The Salesforce ecosystem has a plethora of partners, so we’ll discuss how to select the right partner for your implementation and how to effectively leverage their resources. WHO IS FARON YOUNG? Post a background in Mechanical Engineering, Faron moved into tech consulting, and over the last three years has implemented Salesforce to a number of businesses. He now works for Cloobees – a Salesforce partner renowned for the implementation of Salesforce Industries to organisations in the comms, energy & utilities and insurance sectors. Sivan has spent the last 15+ years working in technology, with the majority of that administering and managing Salesforce. Currently, she oversees a team of Salesforce and data experts at CALM – a suicide prevention charity. In this episode, we learn more about CALM and how they’re tackling the mental health crisis, as well as discovering how they’ve leveraged Salesforce to overhaul their donation process and better interact with their supporters. Since becoming an “accidental admin” back in 2012, Alastair has spent the last 10 years delivering Salesforce and IT projects, predominantly for software companies. Most recently, he’s been working for The Access Group as their Group Salesforce Manager, transforming their use of Salesforce, from purely a support function, to a platform that is essential to the businesses continued success. In this episode, we discuss how he changed the businesses mindset on Salesforce, how to successfully resource Salesforce projects and future plans to enhance Access’s customer experience leveraging Salesforce (amongst other things)! On this episode of the ‘Blazing A Trail’ podcast, I speak with Magdalena Borek – Sales Operations Analyst at GoCardless and a recent joiner to the Salesforce ecosystem. I’m often asked by people looking to transition into a Salesforce career, where do I start? What resources can I use to help me? How do I get a Salesforce job with no experience? With Magdalena, I cover all of this and more, as someone who has recently gone through this journey and is 4 months into her first Salesforce role.  After an extensive career in the healthcare industry (specifically nursing), Magdalena decided she wanted a radical shift in direction and stumbled across Salesforce via her partner. She soon fell in love with Salesforce through Trailhead and became determined to gain badges and certifications, with the intention of then securing a dedicated Salesforce role. Circa 18 months since first discovering Trailhead, Magdalena has passed her probation period as a Salesforce Administrator at GoCardless and is keen to start designing and building her own Salesforce solutions to support her users.

The second episode of the ‘Blazing A Trail’ podcast, features Guy Farrer Fisher, Director at PwC and member of the esteemed Salesforce Certified Technical Architect group. Over the last 8+ years, Guy has been delivering a number of complex Salesforce projects, both directly for customers and in a consulting environment, before more recently using his skills across technology more broadly.  Back in 2020, Guy became one of the youngest (if not the youngest ever), Salesforce CTAs - all without going to university! In this episode, we discuss the early stages of his career, his end-to-end CTA journey and the impact he’s now having across other technologies post CTA.

The debut episode of the ‘Blazing A Trail’ podcast, features Kathryn Castle and her journey from Business Systems Analyst to setting up her own fully-remote Salesforce consultancy. Kathryn is the founder of Candybox – a Salesforce consultancy, established in 2019, who focus on delivering RevOps projects within the high growth technology and SaaS verticals. Since conception, Candybox have successfully delivered projects for the likes of tech unicorns like Rippling and MURAL and now have a team of 12 people based across America and Europe. In this episode, we will discuss Kathryn's career path, what led her to found Candybox, and advice for others thinking about opening their own business.
