6 Minute Sermons

Six Minute Sermons has been so much fun over the past couple of years. I've enjoyed proclaiming the Bible in a short 6-minute format, but I think it's time to take an indefinite break. This may be forever, or just a little while. I may come back to Six Minute Sermons, or I may do another podcast. Who knows. What I know is that I need to organize where I'm at right now so that I can be all that God has called me to be. I hope you continue to grow in the Lord as you seek Him daily.  - Cameron O'Daniel

Ministry can get busy during the Summer months, and that is the same here. For the next two weeks, we will be taking a break in order to focus on the ministry we have going on. The plan is to be back on June 27th. Thank you for your understanding!

What is rest biblically? Is there a difference between spiritual rest and physical rest? How do spiritual rest and physical rest relate to one another? In this episode, we will discuss what rest is for the Christian, and how the Christian can live in this reality of rest both spiritually and physically.

What is discipline, and why is it important for Christians to be disciplined people? In this episode, we will discuss what discipline is in a broad sense of the word, and we will look at the broader picture of why Christians should be disciplined people.

The atrocities that have been revealed concerning sexual abuse in the Southern Baptist Convention are sickening and heartbreaking. What has happened cannot and will not stay hidden. It is no controversial thing to say "sexual abuse is sinful." However, with the reports coming out about sexual abuse in the SBC, it seems that it needs to be said. As an organization, the SBC cannot stand by and do nothing. While sins are individual choices, their effects run far and wide. My thoughts here are not to be taken as gospel, but only as a pleading with leaders to not hide sin any longer. The stakes are too high.

"Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me." - Job 38:2-3

What is true beauty? Why are humans attracted to things that are beautiful? What does beauty have to do with the Christian life? In this episode, we will look at what beauty is, and why it is related to God Himself.

In the wake of Roe v. Wade possibly being overturned, and the leak from the Supreme Court, I thought we should discuss the topic of Abortion. Does the Bible have anything to say about abortion? Is it right to get an abortion? What if I've already gotten an abortion? What does it really mean to be pro-life?
