Holiday Stress
Episode in
Dr. Peg Online
December 21, 2012 – ‘Tis the season to be…lonely, sad, depressed, broke, stressed, anxious, frazzled, disappointed? Christmas is right around the corner and it’s a joyous time to celebrate the birth of Christ, spend time with friends and family, and exchange gifts, but not everyone is looking forward to Christmas. For many, the holidays are a stressful, difficult time. Some people are alone on Christmas and there are those who are overwhelmed by the pressure to spend money they don’t have.
Today also marks one week since the tragic deaths of 20 school children and 6 adults in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. For the survivors, family members of those killed, and for so many of us, this Christmas is a sad reminder of our loved ones who have passed away and are no longer here.
If you’re feeling stressed out by the holidays, tune in and learn how to beat the holiday blues. My guest is Apostle Phillip Smith, Jr., senior pastor of Colorado Christian Fellowship.

November 2, 2012 – The suspect arrested for killing the Coloradan, Jessica Ridgeway was studying mortuary science at Arapahoe Community College. Mr. Ballard will dispel those stereotypes and myths and provide you with valuable information to help you through one of the most difficult (and unavoidable) tasks in life: planning the funeral of a loved one.
What are your thoughts and feelings about death? Have you recently lost a loved one? What are your experiences with funerals? Email your questions in advance to peggy@drpegonline.com or post a comment below and we’ll discuss it on Friday’s show.
