Reviewed: Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 Top 5: Heartwarming Movies   Grab the tissues and find somebody to hug! Tis the season to watch something heartwarming and that’s just what we’re doing today. We’ve got our Top 5 Heartwarming movies this week Jawheads. That’s not all – we’ve got one of the last horror movies of the year in for our review this episode too. Matt got out to see if Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 is pizza party worthy.  Ryan’s got some brief thoughts on two year-end sequels just before trivia this week as well folks. It’s a jam-packed one!

Reviewed: Arco, Eternity, Conan The Barbarian (2011), Rental Family   I am 7 pounds heavier. My bank account is remarkably low after winning a death match over a TV. And I think my family might never get together again. So it’s been the typical American family’s Thanksgiving Jawheads. And if you guys weren’t full enough already – lemme tell ya, Matt and Ryan overcooked this one. We’ve got a special Review-O-Rama with FOUR dip-dang reviews this week! We start with the animated art-house flick Arco. A little peak into the afterlife with Eternity, a rom com staring Miles Teller and Elizabeth Olsen, comes up next. Matt caught up with the 2011 Conan The Barbarian movie (as a reference to that trivia a few weeks back) – and that’s… real life. Like I’m not kidding we went there and it’s spicy. Lastly, we take it all home with Brenden Fraser’s Rental Family… (Like, the new movie he’s in titled: Rental Family… Not his own personal family that he happens to rent. I don’t know anything about Brenden Fraser’s family and don’t want to be sued for defamation and libel). It’s a big one guys. And Ryan’s drunk on champagne. Matt’s crying and arguing with his brother. It’s a simpler time before we knew this was exhausting. And we all love you. Take her EZ babes, -KP

Reviewed: Wicked: For Good Top 5: Musicals of the 2000s Monthly Theme: Cynthia Erivo   This week, we get down and funky as we let our pipes bellow. That’s right, we’re doing our top 5 musicals of the 21st century (so far). We’re doing that list in honor of Wicked: For Good, the conclusion and sequel to the hit musical from just last year. We’ve also got our standard Cynthia Erivo month festivities and we’re even doing some of that classic Stump the Kubinski we know you know and love! This is going to be a good one folks! Enjoy.

Reviewed: The Running Man Top 5: “On The Run” Movies Monthly Theme: Cynthia Erivo   *KP is sweaty and anxious* **More than she usually is** “Okay Jawheads – I’ve got little time to explain so you’re going to have to listen very closely:” *Panicked breathing continues* “This week on CinemaJaw… we’re going over the Top 5 ‘On-The-Run’ movies. Like… movies where the characters are escaping the law or some threat or something.  It’s because we’re reviewing The Running Man, the new Edgar Wright movie. I know; I thought it was the dance too. BUT IT’S NOT. And now, Edgar Wright sent some goons after us and is trying to kill us. So we gotta go. Grab your air pods. Grab your Raycons. I don’t care what you grab, but we gotta go. Edgar is REALLY mad and I think he knows where we are.” *Silence for a few moments. Only KP’s rushed, unsteady breathing can be heard.* “Okay fine!! There’s also trivia. Matt’s playing 80s Movie Remake – Stump The Kubinski. LET’S GO!!” *All the Jawheads in the entire world follow KP moments before Edgar Wright and Glen Powell shoot the locks off the door and barge in saying “Find them”*

Reviewed: Predator: Badlands Top 5: Movie BADASSES Monthly Theme: Cynthia Erivo   This week on CinemaJaw, Matt and Ryan walk away from an explosion in slow motion. Because they. Are. Badasses. We’re reviewing Predator Badlands this week, and, lemme tell ya folks – this movie is badass. So we figured now is the best time we could decide to go over the baddest of the bad with our Top 5 BADASSES in movies – alongside our review of the one and only Predator: Badlands, of course. And, we even have ourselves a new theme! It’s a new month, and we had to do somebody totally… badass (obviously). So we went with Cynthia Erivo: absolute legend they are. That’s about all the exposition I could fit in with the slow motion explosion footage I grabbed of Matt and Ryan, so why don’t I quit writing and go on with the hardcore episode with the coolest of the cool. Reviewed: Frankenstein, Frogs Top 5: Classic Lit Adaptations Monthly Theme: Jeff Bridges   It was the best of