Walking the Bridge Of Initiative
Episode in
CWiLL Inspire
You’re on a journey moving through a dense forest. It’s early morning and the fog begins to thicken as you move down a lightly worn path. You left the more traveled one a few months ago. The journey now has become almost ritualistic and common to you. Your party is led on this magical journey by whomever feels strongest in the moment and away you go. This has been a mystical journey and it is a very malleable reality you live in. It seems to respond to your thoughts and shift in time. No two moments are the same. The forest thins and the sun breaks through the mist. The trees give way to tall grasses and you hear the rush of water in the distance. Your team slows as you look around to get new bearings. You see the trees form a line that meets the grass and the grass fades into the fog. You can’t seem to place the water which must be a nearby river. As you push forward slowly through the grass you see it turn to rocks and a drop off to a steep cliff. The drop is well over twenty feet and your team now stands on the edge of the cliff. Looking over the raven you see a orchard with ripe fruits lined up row after row. Hunger amplifies your desire to get to the other side. Where you are now the fog has drifted to hide the orchard and you look to meet again with your team which has gathered about fifteen feet away and is looking down the river to the left where the cliff slowly lowers to eventually even ground to the river about three miles in the distance. You hear them considering this route. You look to the right and a tightly strung suspension bridge revels itself…
I think we all have great ideas. Things that would be exciting to try. An idea to move forward in a new way. I like to think of a new idea like a suspension bridge. Where you are now in time is one point and where you will be when finished with the idea is another point in time. The bridge is strong with the perfect tension to make it stable and easily crossable. The time to take the steps across the bridge is now. Because this bridge is one across time and may be as exciting as crossing a rope suspension bridge with its planks evenly spaced.
If you wait the distance begins to close and the bridge begins to sag a bit. It has a more pronounced curve now but it is still easily crossable but now is the time. But like most you may wait and analyze its safety. How will your friends and family react? What will your team or manager think of it? If you need their approval then the first step is obviously not telling them but actually working out the idea to be more presentable. In design thinking which is a great topic I will expand on later one goal is to get to a working prototype as fast as possible and get it out there to get some experience, and feedback from the real world so it can be refined as needed. Time is of the essence. We wait another day and the gap closes. As time passes the bridge which was a little scary to cross but obviously strung tightly and strong now gets to be very slack, droopy and thus swaying more in the wind and will be a challenging climb up to the other side.
Our inspired ideas can be like a strong suspension bridge which can lead to a great result on the other side. The steps across the bridge can be exciting and give us a whole new view to consider. We are embarking on a new journey that must be taken with confidence. There is no need to rush but procrastination leads to a droopy more challenging bridge.
What is on the other side of the bridge? It is your idea evolved and expressed. It is taking the journey step by step that keeps the path strong and obvious. Just keep on taking the next step and you will reach the other side and not only will you have new results but also a new more confident and creative you.

Are Cavemen Blocking Your Success?
Episode in
CWiLL Inspire
In a dark cave dimly lit by a fire flickering ominous shadows on the wall. You look at the wall with its rough surface covered with outlines of animals that the group has hunted successfully. They are like visual trophies and celebrations of working together to bring food. Today it was just berries and some nuts which you and your friend snack on by the fire before sleep. You tell your friend you have been watching the seeds and the berries. The seeds that fall to the ground begin to grow if you leave them during the cold time and when it is warm again they make new berry plants. You say that the group can make a place where there will be all the berries you want next warm season if we put them in the ground now.
He says you know that we leave the blessings of the berries to the favor of the good spirits. Why do you want to anger the spirits? He warns you that if you tell this to the group they will surely throw you out. Grunting in disappointment you recline in your fur, thinking how important the group is. It provides protection when dangerous animals are around and makes it easier to get meat from the ones we eat. Because of the security the cavewomen stay with the group too and we need to stay with them to grow the group strong and the special one makes my chest feel warm.
Did you know that these cavemen are still alive in that cave called your skull and are blocking your success with their primitive views. Fear is a great tool that kept us alive to evolve and dominate the earth but it is also blocking our success right now. Self-confidence is essential to success. Assertively moving forward with your inspiration and ideas with enthusiasm and initiative is what separates successful people from the mediocre. However being mediocre and not standing out is safe to the old caveman.
