Delfim is an entrepreneur from Lisbon, Portugal who had the desire to push the envelope and become an entrepreneur. Do you find eating healthy is hard while you are traveling? It may not be convenient or easy but it is possible to eat healthy while traveling. It will keep you from getting sick. No one wants to be feeling like rubbish in a hotel room while in a beautiful place. Preparation is the key to staying healthy while traveling.   Trevor and I have done many road trips. The summer of 2015 before we got married we went on a 2-week road trip from Seattle to Los Angeles. We shopped at grocery stores. We bought easily consumable fruits that wouldn't perish quickly like apples and bananas. We loaded up on cans of no sodium beans and corn. We bought whole grain bread, avocados, lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers for sandwiches.  We created a system of organization in our backseat. It became our pantry and fridge. We brought along our one burner stove and made most of our breakfast, lunch, and dinners this way. The whole backseat area became our stockpile of food and utensils. Every day we traveled we became better at unpacking and packing. Every few days we had to reorganize and check for what supplies we needed to restock.  It is possible to stay healthy while traveling. It just requires you to get creative. It also requires more preparation and clean up after meals. This is honestly the best way to do it though because you can't rely on finding healthy meals on the road. Most of the roads don't have anything really not even fast food. So you are forced to make your own. Then when you do find a place it a lot of the times is expensive and unhealthy.  Here are our tips for staying healthy while road tripping and traveling.

We sat down with Matt our friend here in Chiang Mai, Thailand to talk about his FBA business. He tells us his story of how he built his first business a B2B shipping company with his then partner. He grew it all while working his 9 to 5 job. His business ended up growing so much that it exceeded his job. He struggled with leaving that job and putting his faith in his own abilities to succeed. This prior business gave him a little bit of an advantage with him but, he said he still had to learn a lot about the FBA private label model. He eventually made his way to China to teach. This is where he learned about the FBA model. Even though he no intentions of starting a new business. He became so intrigued that he decided it was worth taking a look at. As an entrepreneur, he decided to take the leap of faith and try out this new business model. Hear his tips and advice for those who are thinking about doing FBA and tips for those that have been doing it a few years. He now is spending his time in Chiang Mai, Thailand enjoying the culture and food. We sat down with Robert to talk about his story of family, freedom, and fun with e-commerce. He shares some personal experiences we all can relate to. He went to college, worked for the family Italian sausage business, everything he was supposed to do, born to do. He always had a desire though, to create his own business. We sat down with the creator of ShopZen.io, Rayhan Vevaina, to talk about his company that helps Shopify store owners grow their stores. His mission is to take the technical website support off busy entrepreneurs hands. This frees up business owners to focus on what really matters, growing their business. He has big plans for this one of a kind business. He is creating an application for ShopZen.io on Shopify. This will stream line the process for store owners. He is planning to launch the app in the new year. Be on the look for it in the Shopify app store when 2017 rolls around.  His story of entrepreneurship started back home in Canada. He was fed up with the 9-5 endless rat race. He began learning how to code in his spare time. This led to him helping store owners with website technical problems. During this time he saved up enough money to be able to quit his job and move to Mexico. Here he met other digital nomads. They inspired him to start his own business. Chiang Mai has a big community of vegan entrepreneurs. There is a wide spectrum of vegans from raw vegans, fruitarians and vegans that eat raw and cooked foods. I find that vegans are very open minded and getting into discussions leads to fascinating talk about big government and food. We have been vegan for over 4 years now and it has done wonders for our health. We hardly if ever get sick. If we do get something it's usually a 24 hour bug and goes away quickly. Eating healthy strengthens your immune system. During our travel times eating healthy really comes to our aid. Where most people would get sick from non stop traveling we can withstand it because we eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Since arriving to Thailand 2 months ago we were itching to see the beaches that we had dreamed about. As part of the 6 month Thai tourist visa we have to leave the country every 60 days. So much obliged we decided to book our flights to Bali, Indonesia. We live in Chiang Mai and while it is extremely beautiful it doesn't have a beach nearby. Our life has changed so much in the last couple of months. Thanks to a couple of mentors, we were able to start a business last summer that has given us the ability to travel while we work and experience the world in a way we would have never had the ability to by working a 9-5 job.  