She is also the Chairperson of Health Alliance for Democracy (HEAD), an NGO with members from among health workers and health students working for the people’s right to health access for free, comprehensive and quality health care services within a strengthened public health system in the context of struggle for nationalism and democracy.

Una entrevista con el Colombiano Román Vega, médico, académico, especialista en salud pública y atención primaria en salud, cuando fue secretario de salud en Bogotá implementó Salud a su hogar un exitoso programa atención primaria integral en salud con equipos de atención, prevención acompañamiento en los barrios más vulnerables y que estaban integrados por un médico, enfermera y un promotor en salud y en ocasiones un veterinario para los animales de corral. Román Vega es un activista del derecho a la salud de todas las batallas y en la actualidad es el coordinador global del Movimiento por la Salud de los Pueblos.
