019: Start Before You Quit with Fernanda Saad

When I decided I wanted to change careers and become a coach, I stayed in my restaurant job for a whole year to “get ready”.  I saved money for my trip to Europe and my Coaching Certification. I was also reading a lot of books and listening to a lot of videos and podcasts so I'd absorb as much information as possible. A year later, when I came back from Europe I had three precious things in my luggage: 1) an amazing Coaching certification; 2) lots of inspiration; and 3) a big question: So... how do I get clients now? Even though I thought I was getting ready, it was only when I quit my job that I realised how unprepared I was. As I believe things ALWAYS work out for the best, I’m in peace with it. But I want to let you know what’s ahead of you so you can get ready, for REAL. Being in a job, even if we don’t like it, can be a perfect opportunity to get ready and have a soft landing in the next stage. I’ve recorded this podcast episode just for you, so you know exactly what I’d do if I went back to that year of preparation. Four things that I know now, but had no idea before. Make sure you listen to it so you don’t have to go through the same frustration and disappointment I did. And if you want to say hello, just shoot an email to connect@fernandasaad.com - we’re on this together! With love, always Fernanda

An opened, real and raw conversations about the real deal of running a visionary business. Who is she? Elle Roberts is creativity coach and business mentor. She is quirky, silly and tries hard not to take life too seriously but she is serious about her love of small business. She believes the freedom, the flexibility and the empowerment that earning money on your own terms gives you is something worth fighting for. Elle is the curator of the The Artful Business Community which is a thriving network of creative entrepreneurs, makers, coaches, writers, speakers, designers, healers, wellness entrepreneurs and artists. She feels honoured to help other women figure out the business stuff so they can thrive doing work that fills their soul and inspires them and the people around them. http://artfulbusinesscommunity.com/ http://www.elleroberts.me/ Book recommendation: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (Learn how to get your free audio version here) The $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau Quote: “My father didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it”? Our guest is Jacqui Anderson, spiritual mentor and yoga teacher. We'll talk about: the unfold of her journey from social worker to yoga teacher the difference between personal development and spiritual development how relationships can help us grow alternatives for still meditation the gift behind our darkest moments how to understand your body and use it as a tool for your spiritual development how to let go of attachment and much more! Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." ~ Marianne Williamson

And mainly, would it work for you?   This is exactly what was crossing Rosie Paterson’s mind few years ago. 011: The Power of Holding a Vision For The World with Nisha Moodley

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the vision you have for the world? Like it's too much for you? I gotta confess that there were too many times in my life when my desire to help and change the world were actually too heavy on me. It was overwhelming to have a vision of a better world and yet feel small and powerless to do it on my own. At those times, I’d end up feeling defeated and hopeless which would take me totally out of the game. This week’s guest brought such a beautiful light to my own transformation. Here’s what she said about the vision each one of us have for the world: “I think of it as a divine responsibility... not to put the weight of the world on my shoulders but to put the support of the world beneath me, using the support of the world to propel me forward… This is an opportunity to create the world that i want.” ===========================================On this interview we talk to Nisha Moodley. Nisha is Women’s Leadership Coach and she has a beautiful perspective around the importance of our own unique vision for the world, the power of community (especially sisterhood) and the reclamation of the feminine energy around the world. Together, we explored.... … the role of the feminine energy on all of us … why sisterhood groups are so powerful … the ripple effect that doing what we love has on other people … how important it is to honour your vision and not be attached to it … our divine responsibility in creating the world we envision … how to allow flow into our lives through the power of surrendering and much more! Hope you'll love our conversation as much as I did!   On this episode of the Do What You Love Revolution Podcast I talk to the Coach Izzy Arkin.   But don’t fool yourself thinking he’s just an average coach... he’s actually a ninja too.   Whaaat?   Yep! Had everything checked off: career, car, money... you name it.   Except, he had never felt so unfulfilled.   So Izzy got into a life transformation and asked himself “What do I want to do with my life?”.   From that moment, Izzy started his journey from middle school teacher to ninja.   He shares with us today how his Ninja trajectory unfolded and how he uses fear, rejection and failure as his most valuable guides.   We also talked about: the best way to go when you have way too many ideas making your life’s purpose all about finding your purpose the 2 key ingredients to a fulfilled life what’s behind being a ninja and how that relates to Coaching And much more!

007: How to Set Powerful Goals for the New Year with Lydia Lee

Let’s be straight here… We both know that most new year’s resolution lists usually don’t go much further than January. Even though we really want those resolutions to become reality somehow they get lost on the way and we end up frustrated and disappointed - mostly with ourselves. To avoid that I brought business coach Lydia Lee to the show so she could share with us powerful ways to set up goals. We did end up talking about many other topics about living your purpose, the power of the new generation and much more... Here’s what we covered: - how to create powerful goals in 2016 - why NOW is the best time to go after a life you love - how the new economy is shaping itself - the new word of the day when creating an online business - why understanding yourself is the beginning of any successful journey - the importance of getting help from the right people Lydia is the freedom lifestyle and business coach at Screw The Cubicle, web TV host at Screw The Cubicle TV, and podcast host of The Cubicle Crashing Podcast.   After leaving her six figure job in Canada years ago in pursuit of a path less conventional, this had led her to now be an advocate for location independency, and meaningful work with purpose. Now based in Bali,  Lydia helps corporate escapees (or soon to be) create businesses they’re designed to do by combining their best skills and passions, so that they can live and work on their own terms.
