Description of Ep. 76: CRISIS REACTOR feat. Jeremy Loffredo

What happens when the crisis you're covering suddenly swallows you whole?
From the Lower East Side to the West Bank, CRISIS REACTOR tells the story of investigative journalist Jeremy Loffredo — a rare voice of conviction in an age of careerist striving.
When American journalist Jeremy Loffredo was arrested and detained by Israeli authorities on trumped-up charges of espionage, Poolhouse was outraged; not only by the shocking action of a close U.S. ally, but by the eerie silence that followed. Much of the so-called "dissident” niche media class, offered little more than a shrug. And perhaps most disturbingly, the US State Department offered virtually no public comment.
In this groundbreaking conversation, Loffredo joins Poolhouse to retrace the long road of a short but courageous career. From his coverage of the medical freedom movement in the post-COVID era to his nuanced reporting on Russia’s domestic response to the war in Ukraine, Jeremy has consistently gone where the corporate media refuses to tread, providing rare glimpses into how the media product is truly assembled.
Loffredo does not serve the American political duopoly. Instead, he directs his critique at the power structures that rule over it—and that may be exactly what made him a target of state repression. But Jeremy Loffredo could not be broken. When crisis called, he met it with the same tenacious mindset that drove him to pursue journalism in the first place.
CRISIS REACTOR has it all: an interrogation of the media machine, the corporate-state superstructure it serves, and the social-psychological architecture of the realities it manufactures.
It’s a breathtaking story of a reporter drawn into the heart of darkness, and a meditation that illuminates the perspectives most often obscured by the dissonance that permeates our mediated world.
And above all, it’s an eye-opening tale about choosing a fearless path in pursuit of what is true and what is just.

Introduction to the Octolectics of an Occupation:

Poolhouse post from October 2024, highlighting the perils of non-partisan truth telling: both “dissident right” (pictured left) and “resistance left” (pictured right)(gay dyslexia, my bad!) abandoned any sense of outrage over the arrest and detainment of a US journalist because it was not politically expedient for them to do so:
The silence from Quagmire was deafening
aka State Dept spox Mathew Miller, who according to his wikipedia, was “born to his mother” (and also his father) - how novel!
but we will DROP IT (for now)
Poolhouse….why?
