"You need to know what your values are. You need to know what you believe in. You need to know what you're willing to sacrifice for, what you're willing to even die for," General Boykin said. "But you need to know why you believe it."

The Bible says we’re going to need strength and effort to follow the Lord. In fact, the greatest demands of our lives will be attached to our faith. It begins with intentional spiritual growth and discipline—often uncomfortable, but necessary. Like King Hezekiah, we will experience backlash when we live for Jesus—but if we will choose obedience to God in an unrelenting, courageous way, God will do what we can’t: transform our culture.
