Video Games • Ultra Street Fighter IV announced, new characters, stages and balances coming to the game. o $15 to upgrade the current version o $40 to buy the full game ? News • Facebook now supports hashtags. Video Games • Microsoft announces Xbox One and Sony announces PS4 o Xbox One: ? Will be priced at $499.99 ? Blu-Ray Drive ? Comes with a Kinect • Kinect will be required for system to work ? Will use cloud Storage ? 500GB internal storage (not removable) ? 8GB DDR3 RAM ? No Backwards Compatibility ? Xbox will continue to use it’s Xbox Live Gold service which is required to play online or use any of the apps such as Netflix, Internet Explorer or LastFM • Only one Xbox Live Gold account will be needed per console ? Uses USB 3.0 ? Console will need to be connected to an internet connection or need to be “checked in” at least once every 24 hours. • Microsoft has said the reason for this is for certain features (such as playing your games on any other Xbox One console or sharing them with up to 10 others) on the Xbox One. o Microsoft will no longer make this mandatory, Console’s will only need to be online the first time you set up the console but the ability play games from anywhere or share them with 10 other friends or family members will be lost. ? Games will have strict limitations on how they can be traded or given away. • You can give a game to a friend but they must be on your friends list for at least 30 days to give them a game in which licensing for that game ill transfer to them. o This is no longer in effect after Microsoft announced they will cut back on a lot of their DRM policies. o Playstation 4: ?
