Altitudes by Etihad

With millions of cars off city streets and thousands of aircraft grounded at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, global carbon emissions saw a record drop of 7%. A reduction in emissions this large hasn't been seen since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.  But as vaccines begin to be rolled out and the world begins its recovery, some people are worried that  the only silver lining to come out of this pandemic will soon become threadbare. However, Etihad sees this as the beginning of air travel's sustainable future. 

People around the world have never been more conscious about their health when it comes to travel. So much so, that it made some of us realise how little we know about the effects that flying has on our bodies. To help answer some of our most pressing questions is Dr. Nadia Bastaki, Vice President of Etihad Medical Services and the first Emirati woman to be accredited as an expert in aviation medicine.
