Next up on the Airpod series is new signing Federico Grazzini. Living between Italy and Ibiza and always jumping from club to club around the world, Federico prefers long DJ sets where he moves between house and techno melting with his everlasting passion: funk. He has been playing in some of the best clubs worldwide, from Womb in Tokyo to Cielo in NY, from Watergate in Berlin to Fabric in London, and Tenax in Florence. His residencies in Cocoricò (Riccione), The Zoo Project and Unusual Suspects (Ibiza) makes him one of the most prolific Italian artists around. The mix showcases Federico's versatility, moving from house through to techno.

The airpod series returns with a new mix from an act who is currently in form of his career so far. Josh Butler ends summer 2016 with an Ibiza residency (Tribal Sessions @ Sankeys Ibiza) tucked under his belt, a packed out diary ahead of him and one of the most prolific record release schedules we have ever seen mapped out in front of him. The last quarter of this year sees Josh launch his ORIGINS label. Release 1 contains Josh collab with the truly legendary Marshall Jefferson and one of new school front men Sante. Alongside the label launch, original new material will arrive on Kerri Chandler's Kaoz Theory, a collab with close friend Darius Syrossian on ORIGINS plus a whole lot more, which we cannot reveal just yet. Air London celebrates a half century of the Airpod series, with a new mix from NYC house pioneers Mood II Swing. M II S returned to the limelight this year with their Strictly Mood II Swing compilation, which rightly detailed them as one of the most influential house music duos of all time. The 33 track anthology proved to be a catalyst for a new generation of fans demanding to see them perform as DJs. Subsequently, Mood II Swing has been out on the road performing at some of the US and Europe's best clubs. This new mix is the perfect way to bring up 5-0 and gives you a taste of what to expect from a Mood II Swing set in 2016.

This is simply a recording of me DJing at Le Bain in New York City which has been my home since they opened 6 years ago. I did Saturdays there for 3 years and then moved to Wednesdays. Wednesdays has been awesome because the crowd is a little more open to all types of music and tempos. Since Brooklyn has taken over New York nightlife there's been a steady decline in weeknight clubbing. Something that was always happening in downtown Manhattan when I was younger. So I'm trying to bring that tradition back and it's been working pretty well! This is just a taste of a normal Wednesday night. Dance music with soul and groove. Enjoy! - Eli

We round off the year with a mix from one of our artists of the year – Nick Curly. Nick is fresh from the biggest year of his – already stellar – career so far. His Trust parties are making an impact around the world, his 8bit label is reaching fresh heights in its tenth year. Musically, there has been a barrage of his own productions arriving on labels like his own 8bit Records, Truesoul and, shortly, debut releases on Drumcode and Mindshake. This set was recorded live at Berlin’s Watergate in early December, and shows an act truly in the peak of his career...

As a founding father of Slovenian techno, Valentino Kanzyani has been involved in the country’s dance scene since the mid 1990s. Evolving throughout the years since, Valentino is unquestionably one of the finest vinyl DJs on the scene today, committed to the art in its truest form.

Joining the Airpod series this month, recent signing and Houndstooth / Hypercolour artist House of Black Lanterns takes centre stage. His 2nd album is out recently, entitled 'You Were Telling Me of Mountains'. Primarily focused on the darker aspects of the dancefloor, his mix commandeers through a plethora of styles, as Detroit techno blends with bass driven UK house, alongside acid hints. With a new EP coming this month on Creme Organizations' Jericho One, an EPM single will complete a very solid year of releases.

Here's an exclusive mix I've put together for the Airpod series. David's been having a go at me cos he hasn't got a decent mix that represents the kind of stuff I'll play out in a set. Building upon their first EP on Tevo Howard Recordings, Kate Simko and Tevo Howard have rejoined forces, debuting their full-length album ‘PolyRhythmic’ on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth imprint. Native Chicagoans, Tevo and Kate grew up on house music, and their collaboration pays homage to their home city while exploring new creative territory. The duo’s album leaves few musical stones unturned, traversing through their melodic, classic, and genre-bending sound. This analog live show was performed in London, on Roland drum machines, a 303 emulator, and vintage Korg and Roland synths. Keeping their signature classic sound yet bringing a modern international influence, Kate Simko and Tevo Howard’s ‘PolyRhythmic’ LP is a masterfully crafted production from two of the current days’ most dedicated purveyors of house music. A natural alliance, ‘PolyRhythmic’ is an organic process by two artists who are eminently inspired by a varying array of styles. Combining their mutual passions, Kate and Tevo have created an authentic and soul-filled LP of the highest quality.
