Finding Love without Marketing Yourself on Dating Apps with Jazelle Foster - Ep. 39
Episode in
Date in Peace
Today's episode is for anyone who cares way too much about other people’s opinions and perceptions.
I am really excited to introduce to you marketing expert Jazelle Foster. I invited her on the show to get her hot take on how identity plays into how we may subconsciously market ourselves to a prospective partner, whether that's on a dating app or just simply in our overall identity.
And I even more deeply wanted to explore how the identity that we show to the world shifts when we start to step into a more authentic sexuality.
Jazelle explains that attracting the person that we want truly hinges on our ability to allow our most authentic identity, our most authentic version of ourselves to shine through as brightly as possible. By the end of the episode, you'll learn not only why we stay in identities that aren't in alignment with our deepest desires, but how to say eff it to ALL of it! So that we can say, “Actually, I'm allowed and safe to step into who I am!” It’s recognizing that you don’t need to act out a role in order to be loved!

Healing Religious Trauma to Feel Worthy of Love with Taryn Raine - Ep.36
Episode in
Date in Peace
TRIGGER WARNING: Molestation, rape, and domestic abuse mentioned.
Today’s episode is for anyone who grew up in a strict religious home. Or maybe you just grew up as a woman in this effed-up society, because that’s traumatizing enough!
Basically, this episode is for you if any of the following beliefs have stopped you from claiming your highest love:
Women make men do bad things. We are naturally shameful for being sexual creatures.
The most honorable role for a woman to be a wife and mother. It’s selfish to make your other desires or needs a priorty.
Sex is for having children. Anything outside of that for pleasure is shameful.
Or the big one: I did something wrong, and it’s totally my fault.
When we grow up learning a very black and white system of beliefs as children, it’s impossible not to carry them through into our adult relationships. And even if, on some level, even if we have chosen to create new beliefs, we are plagued by a shame that even weekly confession can’t treat.
But what if the mindset work isn’t about the specific religious beliefs themselves? What if instead, the real flex is in changing the way you relate to your own shame?
Today self-belief and anxiety coach Taryn Raine explains the subtle ways religious trauma can impact you as an adult and the connections you make, along with what to do with this awareness. It turns out that being raised in a strict traditional religion, like evangelical in Taryn’s case, causes developmental issues thanks to some hefty built-in trauma.
Learn the steps that Taryn took to let self-love be stronger than her shame. 💪
By the end of this episode, you might begin to see that the entire idea of shame is utter bullsh*t. You are the only one who gets to determine your worthiness. We all belong in this universal dance of light, dark, chaos, and harmony. There is no such thing as judgement when you appreciate your beauty in all its expressions.

How & When to Talk About Sex While Dating with Whitni Miller - Ep. 34
Episode in
Date in Peace
It’s hard enough to put your sexual needs into words, let alone put them on the table for someone to reject or accept. But what if communicating your sexy desires has more to do with respect than anything else?
Today Pleasure Coach Whitni Miller explains how it’s not so much about finding somebody that’s a perfect sexually compatible match, but rather it’s about learning how you can both show up for each other to find the place where you meet in the middle AND have both of your core needs met.
Whitni gives us answers to some of the biggest sex and dating questions like:
Why is it so hard to talk about sex? Spoiler alert: it has to do with worthiness!
What things should we be talking about to a prospective sexual partner?
When is it the right time to bring up sex while dating?
By the end of this episode, you will naturally start speaking up more about your sexual needs sooner than later because you’ll understand why these conversations are so important! Clear sex communication gives both people information so they can consent to the type of relationship they choose to build together.

Dating Everyone and Everything with Jaymin Patel - Ep. 33
Episode in
Date in Peace
Today's episode is for anyone who grew up in a home where there were strict expectations about who you should date or marry. Perhaps you felt like you were judged or criticized if you loved someone or something that was “unapproved.” And maybe you learned to be just as judgey, constantly nitpicking potential partners and holding them to extremely high standards.
This can make the entire dating process feel suffocating. Like you're not free to actually follow your heart's desire. There's too much pressure to find your perfect match to keep everybody else happy!
But what if the answer isn't in somehow surviving all of this pressure to one day, hopefully, find this person that is the only one that everyone will approve of? What if instead, the peace that you're seeking is found in giving yourself permission? To love whoever and whatever you want.
Today, author, speaker, and coach Jaymin Patel explains several mindset shifts that have allowed him to embody what I'm calling Buddha dating. Jaymin doesn't just date his wife, Eri Kardos. He dates other men, women, his matcha lattes, and even the breeze! His love story is a lesson in stepping away from the fears that keep us disconnected, and instead bravely choosing to become Love, to become one with all the beauty that this life has to offer.

