The censorship of scientists who challenge the communist narrative is pretty well attested to — even so far as attacking and canceling a Nobel prize winner, Dr. John Clauser, who was a featured presenter at this week's Deposit of Faith Coalition press conference in Baltimore. Of course, the Marxist media could not resist taking a pot shot at Clauser. In this, it was the Washington Post who attended the press conference and went on to publish this headline: "He won a Nobel Prize. Then he started denying climate change." In their push to end America, they have employed a dizzying array of weapons. The threat to the republic was spelled out in pretty clear terms by award-winning international journalist Alex Newman of Liberty Sentinel, who has been following this topic up close and personal for many years. Of course, whenever there is a some kind of Marxist, communist, globalist push going on, you can count on key people in the hierarchy to be cheerleading the effort, all in the name of social justice and "loving your neighbor," of course. That aspect or dynamic of all this has not escaped the careful watch of Mark Morano, who has done a terrific job of cataloging it for many years. Much ballyhoo surrounded the photo op when the developer of the company to plant the forest presented the certificate of award to curial Cdl. Paul Poupard on July 5, 2007. The Vatican was about to make history and was advancing the nonsense of climate alarmism. The green economy is phony because the science behind it is phony. A couple of years later, when Benedict was still pope, the entire roof of the Vatican's Paul VI auditorium was covered in solar panels to offset carbon emissions for the world's tiniest country. The panels were donated by a German company, SolarWorld — which was fitting because Benedict was German — who said the offset would save 70 tons of carbon emissions. The press release did not contain any information about how much carbon was pumped into the atmosphere in the harvesting of the raw materials to make the panels, nor the actual manufacturing of them, nor the transportation of them to Rome.  And in ten years, when the panels have reached the end of their useful lives and have to be torn off and thrown away, no word on which landfill the 2,800 panels would find their way to. Such much for caring for the environment. All that mattered was that the Vatican had been willingly enlisted as a publicity partner with its solar energy commitment and its brand new shiny carbon-offsetting forest, which, by the way, turns out was never planted because the company that said it would; it just never did. Nice photo op but no trees. The scientific tribalism surrounding the climate narrative has turned out to be a pretty big business, especially when you toss in billions and billions of dollars in government subsidies. But even with those tens of billions of dollars of your money to boost them up, corporations across the country and the world are throwing in the towel on the facade of a so-called green economy because it's losing massive amounts of money for them. The market for electric vehicles has collapsed, as Mercedes-Benz, General Motors and Honda have now discovered. Dealers can't sell them because consumers don't want them. Ford had so many 2023 EVs sitting around because dealers refused shipment that they have simply rebranded the supply as 2024 models and will try to offload them on consumers that way. Over in the windmill sector of the green economy, it's the same story, as company after company sees its profits crater, stocks fall and bank accounts drain. One Danish company has lost nearly $6 billion and multiple planned windmill farms are being canceled left and right. And when it comes to the solar panel industry, remember the German company that installed them on the roof of the Vatican auditorium? It went belly up in 2017 because of what it said was "ongoing price distortions" that prevented a "positive forecast for the future." Of course, warning signs were everywhere before the collapse. The year after the panels went into the Vatican "America last" mastermind Barack Obama had his administration direct a half billion dollars of your money to a solar panel company called Solyndra. Just two years later, in 2011, it went belly up. So much for your money and Obama's little pet project. Obama's Solyndra scandal, as it came to be called, was only the first in a string of such bankruptcies, which became so bad for irresponsibly directing tens of billions of dollars into an ideologically driven industry that even CNN got in on the action, blasting Obama. And so it goes all over the Green New Deal world of the socialists in D.C. who have diverted hundreds and hundreds of billions and billions in U.S. tax money into an industry that is collapsing, an industry not propped up because of science but ideology. As reality begins to set in, the chairman of Toyota began to politely rub it in the faces of automotive competitors a short while ago. This was when he said publicly about their massive losses that "people are finally seeing reality," which is Japanese for "I told you so." The green economy is phony because the science behind it is phony. The communists in D.C. and other countries around the world should probably understand how capitalism actually works before stealing tens of billions in tax money to blow it up. And just for curiosity, in ten years, just what company is the Vatican going to call to remove those useless solar panels, and what are they going to replace them with? Those are two climate freaks who just marched into the London National Gallery and took hammers to a 400-year-old famous painting "Rokeby Venus," valued at $90 million. The climate change lunatics are from the group Just Stop Oil and, on the same day, doused Birmingham University library in orange paint and went to London's West End and charged the stage, interrupting a performance of "Les Mis."  