#722: Pecan Pie and MORE

Discontentment may try to arise as you begin this year's holiday celebrations, but let's aim to cultivate thankfulness. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses five ways we can practice gratitude this Thanksgiving season in obedience to God and His Word. He shares biblical methods of expressing gratitude to God, fostering thankfulness for the blessings in our lives, repenting of ungratefulness, being thankful in spite of the hardships we face, and living humbly in service and generosity to those around us. The discipline of a grateful attitude instead of a grumbling one will bless us this holiday season.

#721: The Power of Gratitude & Thanksgiving

Life can be demanding, especially during the holidays. Instead of focusing on things to complain or be anxious about, God asks us to shift our perspectives and choose a different outlook instead. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the importance of fostering an attitude of thankfulness. He shares activities for the three days leading up to Thanksgiving to help us refocus our minds and hearts on the Lord and His many blessings in our lives. Our daily stressors and difficulties are real—but God is more powerful than any of them.

#720: All Things New - Something Better for Us

The Church in our nation is at a point where only God's intervention can change our future. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses preparing ourselves and welcoming God to do something new in His Church. The Bible tells us we shouldn't just expect the same things we've seen the Lord do before; instead, we should seek Him and look forward to something better. Pastor Allen draws from the stories of men like Daniel, David, and Peter to demonstrate that what we anticipate is rarely what God has in store—in fact, He has plans far beyond our understanding. To overcome evil and further the Lord's Kingdom, are we ready for Him to do something we've never seen before?

#719: The Overthrow of the Antichrist

We're watching as resistance to God's Kingdom increases and darkness in our nation and around the globe grows bolder—but when we learn to recognize God's character, intentions, and voice, His movement in the earth becomes more visible than the expressions of evil around us. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the figure and spirit of antichrist discussed in the book of Revelation. He offers history about the expressions of the antichrist we've witnessed before, and he shares how we can persevere in the face of growing lawlessness and persecution. We have a choice to make: Will we capitulate to fear and darkness, or will we decide to focus our attention and energy on the triumphant Lion of Judah?

#718: Fierce Time, No Fear

Hardship and troubling times won't come because of political or economic turmoil; these seasons will be driven by the degradation of human character. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses how we can live with peace through frightening times. We see in the Book of Revelation that we will need courage to persevere through persecution, but Pastor Allen reminds us that we can rely on God's judgment, justice, and provision to stand boldly. God has sent us the Holy Spirit as our helper, counselor, and comforter, and through Him, we can fulfill the assignment of the Church: sharing the Good News of God's Kingdom to the ends of the earth.

#717: Transforming Faith...Let's Grow

We should all strive to mature in our faith, but what does that look like? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses what it means to grow up spiritually and truly live out a transformational faith. He teaches that maturity means being responsible and accountable, and he shares biblical and practical advice on how to develop these traits in our daily lives. Practicing politeness and gratitude can change our thoughts and attitudes to align better with Scripture's definition of growth. Maturity won't exempt us from suffering, but it gives us the strength and skills we need to navigate difficult seasons. Our faith is intended to be transformational—not to get our way, but to be changed from the inside out.

Our nation is suffering from ungodly spiritual influences, but we can begin the healing process when we earnestly seek the Lord. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses what happens when we pursue God wholeheartedly. He shares the incredible impacts of fasting and prayer on our relationship with the Lord, on our spiritual growth, and on our nation. Pastor Allen also teaches about gifts that can come only from God, like righteousness and truth. #715: A New Destiny — Prayer and Fasting

Seeking God begins with a personal and deliberate choice, and it results in lifechanging responses from the Lord. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses pursuing the Lord through fasting and prayer. He draws from the lives of Daniel and other spiritual leaders in the Bible to teach how to fast, what sacrifice and self-discipline look like, and how the Lord is willing to respond when we humble ourselves before Him. Evil is rearing its head with the rise of lawlessness in our nation, but with God's power and authority it will be overcome. Our Lord writes new destinies for us when we seek His face.

#713: We Are Meant to Be Warriors [Special Guest Lt. Gen. (Ret.) William G. "Jerry" Boykin]

It's become fashionable to diminish our faith, but compromise is destructive. We are meant to be warriors for God's Kingdom. In this interview, Pastor Allen Jackson talks with Lieutenant General William G. "Jerry" Boykin, a retired Delta Force veteran, about being courageous and steadfast in our faith, even amidst difficult, life-threatening, and hostile situations. General Boykin reflects on his 36 years in the military and beyond, telling miraculous stories of God's protection and reassuring us that God will never leave us nor forsake us.  He also offers encouragement for fathers, intercessors, and anyone struggling with the temptation to capitulate their faith. "You need to know what your values are. You need to know what you believe in. You need to know what you're willing to sacrifice for, what you're willing to even die for," General Boykin said. "But you need to know why you believe it."

#712: Shaping Culture - When God Moves

The Bible says we’re going to need strength and effort to follow the Lord. In fact, the greatest demands of our lives will be attached to our faith. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses how we can step up and shape culture with our allegiance to Jesus Christ. It begins with intentional spiritual growth and discipline—often uncomfortable, but necessary. Pastor Allen shares the importance of influencing the next generation to practice godliness, and he speaks on the biblical reasons Christians should support the Jewish people. There’s a lot of pushback in the culture regarding those two issues, but God is shaking the earth, revealing Himself as the only steady foundation. We can trust that He will restore His people.

