Okay to spare everyone the stress, there is nothing on this podcast about Avengers Endgame. Well almost nothing. In it Christina and Will talk about a ton of things, mention Endgame and then wheel in to The Black Dahlia. Sorry for the delay between podcasts but this season has been a hard one for Christina and Will. When things start to get good in 2019 life seems to always creep in and make a mess. Still they love entertaining you with their adventures and today Christina has one for you! In the previous week on her job Christina had the opportunity to go visit the Eastern State Penitentiary. She tells us about the tour there and some of the cool history. This film has haunted the dreams of God knows how many children because their parents only see cartoons on the cover and never bother to read the DVD box. SO enjoy this short episode and rant! In Today’s episode of The DARKSIDE Will Åymerich, Kat Grant and Bruce Mangan. talk about a whole bunch of things but their main topic has become quite popular… The possible Alien communication called the Vrillon Speech. The event is as follows, A speaker interrupted transmissions for six minutes and claimed to be a representative of an “Intergalactic Association”. Reports of the incident vary, some calling the speaker “Vrillon” or “Gillon”, others “Asteron”. Eh who knows… The voice, which was disguised and accompanied by a deep buzzing, broke into the broadcast of the local ITV station Southern Television, overriding the UHF audio signal of the early-evening news being read by Andrew Gardner from ITN to warn viewers that “All your weapons of evil must be removed” and “You have but a short time to learn to live together in peace.” The interruption ceased shortly after the statement had been delivered, transmissions returning to normal shortly before the end of a Looney Tunes cartoon. Later in the evening, Southern Television apologized for what it described as “a breakthrough in sound” for some viewers. ITN also reported on the incident in its own late-evening Saturday bulletin… The broadcast took over the sound only, leaving the video signal unaltered, aside from some picture distortion. This is a big deal for me. After a long and hard 2018 and many attempts at getting this show started we got it done. After some editing I decided to release some of the demos before we got the main podcast rolling. in this preseason episode Christina and I talk about what happened this year and some of the adventures we shared. As well as a long talk about coffee and Italy. Stay to the very end and you get a little behind the scenes of us recording another episode… in this episode you also get to hear the delicate voice of my fur baby Pickles. I am proud that we got this back up and going. That is why I posted the first selfie she and I took as the featured image. that was the day this project went from idea to reality… Christina and I recorded this in the home office testing new equipment so there are some failures and limitations in the audio. As well as the droning noise of the TV set in the background. (We did not think the microphones were that sensitive) While you are listening to this check out the new website, it is not complete yet but will be by the Jan. 1, 2019 roll out.