How to Stop Dimming Your Light to Step into Your Full Power with Eri Kardos - Ep.32
Episode in
Date in Peace
Today we will talk about why we have an unhelpful tendency to dim our light in relationships. Sometimes it can feel like we're just too much. So we try to tone ourselves down, thinking that if we are. Shining so brightly from our hearts, really living in our passion, and showing up fully joyful that it could discourage some people or push them away.
But what if this behavior of making ourselves small was actually stopping us from finding the authentic, deep connections that we really crave? What if the safest way for us to find love is to show up Shining bright af. Today my guest, speaker, author, and coach Eri Kardos is going to share with us.
Some insights on this very particular quote that I found on her website, “So much of the pain I see comes from people choosing to dim their light and withhold their love.” By the end of the episode, you’ll better understand the reasons why we tend to make ourselves small, and how to step into your full truth.

How to Know if You’ve Found ‘The One’ with Katie & Jaime Filer - Ep.31
Episode in
Date in Peace
Today’s episode is for anyone starting to lose hope in ‘the one.’ Maybe you feel like time is running out, and you’re tempted to just pick someone who is good enough and make it work. If all relationships take work, how do you know if you’re investing in the right person as opposed to settling with someone who isn’t meeting your deepest needs for a fulfilling love?
And what even is ‘the One’ anyway? It feels so undefinable, like an unrealistic fantasy leftover from all those Disney movies we grew up on.
But what if ‘the one’ wasn’t a singular human fated to ‘make you happy’? What if, instead, it’s about finding the one type of person who can meet your deepest needs for a fulfilling relationship?
Today mental & physical health coaches Katie and Jaime Filer help us understand how to get clear on our desires so we can resonate with ‘the one’ we’ve been waiting for. You’ll hear the heartwarming story about how Jaime went from being engaged in a hetero relationship to eventually meeting her current wife, Katie.
They explain what it looks and feels like when you’ve actually found your person. Plus, how to know if you’re settling. They each came with their own imperfections, including alcoholism, depression, and poor anger management. Yet, underneath it all, they were still a perfect match in terms of meeting each other's deeper needs. In other words, ‘the one’ might not look like the prince or princess you’re expecting. Turns out, to recognize them, you’ve got to get clear on what you’re looking for.
Theirs is a story we need to hear again and again. It’s a welcome reminder that our happily ever afters are ours to create through intentional awareness. By the end of this episode, your faith in 'the One' will be restored, and not because of empty optimism. When you take responsibility for the people who have access to you and live a life in alignment with your values, you’ll open up space for the one type of person you’ve been waiting for.

How to Survive the Honeymoon Phase with Guest Host Amanda Micallef - Ep. 27

Do you become a different version of yourself in the honeymoon phase of a relationship? I mean, aside from generally being happier and hornier. I’m talking about how you might deprioritize friends or hobbies. You might be daydreaming about the potential of your new partner so much that you start missing red flags in the present moment.
But when the feel-good phase of the honeymoon phase ends out of nowhere, the truth of who you picked to date feels like a slap in the face. It’s almost like you can’t trust your choices when they keep leading you down this same painful path.
Why is it so hard to choose people who are actually good for us? And why is it so easy to get wrapped up in the absolutely wrong people?!
Today I’m switching up the format a bit. I’m reposting a conversation I had with Coach Amanda Micallef on her "Empowered Women’s Podcast." We talk about how, instead of getting sucked into the dopamine high of the honeymoon phase, you can learn to stay grounded in what you actually deserve and need a compatible match.
The truth is, when you develop the skills to be able to effectively vet a match while enjoying the honeymoon phase, there won’t be any rude awakenings later. If you’re with a compatible partner, the end of honeymoon phase will simply signal the start of a deeper, secure phase of your relationship.
By the end of this episode, you will learn how to confidently navigate the honeymoon phase without wasting time, lowering your standards, or losing touch with who you are and what you deserve in a partner.

