Alright guys, let’s do this! Welcome to another exciting episode of The Creative Marketing Zone Podcast! I am your host and chief creative officer, Eric, and this is the weekly podcast for all things creative to help you build and grow your business!
Today, we have an awesome guest on our show. Gina Daschbach, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of PEROOZ The Magazine Creator. Gina is in the print media and marketing business, and she works with entrepreneurs, authors, speakers, mission-driven firms and coaches who are content creators seeking to elevate their brand to a whole new level.
I wanted to bring Gina on the show because of her experience and knowledge in helping content creators resurrect their high-converting content into a format most of us haven’t considered, which is print.
As you know, there is SOOO much digital noise, and we are all trying to get the attention of our target audience. But did you know that while everyone is saying print media is dead there just so happens to be a 70% higher recall rate versus digital using this medium?
As Gina will share with us today, when someone holds something in their hand, an emotional/sensory connection is made that you simply cannot capture in the digital realm.
I am excited to have Gina on the show with us today not only because of her awesome experience in this realm but also because she will be sharing some excellent insights, strategies, and tactics that work to help you stand out from the noise using print media.
If you are a content creator, then this is definitely an episode you will want to tune into and take notes on.
Now, if this is your first time tuning in, then welcome – I am super thrilled you are here! Here on The Creative Marketing Zone Podcast is when I feature a marketing guru sharing his or her ninja secrets, hacks, timeless principles, etc. to help you get into The Creative Marketing Zone for your business. I have been doing this podcast for well over a year and a half and it has been a blessing in disguise for me as I get to interview awesome business owners and marketers sharing their tips that work, which I can apply and share with you each and every week – how cool is that?
And if you are a repeat listening friend of The Creative Marketing Zone Podcast then welcome back! As always, I am super elated you have chosen me to be in your ear each week wherever you are.
This show just keeps getting better and better, and I couldn’t have been able to do so without your support! And as a regular listener of the show, you’d know that I was releasing episodes twice per week – Tuesday’s and Friday’s. Friday’s were the solo episodes in which I would share something new I have learned that works or doesn’t work.
Well, I had to put a stop to the Friday episodes for now, but for good reason!
I found that I was spending a ton of time focused on getting these episodes out per week (in a race against the clock) and not enough time in other areas of my business to grow, which is a learning curve many of us go through I imagine as content creators.
So, I have a made a strategic decision to go back to releasing episodes once per week on Tuesday’s. This will give me more time to keep releasing quality interviews and episodes, promote the heck out of these shows, and focus more on revenue-generating activities for the business as this community continues to grow.
If you haven’t already done so, then be sure to smash that subscribe button on your favorite podcast listening player to stay tuned of fresh content released each week. And if you are totally up for it, definitely leave me a review on iTunes! As you know, reviews mean a ton as it helps attract more awesome folks like yourself eager to creatively grow their empires!
And if you do leave me a review then let me know either on social media via Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Facebook. You can also email me directly at Eric@TheCreativeMarketingZone.com and I just may feature your review on a future episode or provide a special shout out on social media!

Alright, guys, we have an awesome interview to release, don't we? Let's get to it and welcome Gina to the show!
Key Takeaways
First, I truly loved hearing Gina’s story on what got her into print media starting when she was a young child and her love for breakfast cereals. I also enjoyed when she talked about her experience working with her dad putting together catalogs for his auto parts and how stories played a huge factor in driving phone calls that led to sales.
As Gina pointed out on the show, there will always be a place for online marketing, but what we are going to see more of is using online marketing to support offline sales opportunities and vice versa – offline to support online. Towards the end of the show, when talking about augmented reality (AR), there were some awesome examples of this being mentioned of what we can expect in the future, or what is even happening today with being able to try on watches, experience a new car, or go shopping literally right from your magazine.
There is a 70% higher recall rate of a message being read in print then there is in the digital space. As Gina pointed out, on average we are confronted with 10,000 messages per day and 3,000 of those are paid to get in front of us. Apps, notifications, Waze alerts, you name it – there are so many distractions in the online realm, which can certainly explain why we have a hard time remembering things and not having a strong connection to what we see. Also, there tends to be no easy breadcrumbs to get back to these messages online. For when we try and get back to what we meant to read back up on we end up getting sidetracked along the way – this happens to me all the time!
Gina shared some really cool examples of clients she works with, including the Fibromyalgia Health Coach and how she connects her print to join her programs online.
Gina also shared her 4 part InkCredibility Method, which was broke out the acronym RISE: (R) Rise out of digital overwhelm, (I) Identify the content you have that tells your story effectively (S) Strategize unique distribution opportunities (E) Engage and experience – get your content into the hands of your audience, have them experience it and take action! As Gina pointed out, 64% of readers of magazines take some form of action – how cool is that?
