LUKE - 22:39-71 - Jesus Arrested and Put on "Trial" Jesus and the Apostles left the upper room and headed to the Mount of Olives. Judas led a mob of Jews to help the chief priests and elders arrest Jesus. Jesus was taken to Annas' house where he was subjected to a fake trial. Sadly, while in the courtyard of the High Priest, Peter denied knowing Jesus three times, just as Jesus predicted he would. LUKE - 20:27-47 - A Woman with 7 Husbands The Jewish leaders continued their assault of questions against Jesus. The Sadducees asked Him a question about marriage and the resurrection. Jesus answered their question and, in doing so, exposed their ignorance of the scriptures and their incorrect views on the resurrection. Afterwards, Jesus condemned the Pharisees and the scribes for their hypocrisy and devotion to tradition keeping.
