Retro Vibes 2.0 is a journey back to where it all began...back to the days when I first stepped behind the decks at Café ’t Vervolg, right in the heart of Antwerp (Melkmarkt). It started on Tuesdays during “Happy Hour”, discovering what it meant to read a crowd, and soon grew into a long lasting “Friday Night Residency” that shaped my love for music and mixing.
Putting this mix together felt like opening those old record crates again — digging deep and bringing long-forgotten tracks back to life. Each record carries a memory, a moment, a vibe from a time when everything felt new, pure, and exciting.
Retro Vibes 2.0 is not just a mix; it’s a tribute to those early nights in the 00’s, the atmosphere of the café, and the music that started it all. A nostalgic dive into the past, refreshed for today.
A big shoutout to everyone who was there back then — the regulars, the friends, and all the familiar faces that filled the place week after week. You were a huge part of those nights and the energy you brought made them unforgettable.

Kiko Amat (1971) y Benja Villegas (1982), también conocidos como Pop y Muerte, se conocieron en la radio hace cinco años, y no han dejado de parlotear desde aquel día. Podcasters-que-no-han-escuchado-podcasts, a estos dos hijos de la periferia barcelonesa les une el amor por la cultura popular, la nerdidad no-cursi y la erudición outsider. En Pop y Muerte aplican su innato amor por la oralidad (dicho de otro modo: decir paridas en público) y un notable discurso pop, derivado de sortear una educación formal y sustituirla por discos, cómics, films y libros flipantes.Más a contrapelo que JK Huysmans en un día farruco, Pop y Muerte regresan con el tercer año triunfal de un podcast que no tiene aliados, parientes ni antecedentes.
