With the welcome return of JJ the basement geeks spend time pondering the meaning of ELO and all its implications. After that they discuss some Kickstarter projects that they’re excited about then Ben delves into a long rant about Wildstar and what a AAA MMO means (Which afterwards no one understands anyways). Then the Marvel cinematic universe is discussed including upcoming movies and the actors soon to join the Marvel family.

After another unplanned hiatus the basement geeks rejoin to much rejoicing and discuss everything they’d been holding off of for months. While bouncing back and forth between topics Carlos and Ben are able to keep the conversation from going completely off the rails.

The second chapter of “We live” finds Carlos, JJ, and Ben discussing a variety of games including Shadowrun Returns, Adventures of Van Helsing, Rift, and Wildstar. Then they switch gears briefly to discuss the Carrion Crown Adventure Path for Pathfinder, specifically the Haunting of Harrowstone (the first module of the series). After that they have a brief Kickstarter conversation before getting into the new generation of Console wars between the Xbox One and the PS4, and they put a lot of blame on video game publishers for pushing bad features on the consoles.  

Carlos, Ben, and new permanent co-host JJ try to make up for lost time. In this first part of a two part series the basement geeks discuss all the recent summer block buster movies, including Iron Man 3, Man of Steel, Stark Trek Into Darkness, Pacific Rim, The Lone Ranger, The Wolverine, and The Conjuring. Finally towards the end they discuss the Wildstar stress event and the Defiance video game tie in with the TV show.

Carlos and Ben celebrate their one year anniversary by recalling their epic weekend at ChimeraCon. After that they cover some interesting Kickstarter projects and discuss some recent movies before teasing the next episode regarding Bioshock Infinite.

Carlos and Ben give a shout out to their local gaming store before reviewing the Neverwinter beta and the upcoming MMOs from the PAX convention. Then they discuss the upcoming summer comic book movies and discuss Joss Whedon’s reaction to the Veronica Mars Kickstarter.

Carlos and Ben welcome back special guest J.J. and new guest host Holly. Together they discuss recent movie news, World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, Path of Exiles, Fiasco the board game, Civilization the board game, and the Game of Thrones board game.

After a small break Carlos and B.J. return for a Christmas review of gift ideas for the geek in your family. Along the way they talk Justice League speculation, the new Superman and Star Trek trailers, and engage in various other geeky topics.

Carlos and BJ try to do a Halloween themed podcast but get oddly sidetracked by the Lucas Films purchase by Disney and copyright laws as they try valiantly not to bore the audience to death.

Carlos and Ben are joined by Scott and JJ to discuss all things Guild Wars. They cover the game lore, structured pvp, world vs. world, dungeon runs, and they finish with a small economics lesson from Scott on the supply and demand dynamics of the MMO markets.

Carlos and BJ wax philosophical about the weather and wedding anniversaries before diving into recent geek news. BJ pleads for some help with a new campaign idea and is upset with Carlos for not making him aware of a very special Kickstarter campaign.

Carlos and B.J. take some time to catch up after taking another extended hiatus. All corners of the geek world are covered as the boys try desperately to discuss as much news as possible without being side tracked by rants and raves. Carlos succeeds in his normal graceful fashion while B.J. begs for a Mass Effect RPG, throws conspiracy theories out about the retiring of the Bioware founders, and gets a little creepy about Milla Jovovich.

After a long break Carlos and BJ return to wade through a huge collection of free to play video games, then they battle shoddy internet connections (apologies for the rough edit in the middle), and finish with a review of Asian horror movies.

Carlos, Ben, and special guest host Scott discuss Zombies in popular culture and their impact on movies, television, books, and video games. Ben and Scott then go off on the new modification for Arma II called Day Z and explain that despite its many (MANY) flaws that it’s one of the best Zombies games ever made. Also, Ben takes off for Australia on Wednesday, so there may not be another podcast for a few weeks (And this one was already delayed a few weeks, for which we’re sorry). We’ll see if Carlos can pull together a few special co-hosts to fill in for Ben. NOTE from Carlos: Batman Spoilers ^_^

For a topic so massive in scope, Carlos and BJ call in their backup expert JJ to help them analyze all things Star Wars related. All manner of Star wars geekdom is discussed, including the Movies, anime, books, video games, television, and role-playing games.

A review of the popularity of My Little Pony and the creation of Bronies (Ben then surrenders his mancard) followed by some Batman talk to cleanse the palate.

Carlos and Ben review the Dresden Files in novel, comic book, television, and RPG format. Then they talk about the variety of online tools available for running games via a virtual table top or play-by-post campaign.

For the first time Carlos and Ben have 3 guest hosts on the podcast to discuss board games and League of Legends. It may be a crowded room, but there’s a diverse experience where it comes to the hobby with this group (except for League of Legends, which is apparently the only MOBA game they all play).

Carlos and Ben discuss the Tupac hologram, the Avengers movie domination, tips and tricks for new game masters, and great anime suggestions.

Carlos and BJ cover the world of geek music and then spend some time discussing the recent news and changes coming from Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition.