While physical violence and destruction may not be the first go to for commies, it is never far from consideration. It's just how they roll. By the way they were finally arrested and charged, we'll see how that goes though. The point — the Left will destroy anything in its supposed claim to want to save everything.  One of the giant claims of the eco-terrorist crowd is that "the downtrodden" take the brunt of it when it comes to greedy Christian Westerners using oil and coal to destroy the environment via climate change. A few desserts will likely be gobbled down as well. This happens twice a year, every year, at the expense of the Church (meaning you), as they continue to close parishes and schools, bellyaching there isn't enough money. TRANSCRIPT   Well, well, well — what do you know? In a rather ironic twist to climate alarmism, new scientific findings are showing the more we clean up air pollution, the more global warming increases. Talk about "can't win for losing." Quoting, from of all places, The New York Times last Friday, "This week, a team of scientists made public, data indicating that the planet is heating up even faster than expected. Among the factors cited by the researchers, who published their findings in the journal Nature Climate Change: lower levels of air pollution." Continuing with the Times story, "Reducing air pollution in the coming years would remove the cooling influence by a larger amount — good for lungs, bad for global warming." Well, ain't that a kick in the pants. Of course, the Times, like all the major media, is all in on the Marxist messaging that man causes the changes in the climate, so this story is getting played as a kind of one-off, bad, unintended consequence exception to an overall good story. The Times would never consider the alternative (not to mention true) story that man doesn't cause the temps to rise (or fall, for that matter). Rather, nature does that all on its own, as it always has. History's lengthy record shows all sorts of massive changes in climate, which were inadvertently noted down in relation to other stuff. Man doesn't cause the temps to rise. For example, there were fruits grown in northern Europe that today we consider more tropical or warmer climate fruits — yet, there it is, in the ledgers of monasteries who were selling the fruit as a commercial venture to stay open. There is, of course, the great retreat of the Ice Age. How did that happen? Certainly not from fossil fuel plants 10,000 years ago, unless the cavemen were really much smarter than we give them credit for. No, what's at work here is a giant spin-machine narrative based on a little factual data about the earth's temperature. Yes, the temps have increased, and even decreased. That's a fact. The lie part comes in when they say that man is causing that to happen with his oil and gas and coal industries. That part is not true. In fact, as we hear in the New York Times story, the exact opposite is going on. The more air pollution, the more global warming is dialed back, because the particulates clog the air, so to speak, and shield the earth to a degree from harmful solar radiation, keeping the temperatures down. So which is it, commies? Is the fossil fuel industry good because it reduces the temps or bad because it causes pollution? It's more like a "pick your poison" scenario, isn't it? The truth is always so compelling on its own that even The New York Times can't resist printing it every now and then (that is, mostly "then"). But humor aside, the corruption of the scientific narrative around the weather is noteworthy because of what it's used for, which is to advance the story line that fossil fuels are bad; that coal, oil, even natural gas and their continued use threatens man's very existence on the planet. That's called an "existential threat" — meaning a threat to your very existence. And phony Catholic Joe Biden never grows tired of the expression. To him and his comrades, everything is an existential threat this or an existential threat that. Fear is what these commie bastards traffic in, and not just reasonable fear but always end-of-the-world fear, which allows them to sell the phony baloney line that everything must change now. Of course, if there actually is a real threat and it is life-extinguishing, then that response is not altogether unwarranted. But none of this is true — none of it. It's completely made up so they can run around, scream about the end of the world and throw papers everywhere. If they really believe all that, then why aren't they row-boating their way across the oceans instead of jetting around on private planes that produce many times more carbon per person than the average commercial passenger? And that includes the U.S. bishops, who will be in Baltimore next week and who campaign