunger Games director Francis Lawrence. The movie focuses on a young Russian woman Dominika, played by Lawrence, who joins the Sparrow program, a secret service that trains her into becoming a powerful weapon.
