It led to us inviting her on to our show, and we got to meet her and know her more. Calling in from Indonesia + half-Indonesian, half-American Nicole never dreamt of returning to the country she grew up in, especially after spending much of her formative years feeling like an outsider. Listen in to what caused a shift in her perspective, and all the great nuggets of wisdom that she has to share, especially about keeping in touch with childhood friends as we become adults. Regional TCKs are TCKs who, though might not have even traveled outside of the country, grew up in an environment very different from their own culture just due to the sheer size of the country. It was a very fun, laugh-filled, sit-down with Johan as we interviewed about his past, present, and talked a little about the future of other TCKs. So fun that we lost track of time, and went way overboard. While some parts of his story are cut out, we will be releasing a bonus episode with this one so be sure to look out for it!
