Description of IE University Sports and Well-Being Center: A place with something for everyone

The Going to IEU Podcast is back. This time we are joined by guest Clint Goodrich, IE University’s Executive Director of Sports and Well-Being, professor on leadership through sports and head of men’s basketball. To Clint, the Sports and Well-Being Center is a space to engage in athletic and well-being activities, regardless of skill level or experience.

IE University students have the chance to participate in a range of sports, including recreational sports, performance sports and other activities. Students can choose anything from hiking to kayaking, sailing to boxing or weekly yoga sessions—all activities are available for free!

For Clint, participating in sports is all about building one another up, setting goals and working hard to achieve them. Everyone is a beginner at some point and working to improve is a transformational process that can benefit everyone. Ultimately, sports are a way to thrive personally and as a community.

Vuelve el podcast Going to IEU. En esta ocasión nos acompaña Clint Goodrich, director ejecutivo del área de Deportes y Bienestar de IE University y responsable de las actividades de baloncesto masculino. Para Clint, que también se dedica a la enseñanza de habilidades de liderazgo mediante el deporte, el Sports and Well-Being Center es un espacio donde todo el mundo, sin importar su experiencia o nivel, puede participar en actividades deportivas y de bienestar.

IE University ofrece a sus estudiantes una amplia oferta de actividades deportivas, recreativas y competitivas, todas ellas gratuitas, que van desde senderismo, kayak, y vela hasta boxeo o yoga.

Para Clint, el deporte implica apoyo mutuo, establecer objetivos y esforzarse por conseguirlos. Siempre que alguien se enfrenta a un deporte nuevo tiene que empezar desde cero, pero trabajar para mejorar es un proceso de transformación que nos beneficia a todos. Uno de los mayores beneficios del deporte es que nos permite crecer personalmente y como comunidad.