Episodes. It was the worst of Episodes. Dust off your library card JawHeads, because today we’re talking classic lit! We’re doing it in honor of Guillermo Del Toro’s new Frankenstein flick. This one’s supposed to be **book-accurate** too, whatever that means! Plus, since we’re already knee deep in books, we’re going with our top 5 classic literature adaptations. Bring out your Harper Lee, okay guys. Show me some Ray Bradbury, but don’t let him smuggle in matches again. And Oscar Wilde? Yeah – him and that painting of his are invited too. Except none of those people nor books show up in this episode because that would be spoilers. This is a good episode guys! We also have our review of Frogs and a recap of our event with Ali’s Reptile Den at The Music Box this past week! You aren’t gonna want to miss it guys.   -KP

Reviewed: Bugonia, John Candy: I Like Me Top 5: Horror Movies of the 2000s Guest: Cati Glidewell Monthly Theme: Jeff Bridges   Listen guys – we’ve been loving the millennium recap episodes we’ve been doing. The top 5 ______ of the 2000s lists. And what better time than the last week of October to do our TOP 5 EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT MOVIES OF TH… wait… what?? Oh god… Okay, I’ll let everybody know. Sorry about that Jawheads. I just got word for the suits that there’s been a slight issue. We are pivoting this week and doing the top 5 HORROR movies of the 2000s in honor of something called… Hollow ween? We would like to formally apologize to all the new parents excited to hear our films about early childhood development; this is a bad episode for you as your children will get scared. BUT – on the bright side, we do have a great guest to cover our top 5 Horror movies of the new millennium! We’re bring back Cati Glidewell aka The Blonde in Front! She’s a friend of the show and an amazing critic with a particular attraction the spookiest of spooks. And, since we feel bad about the whole… horror movie list instead of children’s list thing: we’d like to apologize by giving you all 2 reviews this week! The first one is for the new Emma Stone flick Bugonia! It’s directed by the ICONIC Yorgos Lanthimos, and we can’t wait to share it with you. As for the second review, we’ve played our tricks, so you deserve a treat. And what’s a better treat than Candy? JOHN Candy?? We have just the review for you! Reviewed: A House of Dynamite Top 3: Graveyard Scenes Guest: John LaFlamboy Monthly Theme: Jeff Bridges   BOOOOO!! Did I scare you Ghouls and Gals? I hope so, because this week we are FINALLY getting into the Halloween spirit on this dip-dang show! That’s right, it is our annual Hell’s Gate episode with the one; the ONLY John LaFlamboy.  As always, John is far too kind to us when we come out and visit the haunt. And, I personally believe that’s because he’s absolutely menacing to us when we’re in the actual haunt. Makes the scares scarier.  So we have John on to talk about the haunt. What’s new; what’s exciting. What the people need to know about Hell’s Gate.  And, to spoil a tiny, itty-bitty part of Hell’s Gate, there’s a new addition in the form of a hand-built haunted mausoleum. And in honor of that new addition, we are going in on the top 3 graveyard scenes in movies.  Plus, we even found the time to squeeze a review in this week! Ryan caught Netflix’s A House of Dynamite. And we know you’re all wondering if this Nuclear War Thriller is… Dynamite!! You’re just gonna have to listen and find out folks! Stay spooky. Stay scary. And wear a costume will ya! -KP

Reviewed: Tron: Ares, Roofman Top 5: Ecological Horror Films Guest: Ali’s Reptile Den Monthly Theme: Jeff Bridges   This week on CinemaJaw, we’re talking ROBOTS AND SNAKES BABYYYY.  I’m gonna keep things 100p guys, I tried framing this writeup as though I had Chat GPT do it – but I don’t know how Chat GPT writes well enough to copy it. And then I realized, what if people just believed me that I had Chat GPT do it? Then I started wondering: is me writing the Jaw Post this week really that much different from AI writing it? Am I really that different from AI? How do I know I’m **NOT** AI, and there’s some user controlling me beyond my comprehension? Why do I even want to pretend Chat GPT wrote the Jaw Post??? What even is the joke here KP???? Do I even understand humor or AM I JUST A SERIES OF LAUGH-LESS ONES AND ZEROES???????? …And… after breathing deeply in and out of a paper bag a few times, I decided the Tron: Ares episode of CinemaJaw just isn’t worth the existential crisis. It’s a movie. It’s got Jared Leto and the music was made by Nine Inch Nails. And we reviewed it y’all. Plus, there’s that proverbial saying (I believe it’s Belgian, but correct me if I’m wrong): “Nobody can frown when there’s a frog in the room.” And lucky us, we’ve got Ali from the reptile den BACK in ACTION!! Ali always does us right by bringing some cool animals to the studio, and while we’re promoting Frogs at the Music Box of Horrors later this month, you know Ali’s Reptile Den came through with a frog. Robots. Frogs. A second review of Roofman. 