Aloha Ke Akua - God is Love

I go back and forth every single day, the clarity it comes to me in a choppy way, as the feelings and the places and the seasons change, And what is our purpose? Would you believe it, if you knew what you were for and how you became so informed? The more I understand about the human race, the less I comprehend about our purpose and place and maybe if there was a clearer line the curiosity would satisfy. my stubbornness is bottomless, my fearlessness is talking shit and I’m wide awake and I’m taking names. Do you speak to me like you speak to God? All of the love and understanding between the father and the son? Do you believe in the perfectness of where you are? These are my people, these are my children, this is the land that I would fight for. My solidarity is telling me to patiently be moving the musical medicine around the planet in a hurry, Cuz there’s no time to waste. Got to wake up the people time to stand up and say, we know what we are for and how we became so informed. Bodies of info, performing such miracles. I am a miracle, made up of particles and in this existence, I’ll stay persistent and I’ll make a difference and I will have lived it. …….. (jist of lyrics) thank you NAHKO for your beautiful... Alan Cohen on Divine Discontent

Is your life an authentic expression of who you really are? If you lived truer to your joy and passion, what would you be doing differently? Do you recognize the perfect self you are, no matter what your mind or appearances tell you? If you feel there must be more, there is more. Your sense of boredom, contraction, or resentment is your soul's way of letting you know that you are settling for less. While we fear that we may get hurt if we go for our dreams, we hurt ourselves much more by putting up with painful, dysfunctional, or unfulfilling situations. When your discomfort with the status quo out-weighs your fear of making a change, you will move ahead and be grateful for the motion bestowed by divine discontent.  visit www.alancohen.com Knowing that "this can't be it" implies that you do know what is it. You may not be able to verbalize what it is, but somewhere inside you, your knowingness lives. Now that you recognize what you don't want, what do you want? A woman who was going through a major life upheaval told me, "All I know for sure is that I want to walk in the woods each morning." "Great!" I told her. "That's all you need to know for now; just walk in the morning, and you will be led to your next realization." The moment you shift your attention from what you don't want to what you do want, you set into motion a series of dynamics that will lead you to fulfillment. Positive thinking does not mean making believe something is serving you when it isn't. Positive thinking means finding the good in all experiences, including the ones that guide you away from repeating them. If you feel there must be more, there is more.

The L Word with Marianne Williamson

Childhood often establishes how one behaves in a relationship, and because we have all been hurt, by someone in some point in our lives, how can we forgive that and move past it? Williamson urges her readers to leave their past behind and to trust that there is somebody that is right for everyone, someone who will be exactly what that “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”   ----from A Return to Love, by Marianne Williamson. If you like the paragraph, you’ll love the book...!

Like A Drum Baby Don't Stop Beating

When life leaves you high and dry I'll be at your door tonight if you need help, if you need help I'll shut down the city lights, I'll lie, cheat, I'll beg and bribe to make you well, to make you well When enemies are at your door I'll carry you way from more If you need help, if you need help Your hope dangling by a string I'll share in your suffering to make you well, to make you well Give me reasons to believe that you would do the same for me And I would do it for you, for you Baby I'm not moving on I love you long after you're gone For you, for you You would never sleep alone I love you long after you're gone And long after you're gone gone gone When you fall like a statue I'm gon' be there to catch you Put you on your feet, you on your feet And if your heart is empty Not a thing will prevent me Tell me what you need, what do you need I surrender honestly You've always done the same for me And I would do it for you, for you Baby I'm not moving on I love you long after you're gone For you, for you You would never sleep alone I love you long after you're gone And long after you're gone gone gone You're my back bone, you're me cornerstone You're my crutch when my legs stop moving You're my headstart, you're my rugged heart You're the pokes that I've always needed   Like a drum baby don't stop beating Like a drum baby don't stop beating Like a drum baby don't stop beating Like a drum my heart never stops beating

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros - IF I WERE FREE

If I were free I would run into battles with flowers and hugs And bow at the boots of our well-oiled thugs Yes, if I were free If it were me I would yell out "I love you!" to all I passed I would disrobe and disco and rip off my mask Yes, if I were free I'd be the 'U' that crossed the 'i' to simply 'b' Minding our reflections at the bottom of the sea What did you see? I saw that you and I forever have been free The light became too heavy and I fell into a dream What did you dream? I dreamed a wind that would sweep Every castle made of sand Out across the old far holy land Oh, if this were free If this were free We'd be free of the terror of the graves And fear masquerading as the brave Oh, if this were free I woke upon a pig of red, white and blue The circus got too heavy so we fell into the zoo What did you feel? I felt the fear that every queer does in his head First thing to starting over, I made sure I was dead What did you dream? Swimming with ancients, laughing, tired of getting lost We took our left, remember, when we leaned upon the cross What did you see? I saw that you and I forever have been free The light became too heavy and we fell into a dream AMEN MAN
