D.C. #30: Hyperscoop Extension

Episode in Dead Channel
“Fresh” from the UK National Championship, Johno and Chris are back, answering the call of scoops! NISEI were kind enough to drop THREE fresh, warm-from-the-design-oven scoops on their plates and they’re here to dissect and discuss them. Then they chat about UK Nationals (congratulations to our “new” UK Champion, Mike Prosser!) as well as the various side events on show there, and nod a head towards the World Championships too! Precognition (0:01:55)Johno and Chris discuss the three new cards they have their hands on! The cards have a distinctly HB, efficiency theme to them, but there are also diversions to discuss quirky hats, what a “vaporframe” even is, and, of course, tempo. Bass CH1R1B0G4 (0:02:14) HB Asset: Bioroid Rez: 3 - Trash: 4 - Influence: 3 [click], [trash]: Gain [click] [click]. Vaporframe Fabricator (0:13:28) HB Asset Rez: 2 - Trash: 3 - Influence: 3 [click]: Install 1 card, ignoring all costs. Use this ability only once per turn. When the Runner trashes this asset, you may install 1 card, ignoring all costs. You cannot use this ability to install a card in this server. Tranquility Home Grid (0:20:43) HB Upgrade: Region Rez: 1 - Trash: 4 - Influence: 2 Remote server only. The first time each turn you install a card in this server, gain 2 [credits] or draw 1 card. Limit 1 region per server. Game Day (0:30:40)Johno and Chris discuss the UK National Championship weekend, discussing Chris and winner Mike’s lists, the Netrunner Puzzle Hunt (if you like puzzles, check it out), the President of Servers team event and the Classic (“Classique”) side event which took up all of Chris’ preparation time. Final standings on Always Be Running Mike and Chris’ Asa list Mike and Chris’ Liza list Netrunner Puzzle Hunt (as well as hints and solutions) President of Servers final standings Classic lists Twitch VODs Another, Smaller, Game Day (0:45:07)Johno and Chris briefly touch on Worlds a few months after it happened. D.C. #19: Precognition

Episode in Dead Channel
The 2017 World Championships are almost upon us! Johno and Chris briefly discuss the banned/restricted list after being struck by the podcasters curse, and having major news break immediately after a release. Then they move on to the difficult task of predicting what we'll see at Worlds! There are multiple categories that require their predictive talents, and they've even drafted in some community members to give their input too: Thanks to Ben "beyoken" Ni, Dave "cerberus" Hoyland, Laurie Poulter, Seamus Macleod, Dave "rotage" Saiya, Alice "shanodin" Rees, Catherine Underwood, Scott "spags" Pagliaroni and Alex "vinegarymink" White! Stay tuned as the categories get more ridiculous culminating with the Bold Prediction category! If you're interested in making your own predictions to compare after, the categories are: - Winning Corp identity - Winning Runner identity - A Top 4 player - Worst (non-mini) faction - Best mini faction and finishing position - More US or non-US players in the cut - Winning corp's deck sleeves colour - A 1-of in either of the winning decks - Number of beanies worn on stream during the cut - Bold prediction We finish with "Turntable", a very fun feature that may never return! Johno has found five songs that share song titles, artist names or even album names with Netrunner cards. Join Chris in an attempt to work out the cards being hinted at. It's Name That Tune... Netrunner style! We mentioned the Full Immersion podcast at the end of the episode, maybe a good choice for any long flights you have coming up! It's an actual-play RPG story set in the Android universe, and you can check it out here: http://neoreadinggrid.co.uk/fullimmersion/. D.C. #18: Rebirth

