This week, we posture ideas & theories on what the new America will be for minorities as a whole and especially black people. Why is “states rights” making a remarkable comback? Why are federal laws threatened to be enforced all around? Why was the statutes created for these very things to occur? These are your possible “new normals”.

The woman received a troubling 8 year prison sentence on the grounds of postpartum psychosis. In an unrelated story, Tina Campbell from the gospel duo, “Mary Mary” continually quotes, “ I wanted to die, kill my children, kill my husband and kill everybody” in response to her husband’s infidelity. Should spousal infidelity really be considered as a “trigger” to such an act? We discuss depression and the humanity and inhumanity of injecting the diagnosis as a defense for the reprehensible action of killing children as well as the reprehensible quote.

This week, we remember the simple & precise lyrics of the TLC hit, “No Scrubs”. We remember the impact of the song in it’s time and wonder why those rules sometimes no longer apply when women look for a male mate.

We discuss the free market as it pertains to how men spent their dollar in this particular observation.  We debate the Ebony Magazine “Body Brigade” issue & the womans’ fight for the “normal” female body to become the fantasy.

A successful black woman married herself at the African American Heritage Museum in Houston, Texas last year. Marrying yourself, though ceremonial, is both awesome and unfortunate. This got us to talking about the timing tricks that nature can play while hindering successful black people from meeting and marrying. We discuss “peacock-ing” ( the act of dramatically showing attributes in order to find a mate) and how we might be the only species that both “peacock” at different stages of our lives.