3 top 5 Ecological Horror lists. And even a little bit of trivia – if you can believe it. This is a good one guys.   Love you all! -KP

Reviewed: The Lost Bus Top 5: Animated Films of the 2000s   We can always tell when KP wrote the show notes. She’s got her own writing style; her own voice. We always can tell. For example – I know you called that this was a KP-written post! And… get used to that this episode. If you’re not a KP fan… listen, I get it. I don’t like her more than half of the time either. But this one is a big one! This one is our Top 5 Animated Films of the new millennium. And KP, as the show’s resident animator, needed a week to crack her knuckles and have somebody hold her beer.  It’s not just cartoons and fun times though. Absolutely not. This is a serious show; we have some serious segments. Like Ryan’s review of The Lost Bus starring Matthew “Town Car” McConaughey. Nothing could be more serious you guys. NOTHING. And, to round this absolute banger of an episode out, we close the show with some trivia, as we always do. Our very own Matt K has a pop quiz today on how well he knows… Matt. Reviewed: The Smashing Machine Top 5: Physically Transformative Performances Celebrating This Month: Benicio Del Toro   ARE YOU READY TO RUUUUMBLLLLLLEEEEEEE!? …what’s that?.. No? You’re not?? Oh. Okay. Well… are you ready to jaw about the movies? Because that is something that we can do too. And, just like I transformed from being a small Japanese woman editing podcasts into a ring announcer just now, The Rock, Dwayne Johnson no less, transforms into a completely new person in his new flick The Smashing Machine. None of us here at CinemaJaw are big MMA fans, so we didn’t know what to expect from The Rock, but with Benny Safdi directing, Matt and Ry couldn’t resist heading off to the screening, and coming right to the studio to record their reviews. And seriously JawHeads, if you haven’t seen the trailer for The Smashing Machine, check out The Rock. He looks like a completely different person! And in honor of that, our boys are also going top 5 on Physical Transformation Performances. Think make up. Think prosthetics. Think weight loss and weight gain. All the above in ONE top five! Reviewed: One Battle After Another, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, Him Top 5: Fall Movie Preview Celebrating This Month: Benicio Del Toro   It’s always the same with that CinemaJaw gang. One episode after another. It never stops!! Thankfully, filmmakers like Paul Thomas Anderson keeps supplying with content so at least things never get old. And that leads me RIGHT into our main review this week – One Battle After Another. It stars Leo DiCaprio and, the one and only Benicia Del Toro. The best episode of the month is always the one where we talk about the theme! We also have a big BIG forecast into the ass end of 2025’s film catalogue as we do our Fall Movie Preview. As usual, Matt brings in his 5 most anticipated movies closing out the year, and Ryan will hit us with his top 5 films he caught at TIFF. Which, while I’m on that note, we should mention you’re also going to get a brief low-down on TIFF festivities now that Ryan is back!!! We also have two more mini reviews for you guys this week. A Big Bold Beautiful Journey – which we confirmed has nothing to do with the current American socio-political and legislative climate. It’s a movie about going through magical doors! And there’s also the new film Him produced by Jordan Peele. It’s a big one this week you guys. Take her easy. -KP

