Dustin, Nico, and Sam discuss the departure of Szabolcs Schön, the signing of Bernard Kamungo from NTSC, the progression of Alan Valesco, the team’s veteran leadership, and the impact of the recent key player signings!

FC Dallas beat league-leading Philadelphia Union 1-0 on Wednesday night, and Dustin spoke to fans and players after the match to get their thoughts. FC Dallas grabs all three points against Austin FC to win the inaugural edition of Copa Tejas.  Dustin, Jonathan, and Nico break down the match that topped off a great week for Jesus Ferrera, continued growth for Schon and a likely Toyota Stadium send off for Ricardo Pepi. Dustin, Jonathan, and Nico discuss the similarities between the two matches, some trends emerging with Jader Obrian, and answer the question “What’s up with Paxton lately?” Plus Nico gives an extended look at North Texas SC’s latest match and their playoff picture going into the final match of the season.

FC Dallas announced the immediate removal of Luchi Gonzalez as head coach on Sunday, with Marco Ferruzzi stepping in as the interim coach thru the remainder of the season. Your DSS crew talks about the final matches for Luchi and breakdown the comments from Dan Hunt and Andre Zanotta at the press conference on Monday. Dustin, Jonathan, and Nico get into what this means for the club, the impact to homegrowns, and answer the question on whether or not this was the right move for FC Dallas. Dustin also shares a story of when the club was potentially looking to replace Luchi earlier this season and whether this timing really makes sense at this point.

Nico returns to help Dustin and Jonathan break down the 1-1 draw with San Jose. Dustin, Nico and Jonathan talk about barely-missed opportunities, the return of captain Hedges, and the continued growth of the back line. They also discuss Luchi Gonzalez’ options for the upcoming matches with Paxton Pomykal potentially out, Justin Che returning, and Matt Hedges coming off 100 minutes.
