Coming To America

On this episode of Coming to America we met and talked to the Adobe Creative Residence and renaissance man Temi Coker. Through his work, which combines photography, design, and illustration, he hopes to inspire other young people to explore their creativity.

On this episode we talk to our good friend Kofi Amoo-Gotttfried, Who works in the very center of that world, as head of brand and consumer marketing for the social media behemoth Facebook. We talk about his start in the industry, how he led Facebooks intuitive to help connect the millions of people around the world who lacked Internet access to his own country, which also led him start a creative agency their as well.

In episode 2 of Coming To America, we spoke to African streetwear brand MIZIZI to discuss how they took a clothing brand and gave it purpose. The clothing line was started by Paakow Essandoh back in 2015, growing the brand to a presence that allows members of the diaspora to connect with their roots through dope athleisure wear, even if they hail from the kingdom of Wakanda.

On the first episode of Coming To America, we discuss the importance of navigating faith through your career as we enter the New Year. We sat down with one of our favorite people, Buku Ibraheem, as she breaks down how her faith inspired brand and how it has taken her to reach greater heights; not only in the industry, but in her personal life.