Episode in Dead Channel
Dead Channel returns! We'll be less strict with the "click" structure of episodes going forward, but hopefully we'll still be a good listen. Johno and new regular co-host Chris "nemamiah" Dyer are excited by the prospect of rotation and the revised core set, and discuss some of the ins and outs, and what we can expect from the brave new world. Editor's note: This episode was recorded before the announcement of the updated Most Wanted List and its bans and restrictions. We'll discuss these changes in our next episode so stay tuned! After the business is out of the way, it's time for a farcical game of Artist Colony, in which we guess cards based only on descriptions of the card art. This time, it's the Rotation Memorial Edition, featuring rotated cards. "This depicts a factory floor. There are a few people in orange jumpsuits working..." "It's a computer. It's green and has projected a cube over the top of it. There's a little map on it..." "This shows a man. He is in a grey suit, got some glasses on, sitting in a chair, drinking some coffee..." "It looks like some kind of flower, like a tulip. A bright white tulip, wrapped in green tendrils..." "This shows a typical city scene. A range of billboards. In the middle of it, a pylon with an array of satellite dishes..." "A desk. On the desk is some kind of device, projecting some HB-based data in pink..." "In cyberspace, there is a cloud of colours. Superimposed over those colours is what looks like a barcode..." "The purple-bluest area of cyberspace. Dashing out of the purple blueness are white lines zooming towards us..." "This is an old lady. She is kneeling on the floor." "This is weird. There are six phantasmic faces staring at us. Instead of eyes, goggles, pitch black. They're made of blue light..." "Back in cyberspace. There is a vertical pillar, pinky-purple. There's a swirling tornado wind effect..." "Pitch-black. There are blue lines, all vertical or horizontal at different distance and depths. One is wrapped in bright red veins." Thanks for listening! D.C. #17: Viper

Episode in Dead Channel
Johno is joined once again by special guest co-host and world champion Chris "nemamiah" Dyer! They start off by whipping through Station One, the second Red Sand data pack, picking out some of the more interesting cards. Then they chat about the fallout of the new Most Wanted List and the likely direction of the meta in a meta snapshot update. In click 3, they chat about the "Snek draft" that has been running in the UK community and has proven interesting to take part in and spectate. Finally, they finish off with a particularly dumb game.Click 1: Mandatory Draw: Station One - 00:02:18We're slightly more on Mars or something! Chris gives his thoughts on the new MWL, and gives a meta forecast (scattered showers of chaos, followed by a cold, glacier front moving in from purple/red)Friends in High PlacesCaprice NiseiP?lan? Chris takes us through how he made his decisions in each round, and how building a deck in this format is really interesting and enjoyable. The Draft Board (google spreadsheet)The Draft Board (as imgur album)Click 4: Exchange of Information - 01:12:13In a new game(!), Chris and Johno play a twist on Monikers/Time's Up etc, and attempt to guess HB cards using descriptive clues at first (shown below). Then they guess those same cards again with only one-word clues, and finally guess once more with only sounds effects allowed."An asset that makes money with man sexbots""A piece of ICE designed by Jeremy Zwirn""An agenda that lets you get cards from Archives""An agenda that's worth 0 points""An asset that gets counters when you rez things, and you can reveal agendas from your hand""A card that you use to give bioroids extra subroutines, makes them more murdery""A little boy who's an ICE""A layabout. Episode in Dead Channel
The NAPD have been hard at work, chasing down leads and putting the squeeze on informers, and they've identified the new threats we face on the net. That's right, a hot new multi-tiered Most Wanted List has landed, and Johno and Joey slam the Panic Button to bring you their immediate reaction. We spend all four clicks discussing the new influence "levels" and the ins and outs of the list itself, as well as some cards that could be conspicuous in their absence.Enhanced Enforcement Tactics (FFG Announcement Article)Maximum security 3-influence cards:Faust?ifrRumor MillDDoSBlackmailSensie Actors UnionNew inmates in the 1-influence block:Temüjin ContractBio-Ethics AssociationMumbad City HallOld-timers:ArchitectBreaking NewsSanSan City GridMumba TempleNAPD ContractD4v1dParasiteWyldsideYog.0Cerberus "Lady" H1Clone ChipReleased on parole:Eli 1.0DesperadoPrepaid VoicePadOn trial?MediumKnifed / Forked / SpoonedPaperclipAccount SiphonAaron MarrónFriends in High PlacesHard-Hitting NewsThanks for listening! D.C. #15: Quest Completed

Episode in Dead Channel
Adventure is on the cards in this episode! We strike out for our first taste of Mars with a Daedalus Complex Mandatory Draw, then we discuss training Johno's young padawans. In click 3, we explore Shaper events through the medium (hey that's a card!) of art alone. Finally, we go totally off-track and talk about the Legend of Zelda - particularly the latest instalment Breath of the Wild - in a Chatterjee University. It's dangerous to go alone! Take this (episode of Dead Channel).Click 1: Mandatory Draw: Daedalus Complex - 00:07:03We discuss the first pack in the Red Sand cycle!ExploitMad DashKakugoSynth DNA ModificationJemison AstronauticsOberth ProtocolKhondi PlazaClick 2: Levy University - 00:35:27Johno has started a new job and basically works for Globalsec now.
