In This Episode, You Will Learn: The power of thoughts Working out your mind The importance of journaling Power of the mind: Everything you see, hear, touch, smell, taste and feel is created by the mind. The world how we know it is just a construct of the collaborative human mind. Everything ever created was through the power of the mind. Your thoughts have created your reality (psychological and physiological). Thoughts become things: “You are today where your thoughts have brought you; you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you” – James Allen We have 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts every day. 95% of those are the same thoughts from day to day and 80% of those thoughts are negative! What we experience on a daily basis will influence our thoughts and therefore our reality. It is your job to stand guardian to your mind and choose empowering thoughts. Mind as a muscle: Like your physical body, your mental body needs training. If it is left untrained, it will continue to make poor unconscious decisions. However, if you plant seeds and care for it daily, it will flourish but if you neglect it, it will grow weeds and they will multiply. Train your mind: Treat your mind like your body Exercise it daily Record new data Reflect and evaluate it Begin with journaling & powerful questions Power of journaling: Purchase a journal Assign a time (Morning + Evening) 5/10/15/30/60 minutes (it doesn't matter) Sit, close your eyes, breath, and just write… Morning journaling routine: 3 things I am grateful for 3 goals for the day Personal, physical, emotional, spiritual, career, finances, relationship, etc. Then ask the focusing question: “If I achieved one thing today, that moved me closer to my goal and/or made other tasks irrelevant, what would that be?” Other questions: “If I were fearless, what would I do today?” Evening journaling routine: 3 things I am grateful for 3 wins I had today 3 challenges (areas for future focus) I had today Ask and answer my list empowering questions Like affirmations, but you are not telling, you are discovering. E.g. "Why do I have and maintain my dream body with ease?"
