I've got World Cup fever, I make no apologies for that. My weekday evenings are taken up with the beautiful game and all the trappings that go with it. Namely, sitting on the couch watching footers and drinking delicious beer. But I have managed to drag myself away from it all to give you #054. 1. Gruff Rhys - 100 Unread Messages 2. Courtly Love - For Your Love, I Get High 3. Happyness - Regan's Lost Weekend (Porno Queen) 4. Clipping - Summertime feat. King T 5. Lxury - We Do 6. Quirke - Break a Mirrored Leg 7. We're back, and this time a lot clearer than normal. I've been experiencing some technical issues recording in the last few episodes but I've bought a new mixer so hopefully it's coming through loud and clear. Same shit chat mind, just clearer. This week, I've got a whole load of guitars and not much in the way of anything else. So perhaps look away now.....or not. New singles from ....aeadj podcast favourites La Sera and DZ Deathrays. New bands like Tigercub and Broken Hands and music from the new albums from Protomartyr and Fear Of Men along with a few other nuggets.

The first ….aeadj podcast of 2014 features….a lot of music that came out in 2013. Not deliberate, but it’s just some stuff that has been knocking around for the last few weeks that I’ve enjoyed. There are, of course, a few nice shiny new things, something great that just came out the other day from Merchandise, something off the new Pixies EP and a fabulous track from the album by The Men. 1. Merchandise – Begging For Your Life 2. John Wizards – Lushoto 3. Toy – You Won’t Be The Same 4. Pixies – Magdalenda 5. Milk & Biscuits – Hairstyles 6. Cheerleader – New Daze 7. FEMME – Fever Boy 8. Champs – Only A Bullet Knows Where To Run 9. Circa Waves – Good For Me 10. The Men – Pearly Gates

The ....andeveryonesadj podcast returns from what feels like an eternity. I can only offer my most heartfelt apologies for the gap in transmission. Moving house sucked the life out of me, and the lack of internet in the new house only compounded my misery. But all is well, the light has been walked into and normal service will resume shortly. Until then, please accept this crumb of consolation, 10 tracks taken from my 10 favourite albums of the year. In no particular order (that's such a fucking cop-out). 1. Biffy Clyro - Different People 2. Kanye West - Black Skinhead 3. John Grant - GMF 4. The National - Pink Rabbits 5. Los Campesinos! - Avocado Baby 6. Jagwar Ma - Let Her Go 7. Hookworms - Since We Had Changed 8. Hooded Fang - Graves 9. Bill Ryder-Jones - You're Getting Like Your Sister 10. Arctic Monkeys - Knee Socks

A couple of weeks ago I was gifted with something I rarely get, the gift of time. And in that time I decided to record 2 podcasts. You will have heard the first of these podcasts, a week ago. Now, the time has come share with you the second part of this....whatever a 2 part trilogy is. Featured on episode #046 is something new from a guy I've had on here quite recently actually, Daughn Gibson, a demo from a band from Liverpool called Circa Waves and something from one of my favourite albums of the year. Plus other bits and Roberts. Cheers for downloading, Dog is great! 1. Oberhofer - Earplugs 2. Lust for Youth - Vibrant Brother 3. Kal Marks - Out In The Deep 4. Spring King - V-V-V-Vampire 5. Festival season has well and truly broken, in my case very much so, as last weekends beer lairiness will testify. Anyway, as my Instagram feed is flooded by images of beer cups with out of focus main stages in the background, I’m going to be keeping it real, on the podcatenspeil. Sorry, that made more sense in my head. This week, I open with Fuck Buttons, close with an oldie from Eddie Harris and the points in between range from psychadelic Merseybeat, West Coast Hot Rod and couple of tracks I pinched from the latest copy of The Fly. I am nothing if not shameless. 1. Fuck Buttons – The Red Wing 2. Childhood – Solemn Skies 3. Krill – Purity Of Heart 4. Thundercat – Lotus and the Jondy 5. Shannon & The Clams – Sleeptalk 6. Puffer – Human Juice 7. Salvia Path – House Of Leaves 8. The Merrylees – For You 9. La Luz – Brainwash 10. Eddie Harris – I Don’t Want Nobody

Is it summer yet? Can we all come out of our wooden and stone homes and feel the sun upon our naked skins? Even if we ask nicely? This podcast was recorded over a Bank Holiday Weekend and finished over the course of the following week. It started off sunburnt, and ended it up soaked through. This is not the way it should be. The podcasts face droops long with sorrow. There will be no tomorrow. I'm going to the North soon, I maybe some time. I may never return. 1. Crocodiles – Cockroach 2. The Avantist -Tidalwave 3. Traams – Mexico 4. Bill Ryder-Jones – You’re Getting Like Your Sister 5. Victima del Vaciamiento - I Won’t Ever Remember Your Name 6. The National – Pink Rabbits 7. Shady Elders – In The Waves 8. Ikonika – Mr. Cake 9. Haerts – All The Days 10. Mikal Cronin – Shout It Out 11. Velociraptor – Walk On By

So I made it back from SXSW in one piece, and for that reason alone I think we should all give praise. Saw some phenomenal bands, many of whom are included in this latest episode. If you ever have the opportunity to go to Austin, do so. Just avoid the Super 8 University motel. Along with some of my favourites from Austin I’ve got some tracks of a couple of great records that I’ve picked up in the last week or so. If you are in the market for a new album, you could really do a lot worse than the new John Grant record, it really is something special. 1. The Relatives – Bad Trip (Yep Rock Records) 2013 | Taken from an album that came out in February called The Electric Word, this old geezers can play. 2. Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats – Witches Garden (Rise Above Records) 2013 | Check them out on Facebook here, and if you’re lucky you might actually catch them live at some point too. 3. K-X-P – Melody (Mel0dic Records) 2013 | Touring Europe in April and May, you can see them live in Glasgow Broadcast on the 28th April. and in London on May 1st at Corsica Studios. 4. Autre Ne Veut – Carry (Mexican Summer) 2012 | Found this on their Soundcloud, it wasn’t on their album Anxiety that came out earlier this year. 5. Bass Drum of Death – White Fright (Fat Possum Records) 2012 | That track came out last year as a tour only EP, find out more here. 6. Savages – She Will (Matador Records) 2013 | Great band, everyone was right. 7. Queen Kwong – Eddie The Kid (Smoky Carrot) 2010 | Wikipedia suggest they are currently working on an album. Let’s hope so. 8. Mikhael Paskalev – I Spy (Mom & Pop Records) 2012 | Find out more at http://mikhaelpaskalev.com/ 9. Daughn Gibson – In The Beginning (White Denim) 2012 | From an album that came out in 2012 called All Hell. 10. John Grant – GMF (Bella Union) 2013 | Yeah, it’s fair to say I’m enjoying this Pale Green Ghosts album. The radio edit for this isn’t a good shout.