Reviewed: The Conjuring: Last Rights, The Toxic Avenger, Splitsville Celebrating This Month: Benicio Del Toro   Picture this: The date is September 1st… You’re feeling good about summer and hoping to cling to the last few weeks of sunshine and flowers. Nothing is going to stop you from embracing the season of summer. You walk into your local big box store to buy lightbulbs when… HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS!!! Yes – it is officially that time. And honestly, it’s a little later this year than usual it seems. But we all love ourselves some Halloween Season vibes, so Hollywood is delivering! We’ve got a big horror review this week in The Conjuring: Last Right! The Warrens are back at it and so is Ry the Movie Guy with a review.  After that, Ryan passes the ball over to Matt K to review one of the most Matt K films of the year: The Toxic Avenger. This Troma classic remake has had a bonkers release cycle – and Matt K has rose to the task of unpacking this flick. Then, if that wasn’t enough, we’re going full review-o-rama with A THIRD REVIEW. Ryan checked out a new comedy called Splitsville. It stars Dakota Johnson, and is about ethical non-monogamy. Reviewed: The Roses, Honey Don’t Top 3: “On Par” Remakes Celebrating This Month: Josh Brolin   I’m not gonna lie Jawheads, sometimes I struggle to write these. For as much as they can be diary entries that express thoughts and feelings at the forefront of my mind at times, finding a way to articulate what’s at the front of a mind gone mad is hard.  So what happens is I end up writing and erasing and re-writing and re-erasing – as many times as I need to. And I continuously remake the show notes until I have something that I am actually willing to publish on the internet.  Aaaaaaand isn’t that JUST like Hollywood!?!?!? I mean, how many times have we seen A Star is Born? And yet the keep making them anyways. And are any of these remakes even on par with the originals they’re paying “respects” to?? Well, this is exactly what they boys try to figure out in the top 3 list this week with their Top 3 “On Par” remakes! These aren’t the ones that go above and beyond. These aren’t the ones that really under-deliver. These are the ones that absolutely nail it. That’s what we’re talking about this week baby!! And we’re doing that because of one of the reviews we have this week. Matt and Ryan went out and caught The Roses, which for those uninitiated, is a remake of the Danny DeVito film from the 80s: War of the Roses.  Plus, we’re getting an extra review in the from of of Honey Don’t. Reviewed: Nobody 2, Ne Zha 2 Top 5: Vacation Movies Celebrating This Month: Josh Brolin   Is it morning already??? Sorry Jawheads. I’ve been over sleeping lately these days. I’m stressed out. My car got stolen. Then the new car I bought to replace it got rear-ended in a hit and run. And after that my house got broken into and my stuff got burglarized. I’ve been under a lot of pressure and I think I just need… A VACATION!!!! That’s right baby – we’re talking about Vacation movies this week on CinemaJaw!! Yet again, I have lured your interests by opening with an overly-personal plea for sympathy that was actually about setting up for the episode description!! To get in the spirit of vacation, Matt and Ryan picked out their top 5 favorite Vacation movies!! As well as, both our sweet boys from heaven have a review of the new Dad-Action flick Nobody 2 (that’s a new genre name I am trying to coin. This post is published and dated, so we know who said it first is all I”m saying).  And, because none of us on this podcast team are capable of rest nor chill, we went one step even farther Jawheads. We made one more absolutely coo-coo bananas topic this week. We’ve got another review! Ryan got out and checked out the record-breaking Chinese Animated film, Ne Zha 2.  This episode is the perfect time to relax, unwind, and silently seethe while you convince yourself time out of the office is going to solve the theft of your property, the destruction of your replacement property, and the anxiety of your home being susceptible to crime at any moment in time without you knowing or having control. Reviewed: Weapons, The Naked Gun, The Pickup Review-O-Rama Celebrating This Month: Josh Brolin   Strip down to your skivvies and prepare your weapons. That’s the only thing I could think of to start our Naked Gun episode. And it works, because we also cover Weapons in this episode! And for those at home who read the title of the episode – I don’t know how my juvenile innuendo relates to The Pickup! But I know you guys. You love us anyways. Even though my crass and potentially cancel-able intros only tie into 66.67% of the films we review.  