Our take on the election from last month, then Tim ditches us, and Joni and Tracy have a discussion of environmental activism and the preservation of the oceans in the context of Salesforcelandia. We cover how ocean preservation intersects with existing and new initiatives, ocean protection, and growing up in our ecosystem as women in tech.

Tim, Joni, and Tracy talk about the massive changes each are undergoing, including departing Now It Matters and BrightStep Partners, and their ongoing commitment to the community and Cloud TnT. There’s a lot of love and appreciation in this recording, as well as talk about how doing the podcast together has changed each other. Tracy cries, Tim swears he isn’t, and Joni reminds everyone why we’re grateful for our world. Everyone gets #TheFeels, and we set the stage for a short summer break and return to recording together.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving uses Salesforce to help deliver its nationwide services, and Chris talks about his journey implementing, his organization’s work, creating buy-in, and how being a Salesforce administrator fits in to all of it.

Joni and Tracy take the helm while Tim is away for another foray into the world of higher education... Eventually. In the meantime, we talk about space, the upcoming Dreamforce band and speakers, and other topics and hijinks. We cover more about how Salesforce works for higher education institutions, the HEDA and Unity applications, integrations and instance proliferation, and change management in large-scale enterprises to help Salesforce move them forward. The episode in which The Woz touches all of Tracy’s special places.

Cloud TnT has its oddest start yet, and talks goings-on in the nonprofit world with a #BundleofFundle. The crew takes its first foray into higher education, talking about how Salesforce is being used by colleges and universities to break down data silos in these institutions. Kari educates us about the politics, needs, and innovation happening with Salesforce and HEDA, Unity, and other ways of using Salesforce for these schools. Tracy cries, Tim learns, and all three of them walk away from a conversation about hard topics with new levels of respect, joy, and awe for the world we inhabit. This was one of our all-time favorite discussions to-date, and we are profoundly grateful for being able to share it.

Cloud TnT is reminded that we’re still the colonies, that everything sounds better in a British accent, and theater and the arts are amazing forms of community service. Aptitude gets you a long way, and helps a person to understand how to unpick data, get over data silos, and use cool and amazing tools. But, it’s how you use it that matters.

Just in time for the March 2016 San Francisco Nonprofit Starter Pack Sprint, product manager and developer extraordinaire, Dave Habib talks about how to build a product and how his contributions to the Salesforce for nonprofits community, Volunteers for Salesforce and Auctions for Salesforce, were developed.