Traveling isn't easy, it takes a lot of research and patience. Being a social entrepreneur means you're taking on a mission that has more to do with making a positive difference in the world than making a profit. After I created my first online business, I discovered that pivoting into having a social cause would help me build my business. I put a ton of work into promoting healthy living and green energy through content and social media sharing. This type of content is shareable, can start conversations, and is perfect for getting people behind you.  The result of all this work was us going vegan to support animal rights, our health, and the ecosystems of the earth, and it resulted in a huge increase in sales on our website.  I recently made the decision to get back into social entrepreneurship after a few months of great sales with our main e-commerce site. We now support two non-profits with donations and content. Bo and her sister created an online business selling boat tours in Portugal called Seabookings.com. They started the business while in college taking part in a contest to come up with business ideas. It was slow and organic growth from the beginning and today their business is growing. They are hiring new help and expanding beyond Portugal and beyond boat tours.  Bo decided to start working remotely when she realized it was possible and that she needed some new experiences in her life. Some friends recommended Chiang Mai, so she gave it a shot. In Thailand, she has the best of both worlds. Alejandro is an entrepreneur from Peru. He is a Drop Ship Lifestyle coach who helps students who live outside of the USA to start a drop ship online store based in the USA. His story is full of ups and downs. He quit his corporate job to pursue being an entrepreneur by importing and exporting Garmin GPS devices. He wound up in over $10,000 in debt because of some mistakes in that business that left him bankrupt and doubting his choices.   He moved to a different city, Cusco, where Machu Picchu is located, and began working with a partner in the tourism industry. He was organizing pub crawls and made some money showing tourists a good time. Then, out of nowhere, a contact he made through some contracting work led to an interview with a corporation based in Iowa. He was hired as the director of international business development. The company flew him to places like Dubai and Abu Dhabi putting him up at the most expensive hotels, all expenses paid. In Alejandro’s words “life changes fast.” His advice, just go with it and be ready.   Drop Ship Lifestyle came into his life after a health problem led him to pursue more rewarding paths in life. He launched his drop shipping store in January 2015 and he got his first sale a couple months later. Through his experience with the trial and error of setting up a business in the USA even if you’re not a citizen of the country yet. Here are his tips for setting up a remote business yourself:   Get a social security number or tax payer ID number (ITIN) Set up a remote LLC with WyomingAgents.com (Wyoming is the lowest cost to set up LLC and requires the least amount of taxes to be paid) (~$200) Get an EIN (employer ID number) *must be set up by phone or fax. In this episode, we tell the stories of best-selling products we've sold online over time. The key to drop shipping profitably is finding best selling products, promoting the heck out of them, and raking in the dough when you get the top spot on Google. We also talk about why we think you should niche down to only best sellers. First off, you'll save on your ad spend, you'll create more demand for your store, and you'll make it easier for your customers to decide because they have less decision making to do. This strategy of removing items that don't sell well allows you to focus on a smaller selection of products for content marketing like blog posts, youtube videos, and social media promotions. How to find best selling products? The first place to start is to research competitors websites. Search by best sellers. If they have a Shopify website, go to www.theirdomain.com/collections/all and organize by best sellers. Best sellers tend to be products that cost less than comparable products and offer more value in terms of features & benefits. How to promote best sellers: Getting an account with the supplier and listing the product on your site Making it the main feature of your site Creating a special promotion just for that product Writing unique sales copy features/benefits and lots of it Writing a review article for your blog Creating a sales presentation video (Fiverr) Buying the product, using it, and filming an in-depth review Raise the bid on AdWords product listing ads for that particular product. Again, we want to stress why you should get rid of products that don't sell: Costs money for ad spend Wasted money on content marketing Takes up precious space on your website Confuses customers When do you get rid of products that don't sell? When I first started on woo commerce, I chose a themeforest.net theme that was very complicated and slow, which resulted in a low conversion rate. I switched to a basic woo commerce theme and the conversion rate went way up.