#711: Shaping Culture - God is Moving in the Earth

We see so much demonic disruption and expressions of evil in the world, but God is moving in the earth. We don’t want to miss it! In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the shaking we feel in our nation and around the globe. What started with COVID has progressed through events like the October 7 attack in Israel and the assassination of Charlie Kirk. These events reveal the weaknesses of things we once placed our trust in. Pastor Allen shares how these tremors point to the unshakeable Kingdom of God, and he teaches about how to impact the next generations for our Lord. He pulls from the lives of Apostles Peter and Paul to demonstrate the biblical foundation for our assignment to change culture. The Church can’t just be about sermons anymore—it’s about living our lives for Christ.

#710: Shaping Culture - Intent Matters

We shouldn’t have to apologize for taking our faith into the public square. It’s not the only worldview in the public arena, and we have every right to live out our faith intentionally. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the need for us to stop hiding our Christian identity and instead shine the light of God’s Kingdom purposefully in our homes and communities. We are responsible for instilling our biblical values and morals in the next generation, and that begins at our kitchen tables. It won’t be easy. We will face pushback and hardship, but most things worth doing require discomfort and effort. Let’s determine to do the difficult thing in pursuit of God.

#709: Shaping Culture - One Home at a Time

When we practice hospitality like God directs us to, He can change the course of history. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses how we can shape culture by opening our homes and being receptive to God’s instruction. He shares from the history of the early Church and how apostles like Peter and Paul practiced hospitality in ways that furthered God’s mission in the earth. Pastor Allen also relates the history of World Outreach, starting with his own family’s willingness to open their home to gathering, and he tells stories from the life of Corrie ten Boom, whose family’s hospitality saved over 800 lives during World War II. It’s rarely convenient to share your kitchen table with the community, but by practicing hospitality, we join with God in extending His Kingdom.

#708: Israel, God's People, and The Nations

It’s not always popular to stand for the truth, but are we willing to be voices for the Jewish people and the nation of Israel anyway? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the heritage of faith we inherited from the Jewish people. God has not and will not reject them, and it’s from them we receive our Messiah, Jesus. As World Outreach Church joins with the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews to commemorate the October 7 attacks, Pastor Allen shares practical steps we can take to show support and mercy for Israel. God is shaking the earth, and we want to move with Him.

#707: Israel, God's People, and The Nations - Special Guest Keith Isaacson

The same spirit that hates the Jewish people hates all of God’s children—including us. It’s an important time to use our voices for the people of Israel. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the events of October 7, 2023, alongside Colonel Keith Isaacson, the Director of Security for part of the attacked region in Southern Israel. Isaacson tells of his first-hand experience of the atrocities that took place, but he also shares hope for the rebuilding, restoration, and renewal of the communities in the area. Then, Pastor Allen teaches on God’s relationship with the Jewish people. He has not abandoned nor replaced them, and we should continually pray that they recognize their Savior.

#706: Shaping Culture — Satanic Responses

We don’t have the power to transform the culture we live in, but we do have the power to be obedient to God. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses Satan’s responses to God’s movements. In the Old Testament book of 2 Chronicles, we read about King Hezekiah’s obedience to the Lord, which brought about both a renewal of his culture and pushback, hardship, and threats from the enemy. However, as Pastor Allen shows, God is always faithful to intervene when we choose His ways. Like King Hezekiah, we will experience backlash when we live for Jesus—but if we will choose obedience to God in an unrelenting, courageous way, God will do what we can’t: transform our culture.

#705: Shaping Culture — The Essential Family

To foster the best outcomes for our children and families, we need to shape culture, not be shaped by it. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the role families play in engaging the culture for God’s Kingdom. He shares the biblical, God-given design for marriage, roles of spouses, and children. To give guidance on how to be a culture-changer, Pastor Allen also talks about King Hezekiah as a model for us. Deception is rampant in media, and it’s hard to know what to trust, but we can start at our kitchen tables by encouraging our families to lean into God’s Truth.

#704: Shaping Culture — One Generation at a Time

Ignoring the problems in our culture won’t make them go away. Instead, we need to ask God to move in our homes and communities and be ready to respond to His Holy Spirit. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the increasing lawlessness in our nation—and the growing movement to turn our hearts back to God that we’re seeing arise from the young people. He teaches about King Hezekiah, who had an assignment to change the culture in his lifetime, and he shares some lessons we can learn from this Old Testament leader about how to invite God to shape hearts. People are waking up to the reality of a biblical worldview, and we can be a part of what God is doing!

#703: Trying Not to Notice

Our nation is at a pivot point, and the outcome of this season largely depends on our responses to the Lord. Are we willing to suffer for the gospel of Jesus? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the persecution of Christ-followers and how we can respond to the hardships we will face. He teaches from the lives of apostles like Peter, Paul, John, and Silas—as well as recent Christian martyr Charlie Kirk—to share the importance of rejoicing through suffering. Consequences exist for living our faith publicly, but it is an incredible blessing to be counted worthy to suffer for Christ’s name.
