Dan Sullivan and William Wisner interview Brian Kenney for his first update as he begins his hike along the Appalachian Trail.

Dan Sullivan interviews Doctor Remington Nevin, the world’s leading expert on the neuro toxic effects of Mefloquine (also known as Lariam), a medication used by the US Military in the prevention and treatment of malaria.  Doctor Nevin walks us through the history of antimalarial drug use in the military starting with Atabrine in WWII and running through today.  Mefloquine can cause horrendous effects such as hallucinations and severe PTSD like symptoms.  Find out the implications for veterans including disibility claims for various diagnoses.

Episode 5: Tom’s Birthday Dan Sullivan interviews Jeanne Sullivan, co-founder and board member of the Sergeant Sullivan Center.  Jeanne discusses the story of her son and SSC namesake, SGT Thomas Joseph Sullivan, the work of the center, and the end of year campaign for 2014 that launches on Tom’s Birthday, December 22nd.  

Episode 4.  The “Burn Pit Connection” between Iraq, Afghanistan, and Agent Orange.  Dan Sullivan Interviews Kerry Baker, an attorney at Chisholm, Chisholm & Kilpatrick about a variety of issues related to post 9-11 exposures including presumptive illnesses associated with exposures to 2,3,7,8 TCDD, a dioxin byproduct of Agent Orange also found in burn pit emissions.

Episode 3 - Daniel Sullivan interviews former Air Force SGT Dan Meyer.  Dan Meyer is an Iraq and Afghanistan veteran suffering from the toxic exposure of burn pits.  Dan’s story is extremely compelling.  From his initial exposure, to the grueling and unbelievable treatment by the Department of Defense, Dan’s story is both enlightening and infuriating.   SGT Meyer speaks to the benefit of the incredibly difficult lung biopsy procedure ahead of SSCs trip to Dayton Ohio where the Defense Health Board will consider the issue of taking it off of the table for soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines like Dan.