against climate change alongside the Marxist Left but completely ignore that many flew in on their fossil-fuel guzzling airlines and ride in giant SUVs to go to $100 a steak dinners. It's completely made up. Many people are already familiar with the notorious case of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg and their stealing of the atomic bomb secrets for the Soviets. But that was specific government infiltration to get at military information to neutralize the United States' atomic advantage. What was not as widely known was the deep penetration into other aspects of American life — specifically religion. In sworn testimony before the U.S. Congress in 1953, former communist (turned Catholic revert) Bella Dodd broadly outlined the Soviet plan for working with Catholics: At different times in the history of the Communist Party, they emphasized the fact that it was possible for you to be religious and, at the same time, communist. But those were the periods in which they were trying to win over larger numbers of, let's say, Catholic trade-unionists, Catholic workers, and so forth and so on. Those were the periods which were called the periods of extending the hand of communism to the people in the religious groups. What you did was to say substantially this: 'These men have a blind spot. They believe in God, but we communists know that there is no God. But in order to get them to work with us, we will work with them on a minimum program.' As a matter of fact, even when you were in the Communist Party, the Communist Party from time to time established committees like the — there was a committee on Catholics for Human Rights, which consisted of communists who had been Catholics, whose purpose it was to work with mass organizations which had a large number of Catholics. It would be incorrect to think of Soviet communist infiltration into the world of Catholicism as some cloak-and-dagger effort with thousands of secret agents wandering the halls of seminaries with decoder rings and midnight liaisons, for example. The much larger, by far and away, effort was made by simply targeting certain individuals as well as leaders of various groups who could be persuaded that at least in many areas, Catholics and communists have common goals they could work on together (for the betterment of mankind, you know). The strategy to enlist sympathizers paid off handsomely. In short, they tricked them, finding a "soft spot" or "blind spot" they could capitalize on down the road. And they did. They hunted out what we could term "sympathizers." Dodd and other former communists all came forward in those early years of the 1950s and testified the same thing — that it was not really secret communists planted all over religious and other institutions, but associations made where the commies could convince their targets they could, and should, work together. The strategy to enlist sympathizers paid off handsomely. Why take the chance of having spies uncovered in colleges and media and churches when "locals" could do your dirty work for you? As we see looking around now, in the Church specifically, it worked like a charm. There may be here or there, in key roles in the Church, truly committed communists, but that's nowhere near as effective as having hundreds if not thousands of brainwashed useful idiots spouting your "social justice" vocabulary for you. The communists' agenda has a small (or maybe not so small) army of water boys who have been "persuaded" to think of the gospel in terms of saving the poor, the immigrant and the environment. And these water boys then construct an entire storyline about this, which floods into parishes, campus ministries, chanceries, seminaries and so forth, until it just all becomes accepted as fact. Again, yes, there may be, in fact, actual "card-carrying" commies in the episcopate, the priesthood and various lay groups, but that doesn't really matter. What does matter is the message being spread — and frankly, you can get a lot more subversive activity accomplished without your own agents doing it. What needs looking at is the actual messaging and if it comports with a communist worldview. When it comes to man being the cause of climate change, it comports perfectly. There is zero scientific evidence to support that claim. Its real goal is to knock America down by so weakening the fossil fuel industry, that we lose our economic advantage over the rest of the world. This is all part of a much larger effort by Marxists in D.C., as well as corporate board rooms, to "transition" the country from fossil fuels to so-called renewable energy sources of wind and solar power to feed the electric grid. What they don't tell you is that there is nowhere near enough capacity with those sources to keep the lights on, literally; and the push, for example, for electric vehicles, which appears to be falling flat, would only add to an already over-taxed system. Remember just last year when California governor and phony Catholic Gavin Newsom was cheering a new state law making all new vehicle sales be of just electric vehicles, and months later said the strain on the state's existing electric grid was too great and then regulated how and when electric vehicles could be charged up? If the strain is too great when a only small percentage of vehicles are drawing down power for the state's grid, how on