Aprendemos Juntos, a BBVA initiative for a better world. Robin Sharma, writer, speaker, and leadership and personal development expert of Indian origin. He studied law at Dalhousie University and worked as a lawyer before transitioning into writing and coaching. His second book, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, initially self-published, became a global phenomenon. It has been translated into more than 50 languages and has sold millions of copies worldwide. I think right now in the world we're suffering from a conscientiousness crisis. We're suffering in a world right now of people who don't care. Too many people, they don't care about other people's feelings. They don't care about doing world-class work. They don't care about the world. I think in many ways it's a little, we live in this culture where it's a little too easy, it's a little too soft, it's a little too selfish. It's a little too distracted. And we've forgotten what it means to be human. I'll start off by sharing a little bit about a time in my life where I was looking for a new direction. And there's two areas. And so I started a journey, and I thought I would learn to meditate, and I learned to fast, and I read great books, and I read about the great women and men of the world, and slowly I started making changes in my life. And I wrote a book called The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. I left my job as a lawyer. My parents were not happy. And it led me down this new route that changed my life. And so the lesson I took away is sometimes you have to do something that the world calls crazy but your heart says is true to lead you to the most amazing place. The second thing or time where I'm moving in a new direction, it might surprise you, but it's right now. And please don't think I'm some kind of a guru. I'm up here, but please don't. I'm the guru stage. But please don't think I'm any different from you. That I'm a guru, that I have all the answers, that I wake up every morning with dancing puppies and rainbows and butterflies and light coming up behind me. I'm an ordinary person as well. And so I'm going through a change right now that I want to share very honestly with you. And for about 30 years I've been on stages, stages, and I've been speaking to big audiences around the world. Audiences, 10,000, 20,000, 30,000 people doing media, creating content on social media. And I'm at a place in my life where I'm rethinking success. And for me, success is no longer being on stages. I'm moving to a part in my life where I want to live a quieter life. And I think the next 10 or 15 years are going to be about me in my farmhouse with my partner Al and our little dog writing books. Much less travel. I have a new book coming out called The Robot and the Gardener. I'll tell you a little bit about it. It'll be out in a few months. But when I wrote that book, I fell in love with writing again. And I fell in love with a quiet life and a creative life. So even at this stage of the game, I'm taking a brave risk and I'm trying something really new and a new way to live. And I think that's the name of the game. You always want to be evolving. You always want to be growing. Hola Robin, soy Leticia y me gustaría que nos compartieras a lo largo de este tiempo de transformación y de cambio en tu vida, ¿qué fue lo que te hizo ver un antes y un después?