Napoleon Hill in The Laws of Success talks about the six basic fears that all humans are challenged with to some degree. These are the fear of poverty, old age, criticism, loss of love, ill health and death. He further explains that we have these fears from the two sources of physical and social heredity. The environment of nature has bread our survival instincts well to avoid death and all its apparent causes including sickness or ill health. As our brains developed and we became more social. Starting in the caves social heredity began to insert its fears and still haunts us today. We often fear being assertive and standing out from the group. There is an often irrational fear that we will lose our security, job and connection to social and family ties and be kicked out in the cold and die. Extensive psychological research shows that this primitive fear can still strongly dictate our behavior.
It is time to confront these ghost hanging in the shadows of our minds. When they challenge you let them know that you are part of a new tribe that encourages new ideas, novel experiences and pushing the boundaries of mediocrity. Being boring is for the Stone Age. Reason is a great tool in this regard. Here is how to apply reason to move forward and stand up for success.
When you’re at a party or meeting at work and an idea strikes you to join a conversation or move the team in a bold new direction and the old cavemen say no you’ll get thrown out the group into the cold, eaten by bears and die, reason with yourself a second. First unless you’re on a wilderness expedition with mean friends that’s definitely not going to happen. Ask yourself what is the worst that could happen. The answer is usually they may not use your idea or you come across a little awkward. So what it will be a laugh later if anything. Apply a bit of reason and calm the old cave man down then we are free to act confidently and plant new seeds of success.

Agree With Yourself
Episode in
CWiLL Inspire
Agree with yourself
Your feelings of discomfort, fear, anxiety, and just feeling off and uncertain is because you are being inundated with thoughts that do not agree with your true self.
Think about this, the mind and body are a complete system. This is easy to accept when you understand that your thoughts effect you body’s function and vice versa. This has been proven and it is a known fact in the medical field that most illnesses are psychosomatic in nature. This means they are caused or strongly affected by the pattern of thinking and the resulting emotions. When you feel strong fear you release adrenaline and other chemicals. The same if true for anxiety and joy. I know you have heard of endorphins the pleasure chemical the brain releases when happy or engaged in cardio activity. This has been often called the runners high.
To take this idea deeper consider what you are. You are a spiritual being having a physical experience. The emotions are a great way to understand this part of yourself. And this spiritual part of yourself is interconnected with the physical as well and the system works flawlessly, especially when you begin to understand it. When you think about who you are beyond the physical vehicle it is the true self that we begin to identify with. This self lets you know when you’re getting to caught up in appearances or letting your mind go down the wrong path with thoughts that are in opposition to this expression of yourself on the physical plane.
See both or subconscious, super-conscious and inner being have access to the understanding of what we truly are. In our conscious awareness we are often affronted with ideas that say we are weak, powerless and should be fearful. These thoughts and ideas are in conflict with our true self which is immensely powerful, wise, creative and in control. In this time of transition as various messages and the resulting thoughts rise recognize how they make you feel. When they drain your energy, because sinking in your stomach, anxiety and worry know that they are not in agreement with your inner self, with who you really are and your potential for self-expression in the world. The easiest solution is begin to affirm the opposite. Put yourself back in the seat of power and understand that if a temporary condition in the world or your life is reflecting the need for adjustment know that you have the will to make it so through positive intention and action. There is no need to worry of things you cannot change and take the helm and move to change the things you can.
Before you know it as you agree and bring yourself into alignment with the fact that you are connected and have access to immeasurable power, intelligence, and creativity the solutions, plans and actions to reflect your confidence and intentions will begin to unfold creating a transformation not only in your state of being but life and world also.

Sacred Bodies
Episode in
CWiLL Inspire
You are the embodiment of an expression of infinite intelligence grace and beauty.
Your body is the channel of the expression of divine light and life.
A child of creation
A child of god
Sacred according to Wikipedia:
Sacred means revered due to sanctity, is in general the state of being holy (perceived by religious individuals as associated with divinity) or sacred (considered worthy of spiritual respect or devotion; or inspiring awe or reverence among believers).
