The story header reads “For Both Sides in 'Trump Perry’ Football Game, a Banner Creates Deep Wounds.” The only thing that created deep wounds is the senseless attack on the Brooke kids by the liberal elites in the mainstream media such as the P-G. The superintendent of the Brooke County school district, in the northern panhandle of West Virginia near Wheeling, is offering groveling written apologies to the Pittsburgh Public Schools because of a “Trump Perry” sign at the game between Brooke and Perry high schools. The Brooke superintendent called the harmless sign “insensitive, intimidating and offensive.” That is pathetic and spineless. The Brooke school district should demand that she resign before she further disgraces the good name of Brooke County. Political correctness unwittingly has devolved into self-parody or satire.