earth will it stand up to 14 million cars plugged into it? It's nuts. Here's the deal — all these claims and supposed solutions are bogus. Man isn't destroying the environment and creating massive climate change. Solar flares are. Undersea volcanoes are. (To name just two major causes.) TRANSCRIPT   Next week is the big press conference in Baltimore during the bishops' annual meeting there, blowing the lid off the phony science surrounding environmental alarmism and its economy-devastating consequences. Easy answer, because they at least see and understand the importance of not giving up any more ground in the battle for culture and politics. Catholics don't, at least for the most part. Obviously, many Catholics who support Church Militant get it. But outside of a few pockets here or there, like us, Catholics have been AWOL in this war. Many have failed to understand what has been going on in the Church for decades regarding the bishops' alignment with the Marxist agenda of the Democrats. The bishops have been given a pass by the average Catholic, trusting way too much. And wicked men with miters have cashed in on that and have become, in a sense, the greatest enemies of the republic you never knew you had. They push the entire agenda of the Party of Death — Obamacare, illegal immigration, climate alarmism, the Green New Deal and "health" issues — so much so that, as we said before, Ronald Reagan's administration in the 1980s used to call the bishops the "Democratic party in robes." Even on the question of abortion, the bishops did draw a sort of dotted line there. But it's so vague that most of the time they say nothing meaningful. To this day, the bishops, after tens of millions of innocent babies have been slaughtered in the womb, still have not taken up one national collection in support of pro-life work — not one! It's been faithful lay Catholics who have led on this issue, not them. Disgraceful. I can't imagine how they are going to try and explain that to the Judge when they see Him. Good Catholics who are politically astute need to grasp that — in the area of politics, culture and even the faith, oftentimes — the bishops are the enemies of the average believing Catholic. And the entire Catholic establishment, what we here have dubbed "Catholic Inc.," is totally down with all of this — covering for them, deflecting for them, censoring for them, you name it. Many of the leaders and luminaries of the Church have set themselves in opposition to you, your children, the faith and the nation. It's just that simple. Study it; grasp it; cry over it and then commit to fighting it. Just like we did here all those years ago. Allow me to ask this: If we were wrong in reporting what we have, even when the entire corrupt Catholic establishment was blackballing us, was our reporting wrong? So let's ask the obvious question. Why wouldn't good Catholics try to link arms with men and women of goodwill who are fighting the same political and cultural battles we are? Of course, there are theological differences, duh. But there are greater theological differences with a majority of the hierarchy than there could ever be with these men of goodwill. At least they believe in objective truth, even if the implications of all that need to be spelled out more clearly. Everywhere we go, even before Francis, Protestants we encounter ask us why the Church is so liberal. And frankly, who could blame them for drawing that conclusion? What they don't understand — and have no way to understand it unless it's explained to them by faithful Catholics — is that the leaders who are off the rails do not comprise the Church. Unlike protestant congregations that do rise and fall on their individual pastors, Christ is the supreme pastor of the Catholic Church, and it cannot fall. Like Good Friday, it can go through very dark times, but 2,000 years later, we're still here. And here's the point: We always will be. There are Judases, but the Faith itself remains.  So working on these cultural and political battles presents a chance to actually evangelize men and women of goodwill to help them get their arms around what many Catholics fail to do or don't care to — that the teachings of Christ are being betrayed and sold out for the modern-day version of 30 pieces of silver. When you think about it, it's actually not that hard of a concept to grasp, at least from the 60,000-foot level. It's when you get into the weeds that things need breaking down and going over. And on that score, may we ask, in all sincerity and humility, who do you trust more than Church Militant to open up these discussions with men and women of goodwill? Church Militant has been in this foxhole fighting for going on 20 years and has been appalled at the lack of support for the truth of the situation from among Catholics, even those who style themselves as faithful. Their first order business has been to protect their own turf, their own investments, their own agenda, worrying about how this bishop or that parish might come after them and retaliate if they went all in. TRANSCRIPT   America is breaking apart. In some respects, it already has.  