Episode in
Discover What's Possible with Coryn Quester
This episode features Micala Quinn who is empowering moms to find freedom, flexibility, and financial stability. In this episode, Micala shares how her teaching career was no longer aligning with her desire to be home with her infant, and how she found a way to triple her income by working only 15 hours a week. Now she helps other moms find the same thing! We talk about how no matter what talents and skills you have, it can translate into a business to help others, how to proactively communicate with a spouse to get them on board with this change, and how Micala is now seeing the positive results of the example she is setting for her daughter and how it’s making her fearless and confident!! I strive to do the same for my little girl as well, so that really hit home for me. If Micala can triple her income by working less, and all of the other moms she helps can do it too, so can YOU! IT IS POSSIBLE!

Sometimes your calling comes to you at a young age, and sometimes it gets revealed to you later in life. Everyone is different. In this week's episode, Amber Veatch of Amber Veatch Designs shares how she went from working at a bank to becoming a thriving, full time creative entrepreneur. This episode is chock full of awesome advice such as how to recognize your gifts and talents, how to not compare yourself to other business owners, how to realize when you need to walk away from something that is no longer serving you, how to celebrate your accomplishments, and how to overcome some of the the challenges you can face as a new entrepreneur... just to name a few... #26 | Lindsay Hernandez: Turn your purpose into practice
Episode in
Discover What's Possible with Coryn Quester
When you are faced with darkness, the choice is your's to stay in the dim or to be the light. In an emotional episode of the Discover What’s Possible podcast, Lindsay Hernandez shares her touching story of how through the loss of a child, she and her husband, turned their pain into their purpose by creating the Christian Michael Hernandez Foundation (in memory of their son) bringing the light and kindness to so many in need. In this episode, Lindsay shares every heart-wrenching detail of the day she lost her baby boy, and how with unwavering faith, she is able to continue to mother her son through the foundation's purposeful acts of kindness. She also gives invaluable advice on how to move forward with life after experiencing loss, on putting your purpose into practice, and on making the hopes you are chasing bigger than the fear that's following you. As a disclaimer, be sure to grab a box of tissues before you listen to this episode, and full disclosure, I breakdown a few times in it, but hey, that's real. My hope with this episode is that you not only feel inspired to bring your purpose to life, but also to spread the kindness and the word about the Christian Michael Hernandez Foundation. #25 | Andrea Layne: Honor the space between no longer and not yet
Episode in
Discover What's Possible with Coryn Quester
Andrea Layne is genuinely an entrepreneurial inspiration. Not only did she transform her life from working long hours in a corporate IT job to opening her own floral design business, but she also completely reinvented her life for a second time by launching a whole new separate business called The Creative Spring, an Online Business Management company. In this episode, we talk about how it’s okay to change things up in your business later (so just start already!), how you should pay attention if people are consistently asking for your advice on a particular topic (could be a business there), and the importance of setting boundaries and finding harmony in all areas of your life. Andrea caps off this episode with this encouraging quote by Nancy Levin, “Honor the space between no longer and not yet.” And nothing could be more true for an emerging entrepreneur. Transformation and achieving your goals takes time, so take faith in that you are right where you should be no matter where you are in your business journey.

Episode in
Discover What's Possible with Coryn Quester
My first Discover What’s Possible podcast guest of 2019, Alexa Kritis, shares how she went from working for someone else to now having TWO thriving wedding businesses. Her nurturing nature has proven successful for her as the clients are rolling in for both her wedding planning business- Long Aisle Events, and her wedding freelance business- AK Freelance. She gives so many helpful entrepreneurial tips in this episode that I lost count... from not under charging for your services, to investing in yourself and continuing your education to grow into the business owner you want to be. Alexa also shares how almost two years ago to the day that she drafted goals on Facebook pictured here, and how she has now obtained ALL of them only after a short two years. I encourage you to right down your business/career goals and what your life will be like once you achieve them, tape them somewhere you will see them everyday, and after a year or two, see how many of those goals you have achieved! Writing them down will put the universe in motion to present opportunities to you for them, but it’s up to you to do the work to attain them. Alexa’s story on how she made her dreams a reality is sure to inspire you to start a business... or even TWO!

Is your job merely "good enough" or just "fine" when someone asks you how it's going? In my next episode of the Discover What's Possible podcast featuring husband and wife duo, Adam and Erin Erickson of Vampt Co., we discuss that finding your job as being just "good enough" is really dressing up the word "settling.” Adam and Erin both describe their individual journeys on how they knew deep down that being entrepreneurs was the right path for them through various work experiences and signs along the way. They also provide super helpful and practical advice for those of you out there who are looking to take the leap as well. Advice such as, there are ways to obtain health insurance without breaking the bank, and as you are naming your business, always look it up in Urban Dictionary just in case! Haha... This couple is so endearing and truly want to help other aspiring entrepreneurs in any way they can.

#22 | Tina Cardoso: How would you paint the sun?
Episode in
Discover What's Possible with Coryn Quester
How would you paint the sun? Would it be a big yellow circle? Would it be a bright orange ball? Would it be pink with purple polka dots? My next guest of the Discover What's Possible podcast, Tina Cardoso of Howie Mac Photo lives by and runs her business by this question as it highlights that everyone has a unique perspective and sees things differently than others, especially through photographs. It was such a special time to speak with Tina as she was literally handed the keys to her brand new Howie Mac Photography Studio THIS WEEK! In her new studio, Tina has creative and heartfelt plans to bring the community together, whether it be for a photography workshop or offering a free portrait to capture the day you bring home an adopted child. Tina's photography business has been something she has been working towards on and off for many years. No matter what job she took, something always pulled her back to photography, and now her dream is a reality! I encourage you to do your own reflection of what keeps pulling you? Pay attention to that in your intuition. How can you get closer to that? And know that you don’t need to wait years for this dream. As a coach, I help my clients get closer to it in only months! Listen in to this episode to hear how to overcome self doubt, challenges, and societal expectations as you start that business that's pulling you!
