Pastor Cary Gordon is the voice of the new documentary Enemies Within the Church, also produced by Judd Saul and Trevor Loudon. This is one of the most important Christian documentaries to ever be released, as it not only points out the dangers of the Marxist infiltration into the church, but exposes the false gospel they preach and just how deeply entrenched they are within Evangelicalism. During this episode of Conversations with Jeff, I had the opportunity to have an hour-long conversation with Pastor Gordon, who I first met when I spoke at the Stand Against Marxism Conference in Des Moines, IA. What I appreciate about Pastor Gordon is his faithfulness to the Word and the Gospel. It’s clear that he has a heart for the lost, which is why it’s so important to stop these false teachers that have crept into the church. Our conversation discussed a wide variety of topics, including political involvement of Christians, the Democrat Party’s platform, Donald Trump and Woke Christianity. The most important topic of conversation, however, got down to the heart of the Gospel by focusing on one of the primary topics of attack by the modern-day heretic: What is sin? You might hear so many woke posters who claim to preach the one true Gospel. And they do, in word only. The problem is that they redefine words… chiefly sin. By changing sin from it’s biblical definition to a woke “oppression” outlook, you lose the heart of the Gospel, which turns into a false gospel. This means that anyone who believes in this “gospel” with the redefinition of sin is a false convert and going to hell. This is a theological battle that we must win if we want to save America. Our only chance is through the faithful preaching of the Gospel. If we want to see a true awakening, we must get the Gospel right. The political divide in our country could not be further apart. On one hand, you have conservatives and the claimed Republican platform that stands for morality, personal responsibility and life. On the other hand, you have progressive and Democrat platform that stands for immorality, victimhood and is pro-abortion. For many, myself include, the question becomes: How can a Christian vote for a Democrat? Dr Michael Brown joins this episode of Conversations with Jeff to share his perspective on this extremely polarizing question. In the book Church & State: How the Left Used the Church to Conquer America, Dr Brown's chapter explained his understanding of why many Christians choose to vote Democrat time and time again. While he was a supporter of President Donald Trump, he understand the reasoning that many of his Democrat brothers and sisters in Christ had for voting for Joe Biden this last time around. Now, that does not mean that he agrees with them, by any means. What it comes down to is needing to have more conversations with people that we disagree with in order to reason with them using Scripture and Truth. I would make the argument that it is a sin to vote Democrat. When you look at their stated platform, it is completely anti-God and promotes the murdering of babies in the womb. I cannot understand any argument made to vote for that horrific slate of policies proposed by the Democrat Party. However, I've also been critical of many Christian pastors who claim that you cannot be a Christian if you vote Democrat. That is also unbiblical. Christians can and do sin all the time. Voting Democrat is a sin, from my perspective... a sin that needs to be repented from. So, while you could make the argument that Matthew 18 comes into play with a believer who voted for Joe Biden, voting Democrat is not a disqualifier from salvation, and it's vitally important to make that distinction. Dr Michael Brown, as always, approaches this topic to grace and love, which I always appreciate about him. As always, with many of my guests and people that I talk to, I do not agree with everything that he says. With that said, I appreciate his wisdom in this important topic as we try to wade these new waters here in America of how do we save our nation. If we are going to take it back from the Progressive, Globalist, Socialist, Communist and Marxists, we are first going to have to get in the head of those that think it is best to vote for these anti-God politicians. Once we understand their rationale, then we can reason with them and counter their arguments. I hope that this mentality is what you take away from this conversations with Dr Michael Brown. Many Conservatives feel betrayed by our own government after the 2020 Presidential Election. We turned out in droves, earning President Donald Trump more votes than any president has received in the history of American politics. However, as Believers in the one true God, our mission goes way beyond simple politics here in the United States of America. Yes, this is extremely disappointing, yet we cannot forget that our mission has not changed. Maybe a little of our focus or strategy changes, but our mission remains the same. They are making the accusation that we are placing Trump above Christ, making an idol out of our political ideology. Is this true? Is our support of President Trump idolatry? Hardly. You see, these same leaders that are trying to get Conservatives to disengage with politics are also actively pushing Leftist talking points. It's utter hypocrisy. Now we get to the big question... can America be saved? While many are focusing their attention on the political sphere first and foremost, as Christians we need to begin with repentance... repentance as a nation, as a community and as individuals. Patrick shared that he's concerned that an impending Civil War would actually probably go in favor of the evil globalists because of how much blood we have on our hands with abortion, as well as simply turning our back against God and His ways. If we want to save our nation, we are going to have to turn back to God's way. If we can do that, we now have a chance to save our nation. However, any attempt to do so without God's blessing will almost certainly fail. Why did our Founding Fathers win a virtually impossible war against England?