People are fleeing blue states at an increasing rate and taking up residence in red states. That often means leaving family, jobs and comfort behind. They don't want their children being raised in a tyrannical environment where immorality and corruption are exalted as goods, so, as has happened throughout human history, they flee. The entire American experience, in fact, is predicated on that very reality — from the War of Independence to the waves of mostly Catholic immigrants a century or so later, normal average people wanting to be left alone to live their lives and raise their families in decency and honesty, not threatened with tyranny and all its associated limits on freedom (its phony justice system, prison and even executions). Pushed far enough and inspired by protecting those they love, people start shooting at some point. That's why the findings of not one but two recent public surveys are so telling, that near majorities, 43% and 46%, believe there will be a civil war in the United States within the next 10 years. Personally, given the trajectory, I don't believe it will be that long — again, if affairs continue at this pace. But that's just my personal opinion. People will only take so much for so long, especially when their children are in harm's way. But before the blood potentially flows, other avenues must be pursued. Whether they will be fruitful remains to be seen, and it is the proverbial case of crossing that bridge when we come to it. Near majorities believe there will be a civil war in the United States within the next 10 years. Maybe we have already come to it, but, then again, maybe not. But as long as that remains in question, and it does, every other possible avenue must be vetted and attempted. Maybe some states begin serious secession movements. Perhaps red states prevent newly arrived citizens from blue states from voting in state elections. Perhaps the mass immigration really taking hold will simply settle the matter all on its own. Who knows? Gazing into the future and making precise predictions is a very tricky business and oftentimes has bad unforeseen consequences. That's why it's best to deal with exactly what you have in front of you and know about.  In this great developing American divide, which shows no let up at all, what we know is that much of it has been caused by lies from Marxist ideology spewed into the cultural and political environment by the Democratic Party. Large sectors of the Republican Party have sat back and let all this happen, of course, unwilling to defend against the onslaught. But let's lay the cards on the table: It is the Democratic Party that has engineered this chaos because it is communist these days. So what's going on here is very akin to large numbers of East Berliners fleeing into West Berlin as the commies were constructing the infamous Berlin Wall. Many Americans in blue states rightly or wrongly perceive the same type of danger, and they are getting out, opting to move. So two different nations are beginning to emerge here. And while not formal, of course, at least yet, the basis for that, the groundwork, is just happening. The problem, however, among a multitude, is the ideology that dominates in individual blue states is the same ideology that dominates in Washington, D.C., on a federal level.  That in fact is the crux of the problem and is driving the emerging question of secession. You can pack up your family and leave a blue state, but you can't "leave" a blue D.C. Hence, the increasing tilt of a near majority of Americans who look down the road and see a civil war on the horizon. If Washington is not changed and changed dramatically, and soon, then the options on the table suddenly become far fewer. The most dominant way the D.C. communists, and that is what they are, have controlled citizens is through their propaganda, spewed out of every major Marxist media ally they have, as well as friendly federal judges and social media and giant tech firms. They understand that information is king because it has the ability to change everything. Indeed, that is how they changed everything — by getting control of the media. Those notables and another 130 high-powered leaders joined in signing the Westminster Declaration, a document calling for an end to the censorship madness because of its threat to democracy. And at whom is the declaration aimed? Joe Biden, specifically, for his largely successful attempts to enlist Facebook and all the rest of them in censoring the legal free-speech opinions of ordinary Americans about hot-button issues of the day. To their credit, even celebrated liberals among them are saying enough is enough — so much so that they put their signatures on the document. And when you get as wide a variance as Jordan Peterson and Tim Robbins, each in agreement that there's a big problem, then there's a big problem. Shouldn't be too long now before they are being censored, refused movie roles, canceled from college speaking engagements and so forth. As two of the signatories aptly dubbed this the "censorship industrial complex," it has reached unbelievable heights. And, of course, it's all brought to you by the communist Democrats. Even celebrated liberals are saying enough is enough. They assemble teams of "experts" from among themselves and then announce what is "misinformation" or "disinformation." And those labels extend across every group and touch on every subject — and the signatories are fed up, even the really liberal ones. Give them credit for at least standing up to their own social media warlords. One important line from the