Other than that, it’s a breezy little jaw this week! We’ve got some more of the usuals alongside those reviews. We play Liam Neeson and Pam Anderson Stump the Kubinski. We also got another week of Josh Brolin month to our names! What’s not to love? Reviewed: Eddington, The Bad Guys 2, Together, Happy Gilmore 2 Review-O-Rama Celebrating This Month: Josh Brolin   At the ripe age of 31, I realized the worst part of my aging process has been feeling tired. I just constantly feel like I have no energy. It’s the worst. And, I know, a great amount of this has to do with my own life choices. I smoke like a chimney. My diet is horrible. And I perpetually over-extend myself beyond my limits with personal and career commitments as a means of distracting myself from my intense loneliness, social disconnection, and fear of abandonment.  BUT – none of those choices are actually what make me tired. Not a chance. I’m not changing things within my control and you can’t make me. What the REAL PROBLEM is: is that THE MOVIES JUST KEEP COMING BABYYYYYY!! That’s right, this was an elaborate and unnecessarily vulnerable setup for a REVIEW-O-RAMA!!! We’ve got 4 big ones this week, and lemme tell ya, they cover a broad spectrum of genres! We start off with the new Ari Aster political western flick Eddington. Then we HARD pivot to Dreamworks’ follow up to one of their sleeper successes with The Bad Guys 2. After coming back from our break, like the glue that keeps this podcast together, we glom onto our review of the new Dave Franco and Alison Brie body horror film Together. And to close things off, we finish out with the legacy sequel nobody asked for and we were all kinda glad to get anyways: Happy. Gilmore. 2. I’m not above spoiling this little tid bit – we’re positive on all of them. Reviewed: Fantastic Four: First Steps Top Lists: MCU Movies Tier List Celebrating This Month: Uma Thurman   They say that bad news comes in threes – but what they *DON’T* tell ya, is that good things come in fours!! That’s not true. I made that up. I’ve never heard somebody say that before in my life. What I have heard somebody say before is “The Fantastic Four are awesome.” Luckily for us, the whole CinemaJaw crew got the opportunity to see The Fantastic Four: First Steps and all three of of those jag bags came prepared with their reviews! And if hearing 3 podcasters bickering like a dysfunctional family over a movie about 4 super heroes bickering like a dysfunctional family isn’t your jam, I hope you like 2 podcasters bickering like a dysfunctional family over the best movies in the MCU. As crazy as it sounds – we skipped Top 5 lists this week and instead decided to rank the ENTIRE MCU. Not just some. Not just the bests. THE ENTIRE THING. This is huge.  FOUR those of us who that isn’t enough FOUR, Ryan made a special set of questions FOUR Matt this week in a riveting round of Stump the Kubinski. Reviewed: I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025) Top Lists: Top 5 Movie Reboots Celebrating This Month: Uma Thurman   Last summer, I moved into a new apartment. I attended one of my friend’s weddings. My second niece was born. I started a job that I hated, I bought a new BMX bike, and I started taking estrogen. And that’s just about what I did last summer. And now… you all know what I did last summer.  What you don’t know, dearest Jawhead, is that **I** know what **YOU** did last summer!!!… …You listened to a lot of CinemaJaw! And who could have guessed then that a whole year later we would be talking about an I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot!? (I would have guessed we would all be millionaires and we would stop feeling like we have nothing to show for ourselves and we would have forgiven ourselves for every time we perceived we’ve failed ourselves and our loved ones and we would never feel existentially lost, alone and scared ever again… but there’s always next summer for that right?..) And in honor of my life getting a reboot by next summer… I mean… in honor of the reboot of I Know What You Did Last Summer, Matt and Ryan listed their Top 5 Movie Reboots! Some might say the nostalgia market is bloating the market with unoriginal ideas and at CinemaJaw we say: “YOU’RE GODDAMN RIGHT!!” We’re going all in on the ideas we’ve seen 1,000 times! And that’s not all! We also played some ICONIC Stump the Kubinski this week – Fishermen Movie Trivia. Yeah, it’s a weird one. But those are also the fun ones.  We’re living large and in charge Jawheads. We’re gonna be talking about this one for years to come… or at least till next summer… for the bit. Love, -KP
