AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Spotlight On edition, is a long form interview series featuring actors discussing their roles and shows as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Chae Jones interviews Mike Gray. Mike Gray hails from the great state of Texas. Born in Houston, by the age of 12, Mike’s interest in being a performer was realized when he made his acting debut at Canterbury Episcopal School in the play production Red Riding Hood. An eye opener to Mike, as well as his parents, performing was a hidden talent that obviously needed to be cultivated. Multi-talented and a skilled athlete, Mike became very involved in school sports which temporarily put his acting on the back burner. However, it was evident that the flame was still burning bright, as he couldn’t stop picking up the camera. Shooting hilarious YouTube videos with his friends, holding full-scale casting calls (in his mother’s living room) and further honing his skills as a budding actor, comedian and director/editor – Mike realized that entertainment was his passion. Upon graduation from Frisco High School, Hollywood came calling and Mike was accepted into the acting bachelors program at The American Musical & Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles. Taking full advantage of being in the entertainment capital of the world, Mike fully immersed himself into his training at AMDA, and gradually started to book short films, commercials, as well as stage productions. Mike was conspicuously talented, and shortly before graduating, he caught the eye of a local talent manager and quickly hit the ground running. Since that time, Mike has had turns on theater productions, web series’, national commercials, network television and feature films. A truly creative spirit, Mike also continues to expand his repertoire as a director and editor under the mantle Mike Gray Films, and has successfully produced numerous music videos, short films, web series and documentaries. Mike currently resides in Los Angeles. Proving his ability to connect to his audience, the artist has over 500 million views on YouTube for his creative and musical content and has opened for musical talent such as Bon Jovi, Ariana Grande and most recently DNCE. In this episode host Chae Jones interviews Lilimar Hernandez. Lilimar Hernandez  was born on June 2nd, 2000 in Venezuela. She has always been a creative and fun little girl. Since a very young age she was inclined towards the artistic world. At the age of 4, her artistic talent began as a model where she competed in the “Queen of the carnival” beauty pageant in her native country, and won. In 2006 she moved to Miami, Florida where she studied modeling at John Casablancas Modeling & Career Center. She then also completed acting courses and media training. Lilimar‘s career as a model, actress, and host became a reality by doing national and international commercials, multiple music videos, TV Pilots, webisodes, films as the leading role, print and runway works for national and international designers. In 2012, she was chosen by Univision to play various characters for their “Humor with the Kids” section in a popular variety show called “SABADO GIGANTE.” Lilimar was part of a Spanish speaking soap opera “Rosario” for both Univision and Venevision. She also worked as a host for the radio show “Pangea Kids” in 2013. She moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to play the role of “Sophie” on Nickelodeon’s show, “Bella and the Bulldogs,” which filmed until 2015. Lilimar plays the role of “Isabella” in CW’s newest web-series “Life After First Failure,” which recently aired in October 2017. Currently she plays “Sage”, a series regular on Nickelodeon’s upcoming TV show “Knight Squad” set to premiere in Spring 2018.