declaration was, "This weaponization has resulted in the censorship of ordinary people, journalists, and dissidents in countries all over the world. ... Across the globe, government actors, social media companies, universities, and NGOs are increasingly working to monitor citizens and rob them of their voices." Imagine Tim Robbins signing on to that. But it's gotten that bad folks. And remember, they signed this, made a big public splash and sent it to Biden, publicly. If that doesn't tell how big the problem is, nothing will. His own supporters telling Ol' Brain Dead to back off. Of course, we all know it's not good old Uncle Joe but his masters who want free speech squelched. That's what commies and other tyrants do to lock down power. They silence you. TRANSCRIPT   One of the most disturbing appointments to the College of Cardinals Pope Francis has made, among many, is the elevation of Robert McElroy of San Diego. Among the many horrible, virtually un-Catholic positions the recent cardinal has enunciated is one that has to do with the preposterous position that climate change is so bad that it actually claims more lives around the world each year than abortion. For the record, according to the Guttmacher Institute, there are 73 million abortions worldwide every year. So where Cdl. McElroy is getting his number that more than 73 million people die every year from changes in the weather is a little dumbfounding — likely because it's not true. McElroy is notorious for skirting Church teaching in the area of sexual morality and has deemed it a worthy cause to promote "social justice" as more important than individual justice and charity. He and his kind hate the Church, and they hate America. Among his chief bothers is the constant change in the atmosphere that most normal people simply call "the weather." For the bad cardinal, changing weather must be stopped and prevented in the future at all costs. He, like Pope Francis, goes on to ascribe these atmospheric changes not to the normal course of the world's changing environment, but specifically to man, especially America. Mean old bad nasty America. He completely disregards hard scientific facts like increased volcanic activity on the ocean floor causing rising sea temps. For him, solar flares are nowhere near as much of a threat as driving your nonelectric vehicle is. But hey, don't confuse the cardinal with actual science. That's because the actual science simply explodes his world of substitute morality, where man and the earth are elevated over God, where the two greatest commandments are switched. When that happens, the door is open to all sorts of shenanigans. And McElroy is one of the leading proponents of all this. In truth, he and his kind hate the Church, and they hate America, at least as we have traditionally understood the nation, because, with all its many flaws, a free America at least gives the opportunity for the Faith to thrive. In a communist state, or one approaching it, the Faith is much more easily suffocated. So the fight over America is nothing more than a proxy war for men like McElroy, whose real object of detestation is the Church and Her teachings. Think of Judas disingenuously rambling on about the poor. The "patron saint of social justice," as Bp. Sheen styled him. All of this makes the war for the soul of America a war we Catholics must be involved with. It's why the Marxists began invading the halls of power of the Church a hundred years ago and have never let off the gas since. The bishops have melded themselves almost entirely into the Democratic Party, if not explicitly for all of them, then by implication and quietly going along for most of them. Not for nothing did Ronald Reagan's administration label the USCCB as "the Democratic Party at prayer," sometimes referred to as "the democratic party in robes." So it cannot, by the wildest imaginings, come as a surprise that when it comes to the Green New Deal and environmental alarmism, the bishops, along with their fellow travelers on the religious Left, are standing right alongside the Democrats in pushing the lies about changes in the weather being caused by man. It's just not true, none of it. TRANSCRIPT   Like a taste of some international intrigue and how the phony science engendering environmental alarmism is at the heart of it? OK, then sit back and follow the bouncing ball. We're going to bring together some seemingly unrelated points in this Vortex. But the big picture is that China is a communist nation and wants control of the planet. Let's start there. Easy enough. Its major opposition, of course, is the United States, which must be weakened and neutralized. Again, easy enough. So let's look at how it is going about this, and for that, we will turn our attention first to Europe. In order for China to gain entry to the halls of power in European capitals, it needs "access." This is where Italy comes in. For the past decade or so, China has poured thousands of Chinese nationals into the Italian nation, predominantly in a multitude of industries in northern Italy. That little tidbit came out at the beginning of the pandemic as people were asking why Italy was hit so hard by the virus. For the Chinese, it would be the Vatican that would prove to be the access point to Italy. China's two-pronged plan — global domination by influencing European politics and weakening America — is detailed quite extensively in a recent book entitled Red Contagion: How Italy Has Become China's Trojan Horse in the West. The author is Francesco Galietti, a highly respected and much sought-after business consultant who founded Policy Sonar, an outfit that tracks, among other things, massive movements of money around the globe through multiple hedge funds. In his book, he details how China targeted Italy as the "soft underbelly" path into European politics, specifically because of the heavy involvement of the Vatican in Italian politics. For the Chinese, it would be the Vatican that would prove to be the access point to Italy — and from there, the rest of Europe.   