Maria Dautruche and Dennis Chin on 'Tavis Smiley' description

Maria Dautruche - She is the inaugural director of the Westchester Center for Racial Equity and most recently served in leadership at the National Urban League. Dennis Chin - Leader of Race Forward’s Narrative, Arts, and Culture department, which works in partnership with organizers, activists, and artists to advance a just, multiracial democracy via narrative and cultural strategies. Both join Tavis for a conversation regarding their new initiative called H.E.A.L. (Honest Education Action & Leadership) Together. It is the first comprehensive campaign to counter attacks on Critical Race Theory (CRT). The effort, which is being spearheaded by Race Forward and partners, will share tools to help educators, parents, advocates organize to help their schools and communities be more equitable (Hour 2)
