roud 2 Beg, Baby Baby Baby and What About Your Friends. This feisty, loud and colourful trio broke through the pop/hip hop scene with their upbeat hits, smooth harmonies, witty raps and of course their brightly coloured baggy clothing . TLC was all about female empowerment years before Destiny's Child and the Spice Girls were even thought of. With their safe sex message proudly celebrated via condoms of varies sizes pinned to their clothing, TLC wanted to be fun and fierce all at once. The album showcased not only the ladies abilities to create smooth melodies with sharp and witty lyrics, but also proved that rapper Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes was a force to be reckoned with, eventually becoming one of the most sought after female rappers of her time. So 20 years on and this album still stands as a fun filled frenzy of funked up beats and catchy sing along hits....and that is oooooohh on the TLC tip!