Jesus
Buddha
Muhammad
Martin Luther King Jr.
Gandhi
Mother Teresa
People who we recognize as allowing the power of creation of love of divinity to be expressed through them.
“Objects are often considered holy or sacred if used for spiritual purposes, such as the worship or service of gods.” -wikipedia
When you worship you create a channel of the higher realities into our own and through your alignment and praise shift this reality. The energy moves through you and transforms your mind, your being and thus your reality. We are like sounding boards for the light the live of beings beyond our mundane level and experience the transformative energy of creation in our being in our essence our connection to the resonance the parts of ourselves not usually access in our daily lives. This can be a common experience it can be repeated and amplified through practice. This is the differentiation of greatness the quality of allowing your body your mind to be a high bandwidth fiber optic cable or AOL dial up on Sunday morning or once or twice a year.
The mystics and profits express the fire, the passion the experience makes you the salt of the earth an anomaly in our cultures of sameness.
Many seek on Sunday to connect to divinity. To nurture a relationship with that which they believe is their source of life and all good things. In my studies and meditations I’ve realized that this relationship must be an internal one in order to bear these fruits. This connection with the intelligence and power of beings and states of consciousness we often identify as beyond us as greater. Often see ourselves of unworthy of them none the less abide within to our awareness and seek expressing through our life.
You are a sacred body.
Honor your temple including:
Physical: what you put into it. Increase its capacity and hardiness through physical exertion and heavy breathing and sweating that detoxes the body and allows it to more easily access and allow higher energy to flow through it.
Mental: Guard your mind and agreements with negativity in any form of expression regardless of the rational. Participate in thought, and discussion which stretches the limits of mental elevation.
Soul/ Spirit: Connect and express things that generate passion and connection to energy and upliftment beyond your common experience. Develop your own method of nurturing your connection and relationship with these elevated experiences and expressions of yourself.
Honor the sanctity in yourself by allowing the grace of the drive of creation to be fully expressed in you.

Elements of Life – Day 1 ‘Air’
Episode in
CWiLL Inspire
Welcome to the Elements of life.
This is the start of a seven week seven day series that is focused on the seven elements of life that are necessary to survive and thrive here as humans on our blue ball called earth. They are:
Air
Water
Food
Love and Encouragement
Freedom
Passion
Dream and Connect
So today it’s air, we all know we need air and it’s the most important of necessities. The flow of air from our environment through our lungs blood the exchange of oxygen for carbon dioxide in our brain and organs is a constant flow that never stops.
This life prana is akin to our constant connection to our source which continually sustains and maintains our existence.
Check this out.
Did you know that every subatomic particle of which you and everything in the physical universe is made is constantly blinking in and out of our “perceived” universe? Where does it go you ask? Well to the quantum field of infinite possibility then it returns. Where it will return to is dependent on us, the observers of reality.
This has been proven through the split test experiment when they found electrons behaving strangely and bi-location through time without any reasonable explanation except that they entered a field of probability and their reappearance in our reality was only dependent upon the expectation of the scientist.
This experiment has been repeated hundreds of time and has led to a revolution of quantum physics which is now beginning to bring a scientific awareness to many of the wisdom taught by mystics and prophets throughout the ages.
What does this have to do with air?
Well this continual in and out of the universe happens at a pace far beyond our current ability to perceive but it does happen. So it’s like the breath of life. It brings a recognition that there is a continual maintenance and order being maintained. What is this ultimate observer watching all of creation move through its cycles and allowing us to consciously direct our lives through our belief and expectation of the outcome. What is this infinite intelligence that is able to coordinate the billions of humans and trillions upon trillions of stars and galaxies to move in perfect harmony?
You are one existing in this grand creation and expressing in your breath and the continued order of your cells and the manifestation of your life the evidence of a constant support and honor of your beautify complexity within the all. Every atom and subatomic particle meticulous placed and flowing seamlessly with the grand orchestra of creation.
Recognize you are a child of creation
You are unique
And
You are worthy
Breath in the awareness that the breath of life is continually flowing through you and as you is participating in this wonderful dance.
You are always guided guarded and protected.
