Male Transformation In Three Simple Words
Episode in
.
"There's no shame in seeking support, understanding that you don't have to carry the work weight of the world on your shoulders. You're not alone… But it's a matter of you being courageous enough to reach out.” -Coach Michael Taylor
Toxic masculinity is a term used to describe the way in which men are taught to act in society, and how that can affect their lives. In a society that tells men they're the "breadwinners," and that they should be able to handle everything on their own, it's no wonder so many men are struggling. Although this mentality has been deeply engraved in our society, we can still change it with three simple words: "I Need Help." And while this phrase may sometimes feel like it's just an empty way to say you're vulnerable and want another person to take care of things for you, there's actually a lot more to it than that. "I need help" means that we recognize that something has come up in our life that is bigger than we are—and it also means that we know what it feels like to be overwhelmed by something. In this episode, I interview Coach Michael Taylor on how powerful these three words can be in transforming men’s lives. We also discuss the five illusions of manhood from Michael’s book, A New Conversation with Men, and how to shift these illusions to what’s real. Tune in and see masculinity from a new perspective!

Welcome To The Mens Group Movie
Episode in
.
For the past 20 -30 years men have been waking up to new ways of being and relating as men. This awakening has been called the mens movement and it is creating a new paradigm of masculinity in which men are learning that the old ways of being men no longer serve us and the mens movement is ushering in new ways that allow men to be open, vulnerable, sensitive and nurturing without the fear of losing our masculinity.
One of the ways this movement has been gaining momentum is through mens groups. Mens groups are designed to provide men with a supportive and safe environment in which they can speak openly and honestly about the challenges men face today in our ever-changing world. Within a mens group, men are challenged to look deep within their hearts and minds to uncover their fears and express their feelings in a safe and supportive environment without the fear of judgment or ridicule.
Recently, Joseph Culp and Scott Ben-Yashar released an entertaining and provocative look inside of a mens group through their new film Welcome To The Mens Group.
Join Coach Michael Taylor as he interviews Joseph Culp about this new movie and the role it will play in supporting men in creating new ways of being and relating as men.

Operation Reset
Episode in
.
The United States is the worlds leader in incarceration with 2.2 million people currently in the nations prisons or jails -- a 500% increase over the past thirty years. These trends have resulted in prison overcrowding and state governments being overwhelmed by the burden of funding a rapidly expanding penal system, despite increasing evidence that large-scale incarceration is not the most effective means of achieving public safety. (www.sentencingproject.org)
This is a statitistic that America should not be proud of and more resources should be provided to decrease the prison population.
Join Coach Michael Taylor as he interviews Rocky McKay (aka Rocky the Roofer) about Operation Reset which is a program that was specifically designed to help reduce recidivism rates of non violent inmates and also to provide our veterans with opportunities after they have served our country.
Operation Reset is a program goaled towards providing training, building confidence, and the skillsets to those that have been told for so long due to their backgrounds, poor decision making, lack of work experience, or simply because they're homeless.
For more information about Project Reset follow this link: http://operation-reset.com
Mark your calendars to listen to Rocky's inspirational story and how you can help make a difference by supporting Operation Reset.