In his tracking of international hedge funds, Galietti tripped across information revealing that Rome has been getting $2 billion a year from Red China, a data point that was later confirmed and expanded on by Chinese billionaire dissident Guo Wengui, who said the deal has been going on for years now. That, of course, helps explain the secret Vatican–China accord of 2018 brokered by Theodore McCarrick and explains Rome's willingness to throw Chinese Catholics under the bus. But there's much more here. That is just China's European plan, which, of course, dovetails nicely into its American plan — with the Vatican being at the heart of both plans. In America, the plan involves the destabilization of the U.S. economy, especially in the area of energy independence. And this is where the whole climate issue arises. Junk science has been pushed through universities that are raking in billions in U.S. government research dollars for promoting fake science, and the mainstream media have been banging the drum for environmental alarmism for years. This, despite the fact that China ranks near the very top of countries polluting the planet.  But you'll notice that no one ever brings up that point because it would cause the entire plot to unravel. China gets treated like Hunter Biden's laptop, Jeffrey Epstein's suicide and ballot harvesting by the Marxist media — nothing to see here folks. When Trump pulled out of the Paris climate accord, the Marxist media went ballistic, accusing him of destroying the planet. Supposedly dangerous emissions from the United States can't hold a candle to those of China, yet not a mention because the media are also down with the "America last" policies. And so is Rome.   For this reason, Pope Francis and his pontificate, including many bishops here in the United States, have also been banging the drum about the coming collapse of the world because of the environment. Stupid. But hey, when the Vatican is pulling down $2 billion a year, maybe the name China just gets left out. Earlier this month, on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, of course, the pope released his latest uninformed (we hope) rambling on the environment, Laudate Deum (Praise God). He uses the document to blast what appears to be Americans living lifestyles that are supposedly destroying the environment. Meanwhile, there's not a word on China, despite its near-world-record level of emissions. "The oceans are boiling, and America is to blame" would be a decent summary from a layman's perspective. But while he's big on citing data points on temps and storms and so forth and their impact on his underlying point that man is to blame, he provides nothing by way of proof, because there is no proof. And there is no proof because it's not true. It's called the weather, Holy Father. Global temps rise and temps fall, always have and always will. But of course, the ignorant assertion that man and specifically Americans are the evil actors behind all this has no scientific backing at all, and Catholics are under zero obligation to believe so. But the propaganda plays nicely into the hands of the commies in Beijing who want to keep this garbage going so their counterparts in D.C. will keep passing legislation that erodes the U.S. economy. Think the Green New Deal.  Smart move by the Chinese. Buying off the Vatican not only got them eventual access into European politics, but it has also "baptized" all this in America, seemingly with the blessing of the pope. Francis even went out of his way to laud the U.S. bishops for their role in pushing this nonsense nonstop. Man has nothing to do with the changes in the environment. It changed long before we were here. Remember the Ice Age? TRANSCRIPT   In 2017, when the Vatican secretary of state endorsed and approved an article being published in a well-read journal attacking Church Militant for somehow aligning with evangelicals to establish a theocracy in America, it was total garbage. However, we must give a tip of the hat to the Marxists in Rome, namely, Fr. Anthony Spadaro, who wrote the laughable hit piece entitled "Evangelical Fundamentalism and Catholic Integralism: A Surprising Ecumenism," in which he labeled the alleged cooperation between Church Militant (yes, called us out by name) and evangelicals "an ecumenism of hate." Well, at the time, no such cooperation existed — certainly not in any formal way. So we did wonder, what the heck is he talking about? But back to that tip of the hat. That and proceeding events in the culture made us look in the mirror and ask, "Why aren't we working with these folks who are (1) certainly more patriotic than the average Catholic, and (2) more