Los ojos de pez brillan entre los dedos de Alicia mientras cajas de ritmo baten mayonesa, pero también brillan por su ausencia en la portada de Rubber Soul, ya que su deformación tan característica es producida por la proyección de la imagen sobre un plano inclinado. Robert Freeman no tuvo que molestarse en utilizar tal artilugio para tomar la instantánea, de hecho ni siquiera fue su intención proyectarla sobre planos inclinados, la inclinación casual de la pantalla durante la sesión de proyección y el entusiasmo de los cuatro fue más que suficiente para que la imagen fuese lanzada tal y como hoy la conocemos.