This is a favorite affirmation of mine and it was brought to me again to day after I way leaving the YMCA
All pumped us and fresh from a workout and swim.
In this fast little coupe I was stuck behind this old lady who was just going so slow.
There’s a stretch of open road that I usually open up on and I was itching to get there and let the compressor engine on the SLK roar. She was going so slow others were just passing us but I was stuck.
Anyway I finally got around her after like a minute or more.
When I finally got to the open road I quickly accelerated to 70 at least in a 50 mph zone. Then I saw blue lights….
The cops had just pulled over someone else.
I don’t know what was going on with them and I hope them the best but I was filled with gratitude that it wasn’t me. And that affirmation jumped in my head, like a voice saying ‘you are always guided, guarded and protected’
I know that this is my reality.
I’m a little spoiled because this is what I expect to happen though I am very grateful when it does.
It just brought to my awareness that I am always supported and guided to my highest good.
Does this belief effect the outcomes of my life?
I think so.
In gratitude I breathe the air.
The oxygen of life and recognize my interconnection and appreciate every moment on this road of life knowing that all is with me.
This an awareness of the ‘Air’
The breath of being which maintains us and all.
Bring the awareness into yourself with these affirmations. Repeat if this aligns with you.
I am a child of creation
I am unique
I am worthy
I am always guided, guarded and protected.
Repeat it, believe it, receive it and be it!

Science of Forgiveness
Episode in
CWiLL Inspire
First of all forgiveness is really about you feeling better. Not about the other person or people.
Second bringing yourself to forgive includes the understanding that everyone is really operating from their highest level of awareness and according to their own self-interest. Meaning they are doing what they think will make life better for them according to the best they know.
We’re all just seeking pleasure and avoiding pain in the most basic sense of all we do and yes many lack the awareness of how to do that effectively and without harming others. It’s really just ignorance which we all are to some degree
So I want you to be aware that you can increase your pleasure enjoyment of life by making the choice to feel better. That you are worthy. That no memory should control you. That you can grow and bloom through the concrete of resentment and absorb the joy from the strength of your desire to be in the light in the sun to allow the old leaves to blow away and plant new seeds of health hope and happiness.
Forgiveness Is a Choice, published by the American Psychological Association. The book outlines twenty “guideposts” or steps in the forgiveness process. The short version of that process is this:
First, the one who forgives examines the degree to which the injustice has affected her emotions, such as anger, hatred, resentment and so forth. Feeling rotten inside is a great motivator to change.
Second, if a person decides to change his inner world, affected by the other’s injustice, he then decides to practice forgiveness, understanding that he is offering merciful goodness and not condoning.
Next comes what the late Lewis Smedes called “seeing with new eyes,” as the forgiver sees that the injuring person is more than the offenses she has committed. The forgiver sees the unconditional worth of the other as a person, which can lead to empathy and compassion and eventually to the willingness to offer goodness to the other out of mercy. It is here that forgiveness takes root, opening up the possibility of restored emotional and relational health.
Carrying a grudge literally weighs you down. Researchers at Erasmus University asked people to write about a time when they either gave or withheld forgiveness. They then asked their human guinea pigs to jump as high as they could, five times, without bending their knees. Those who had been thinking about a time when they’d forgiven jumped highest, about 11.8 inches on average; those who had written about their grudges, on the other hand, jumped 8.5 inches—a huge difference, and a startling illustration of how forgiveness can actually unburden you.
I am grateful for the momentum of forgiveness. Of accepting that I need not create or hold any unnecessary pain and suffering. That the power from the higher energy of acceptance of others and the focus to maintain my course which is a path of joy and life will overcome all.

Science of Gratitude
“What if you woke up today with only the things you were thankful for yesterday?”
Gratitude improves physical health. Grateful people experience fewer aches and pains and they report feeling healthier than other people, according to a 2012 study published in Personality and Individual Differences
Gratitude improves self-esteem. A 2014 study published in the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology found that gratitude increased athlete’s self-esteem, which is an essential component to optimal performance.
The practice of gratitude increases the quality of life and your mental fortitude. Your ability to remain poised, confident and performing at your best, and not to mention much more fun to be around. And there’s plenty of science to back it up.