Catholic than the average Catholic, including many clerics and hierarchs?" Spadaro's stupid assessment actually provided us a blueprint to begin moving down the road and linking arms, where possible, with like-minded U.S. patriots of goodwill. So, back then, we didn't have our official "ecumenism of hate"; but now we do — an "ecumenism of hate" toward the destruction of America by domestic enemies (namely the Religious Left, including some U.S. bishops and their Saul Alinsky–inspired, perverse "social justice" narrative. Alinsky partnered with Catholic bishop Bernard James Sheil. The same man that trained none other than Barack Obama as a "community organizer" even paid for him with Catholic money in Chicago, a point he did not fail to raise during that scandalous speech at Notre Dame's commencement in May 2009. Ever since Saul Alinsky penetrated the Church through his labor union dealings in Chicago, stupid and ignorant (not to mention malevolent) bishops have adopted his false narrative. In 1940, Alinsky partnered with Catholic bishop Bernard James Sheil, The Chicago Sun Times and department store owner Marshall Field, to found the Industrial Areas Foundation, a national community-organizing network. Notice that partnership: media, corporate America and religion! From then, it was off to the races.   Alinsky was all about undermining America, which is why Obama and Hillary were enthralled with him. But so too were many U.S. hierarchs. Any narrative that came out of that ideology they swallowed up like cotton candy at the county fair. So as Alinsky disciples flowed out into the ranks of the Democratic machinery, many Catholic clerics followed suit. Even as the public narrative changed somewhat to be a "care for the poor," a kind of softer, gentler presentation of the whole social justice movement, bishops followed suit, essentially baptizing it for the average Catholic. Soon, "care for the poor" became the greatest commandment, and the one that would begin to reap billions for the hierarchy, right down to today. And soon, the Democrats were transforming into "America last" Marxists and working hand in glove with their partners in robes at the Catholic bishops' conference and the rest of the then-developing Religious Left. They are now nearly indistinguishable, leftist bishops and the commie Democrats; pushing the same agenda, illegal immigration and environmental alarmism. So Church Militant and our fellow Deposit of Faith Coalition members are now going to build on the success of our first press event on illegal immigration we held in D.C. in July and are holding another, this time in Baltimore (while the bishops are holding their annual meeting), with the topic being "Challenging the Climate Claims of the Left." We've attached the press release going out to dozens of politically conservative media outlets for your viewing pleasure. And here's a very important point to note, and the very thing the bishops cannot control — these media outlets as well as the majority of speakers are not Catholic. Bishops cannot blackmail or threaten them for their stories on how they're undermining the republic. Notice, with 25 million media impressions from our D.C. press event on illegal immigration, not one Catholic media outlet covered it. Not one. And you know why. The hierachy's control over the Catholic media world has been perhaps one of the most frustrating things Church Militant has ever had to encounter, and that's saying a lot. They simply refuse to tell a story the bishops don't like. They are owned, bought and paid for by the USCCB. But mostly Protestant, or at least men-of-goodwill political types are not beholden to the bishops and can report anything they deem newsworthy in their respective journalistic realms. They just need to know, which is the entire point of this press conference strategy Church Militant and the Deposit of Faith Coalition have developed. Simply do an end run around the wall of lies and protection the bishops have constructed for themselves and let non-Catholic media, who have much more integrity than their Catholic counterparts, tell the story. It's little else than blitzing the liberal bishops, plain and simple, at their vulnerable flank. For example, the empire of lies liberal bishops add to and profit from regarding supposed environmental damage owing to man. (This communist Democratic talking point repeated ad nauseam by Catholic clergy is undermining the republic by destroying our energy independence, as just one example.) They simply refuse to tell a story the bishops don't like. Americans at least instinctively know it when they go fill up; gas used to be $1.80, but now it's $3.80. But liberal bishops and commie Democrat elites don't care because someone else pays for their gas. And food and housing and insurance — and and and. So to expose all of this and the role of the Religious Left, our strategy is to ignore Catholic media like they ignore truth and instead enlist the help of non-Catholic media who actually care about truth but just need some help connecting the dots. That's what this press conference in Baltimore is all about, regarding the lies that have been shoveled at us by bishops and Democrats and major media, a multi-headed leviathan. There is no silver bullet or magic wand here.  It's just hard work and continual pounding and being more relentless than they are.
