In 1997 British electronic duo THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS released their second album DIG YOUR OWN HOLE. This was t... he album that broke them worldwide and helped define the term "chemical beats" in the late 90's to describe the multi layered, funk styled form of breakbeat based electronic dance music of the time. With 2 chart topping singles, Setting Sun (featuring Noel Gallagher on vocals) and the breakbeat anthem Block Rockin' Beats, the album quickly hit the top of both the pop and dance charts. With influences as varied as the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Public Enemy and 80's rave culture, Dig Your Own Hole is still frequently voted as one the best Top 50 British albums of all time. Here to celebrate the album's 15 year anniversary is this very special 53 minute mechamix. "Back with another one of those block rockin' beats!"