How to Go on Your First Queer Date with a Woman with Kate, Eliza & Kit - Ep.26
Episode in
Date in Peace
Are you a woman thinking about dating women? Maybe you’ve been swiping on both genders for a while, testing the waters, but haven’t been able to pull the trigger?
Making the leap to openly and actively engage in the Queer Dating World can feel super intimidating. I mean, coming out itself is a HUGE decision, and sometimes it can help to go out on dates first to confirm those curiosities radiating from your panties.
Girl, I’ve been there, and so have all three of my guests today. You’ll hear the raw, vulnerable stories of how they each navigated the transition out of straight dating and into living their most authentic love lives. By the end of this episode, you’ll feel less alone and inspired to honor your deepest desires.
First, you’ll learn how Gen Z Kate went from ‘meh’ with her long-term boyfriend to blissfully enjoying women. Then witness how a millennial human, Kit, navigated their gender journey alongside embracing their sexual needs. And finally, be emotionally invested as Gen X’er Eliza shares how she found the courage to divorce her husband and start a new queer life as a solo mom, all while serendipitously intertwining with her future wife over a slow ten-year build.
While I love my journey and I have no real regrets, I often wonder how different my life would have looked if I came out earlier. My heart is truly and deeply honored to be able to bring these three beautiful souls together so that you don’t waste another moment stuck in a life that isn’t lighting you up on all levels.

Dating as a Sensitive Empath with Rashad Malik Davis - Ep.25
Episode in
Date in Peace
Are you consistently dumbfounded by the insensitivity and immaturity of your exes? Maybe you tend to feel underappreciated, resentful, and taken advantage of. You feel like your needs are just too much.
You could be a sensitive empath! And as such, you have unique dating struggles.
A few other hallmarks of the empathic dater are a tendency to people-please, they have difficulty setting boundaries, and often making compassionate excuses for a partner’s repeated hurtful behavior. You likely find yourself attracting partners who are either emotionally unavailable, emotionally irresponsible, or just plain unpredictable.
I, too, am a sensitive empath, and trust me when I say there are effective tools and strategies for people like us. Imagine if you had the skills needed to protect your sensitive nature and feel safe with someone who deeply honors your emotional superpowers.
Today writer and illustrator Rashad Malik Davis shares his insanely relatable story of growing up as the sensitive child of a volatile father and how it shaped his relationships. He gets real vulnerable about his trauma, and I absolutely love him for it!
You’ll hear some great tips on avoiding emotionally unavailable partners, how to start putting your needs on the front burner, and when to know if your empathetic desire to help might actually be doing more harm than good.
By the end of this episode, you will feel deeply proud to be a sensitive soul and you’ll feel empowered to unapologetically shine that beautiful emotional energy into the hearts of the ones who see its value.

Episode in
Date in Peace
I bet there’s at least a small part of you that carries some shame around sex. Maybe you, like me, believed the mean girls growing up who labeled sexually bold women as sluts or whores.
You grew up hiding your most vibrant sexual self, pushing down any kinky or same-sex desires because you thought it would be 'bad' or 'wrong'.
But how much happier would you be if you felt completely free to experience your unique pleasure without judgement, and uncover a red-hot sex life?
Whether you grew up masturbating at an early age or are only recently stepping into your sexual stride, this episode will help you to fully embrace your most authentic sexual self.

Turns out we can use sex as a safe space to heal all areas of our lives. It’s not so much that you have to find the perfect partner to have great sex with, but rather it’s to focus on making sex great for you and, in turn, that will heal you and attract a great partner.
What you’ll hear:
💦 How to nourish your body & soul with sex.
🍑 How sex is uniquely suited to fulfill all five love languages.
👅 How solo pleasure can kick-start your sexual rebirth.
🍆 Using fuck yes energy to guide your body and soul for deeper love connections.

What is a Matchmaker and Do I Need One? with Kita Adams - Ep. 23
Episode in
Date in Peace
Let’s face it, dating can be a huge time suck. Imagine how much time and energy you’ve spent on matches that never panned out. Or maybe you’ve just hit a wall with dating and are feeling overwhelmed with how to move forward or what to do differently.
But what if you could continue your dating search with better results and have hours of your life back each week?
Today Queer Dating Coach and matchmaker Kita Adams shares almost a dozen ways that we can find more dating success with more ease by welcoming in the support of a matchmaker.
Learn all you ever wanted to know about how matchmaking works and how it can bring so much more peace into your dating life, like:
Free up time for you to live your best life by passing the grunt work of dating, like swiping, vetting, and planning, off to your matchmaker,
Dating is safer when you have a middleman (or woman) shielding your contact info until after a successful first date.
Escape the anxiety of having to say no to second dates. Your matchmaker will compassionately deliver your feedback instead.
Your matchmaker will ensure you maintain high standards, stay true to your values, and will gently push you outside of your comfort zone.
By the end of this episode you will see matchmaking through a completely new lens. It turns out matchmaking isn’t some quick fix where you are magically assigned your ‘perfect’ match. Rather, it’s about the skill and diligence of your matchmaker in unraveling who you are on a deep level in order to discover what you are really needing in a partner.
