Throwing back to the first day of summer 2016, Amanda and Sandra are blowing bubbles in a coffee liquor concoction and swapping stories of Magic, Las Vegas, and Broadway. Amanda went to the Magic Castle and was incredibly fooled in the middle of Hollywood! You’ll feel smarter after plenty of coffee talk about the new crops and some global coffee developments. Then top it off with the greatest segment, “Who’s your team?” where the gals discuss the abnormal trend of chugging cough syrup with your butt. They break it down and decide which celebrities would be on their butt-chugging teams. Welcome 2017 for Amanda and Sandra as they drink DEACF? Wait..what? 49th Parallel Colombia, La Serrania and delicious croissants to boot. Amanda had a crap date with an olympian, Sandra has an amazing planner and they get into making their New Year's resolutions...even though Sandra doesn't like them.

Over the summer Matthew De-La-Rosa went on a global travel mission for 90plus Coffee, but I called it gallivanting. Here is the exclusive scoop on the trip, with VVIP hostess and my Boss Babe friend Alisha Ochoa. She made a killer yea fancy gluten free vanilla cake. We run through Matt’s timeline of going through 2 states and 4 different countries in a week, making “the drop,” and learning how to roast this unique coffee from Magnus at Supreme Coffee Roasters in Norway. Sorry not Sorry to Magnus as we make predictions on what he looks like. Some will think this episode is a nerdy coffee episode, but is it?

With THREE locations down the enchanted St. Vincent Street in Los Angeles; longtime friends and co-owners of Caffe Luxxe, Mark Wain & Gary Chua, are all about the decade of decedent. Their coffee is roasted with the senses (not software), while macaroons and potions fill the shops. I spent time with both gentleman talking about how to have 10 years of success in a shop currently filled with exclusive, never been released, images of the Beetles and the Rolling Stones. Only the Grammy museum has the other part of their collection! Finally, we went over where to be fabulous in London and the importance of counterparts. Jeff Newton, professional photographer and creator of Americano Mondays .com must be one of the greatest people alive in the coffee scene, with some of the greatest iconic hair (have you seen Dragon Ball Z?) Enjoy the usual fun, how Jeff says the word “photography,” as well as the development of Americano Mondays and deep thought on the importance of being true to yourself with the opportunities life is giving you. Don’t ignore the signs and put in work! Wwweerrkkk.

Day drinking COFFEE BEER today while getting to know Mitch Wix, the head brewer of Culture Brewing and my old friend Zach Joseph, the marketing manager. Many jokes ensue while day drinking with the Nitro El Dorado Ipa infused with Lofty Coffee. Then cover Beer 101, Canning, sending your enemies poop in a box and immortalize childhood pranks and TP stories, all while I find out that EVERYONE AT THE BREWERY IS GOOD LOOKING! First time without Sandra, I (Amanda) meet up with the Bean Genius guys Krishna and Adam in LA to talk about their multi-roaster coffee subscription service and the algorithm they use to make sure you receive coffee you love. We talk about the SCAA National Coffee Conference, use Decaf as our safeword as coffee turns to liquor and Bean Genius reveals their new coffee sellings platform. Today we show some love for the affo-gato, that lovely ice cream and (kind of an) espresso combo that gives us the feels. So maybe the cute guy at the coffee shop didn't make the double espresso right, cause he was too bus winking, but when you pair it up with McConnell's Salted Caramel Ice Cream -it's all good. We also have a random chat about prom memories.

We are two very lucky ladies to be in the presence of the legend and epic storyteller Martin Deidrich. A man who gets to hang a SCAA LifeTime Achievement Award on the wall, amongst many other accomplishments. This afternoon took a lovely turn with our conversation being focused on the importance of human connecting. Let's call this episode "part 1" of many to come from Martin.

We went to Stumptown!! It was an epic day touring the facility, and talking with head roaster Ben Angelo, aka DJ Angelo. Who doesn't want to know about what it's like to be a Stumptown roaster? Along with the best super nintendo games ever...that's important too.

Drinking a natural processed Ethiopian coffee from Brandywine coffee roasted out of Delaware, we discuss being a #bossbabe and Chef Maeve compares her Food Network experience to Amanda's with Cupcake wars, and reveals her Drag alter ego's name.
