MIKE's NOTES:  E3 2018 Games Shown/ Announced: EA: Battlefield V Bioware's Anthem - Looks Great! Lot's of Sports games as usual... Command & Conquer Rivals. It's a free-to-play mobile game - a bad idea for a great rts series going to mobile TEASED: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is being developed by Titanfall studio Respawn and it's coming Christmas 2019. Stuff didn't see: No New Plants vs. Zombies, No New Burnout... ----------------------------------------------- Xbox: TEASED: Halo Infinite and a glimpse of Master Chief  Gears 5. You get to play at Kate this time, not JD or Marcus Fenix. There are a couple of other Gears games coming too,  Gears Pop, in partnership with toy company Funko, and Gears Tactics - XCOM in the Gears universe essentially. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - new IP with Activision - form of Dark Souls' developer, FromSoftware As expected from the studio, there are lots of boss battles and fast-paced combat. Forza Horizon 4 looks utterly stunning, with different seasons affecting the play and the racing action being set, this time, in Great Britain Capcom's Devil May Cry 5 Dying Light 2 Crackdown 3 - Still Not really shown Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt Red promises to do for sci-fi what The Witcher 3 did for fantasy. Huzzah! Oh And Lot's of New 1st party studios aquired!! Stuff Didn't see: No New XboxLive Gold/Game Pass Combination, No Fable, No Forza Horizon Japan, No Crackdown Footage! ------------------------------------------------------- Bethesda: Rage 2 Doom Eternal Wolfenstein game, Youngblood Fallout Shelter Now on PS4 & Switch  The Elder Scrolls: Blades, a free-to-play mobile game coming this fall for iOS and Android. Fallout 76 yo! TEASED: Starfield - a space-faring RPG  and The Elder Scrolls IV.  Stuff didn't see: Nothing! I got what I wanted LoL ------------------------------------------------------- Square Enix: Shadow of the Tomb Raider - looked amazing as always news on Final Fantasy XIV Online, including an amazing hook up with Monster Hunter for Final Fantasy XIV X Monster Hunter World, which is coming "summer 2018" so is imminent. The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, a game set in the same game world as Life is Strange. We were also told that some of the characters in this free to play chapter - available 26 June - will be in Life is Strange 2, so you have to "explore everywhere" Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age Octopath Traveler for Nintendo Switch was finally confirmed Just Cause 4, including an explanation on enemy AI. Avalanche promises that Rico's foes will be much more intelligent in battles this time around. TEASED:  new IP Babylon's Fall new IP was next up, The Quiet Man stuff didn't see: nothing! -------------------------------------------------------- Ubisoft: Just Dance 2019 Beyond Good and Evil 2 Trials Rising The Division 2 Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle chapter is coming in the form of Donkey Kong Adventure. It'll be available from 26 June. Skull & Bones  Transference for VR and traditional platforms. It's essentially a horror escape game set in a "corrupted mind" and will be available this fall. Ubisoft's first toys to life game, Starlink: Battle for Atlas, is close to release - coming this October - has Fox in the game For Honor is getting new DLC The Crew 2 is even closer to release, and you can jump into a free open beta from 21 June. Assassin's Creed Odyssey looks frickin' amazing. Origins was a huge leap forward for the series, but Odyssey takes things so much further. Greek mythology has always been of particular interest so this could be something great. It's more an RPG, with two different characters to choose from the start - male or female for the first time.  Stuff didn't see: Ummmmm... No New M+R Battle Kingdom 2??, No New Splinter Cell Game -------------------------------------------------------- Nintendo: Daemon X Machina, is actually scheduled for 2019. - Looks like a decent cell shaded mech game. Pokemon: Let's Go! Pikachu and Eevee editions, even though we saw them announced a month ago. The best news though is that the Poke Ball+ accessory will come with an exclusive Mew for the games. Super Mario Party, to be released on 5 October Fire Emblem Three Houses Fortnite on Nintendo Switch - Out Now FREE Overcooked 2 Wolfenstein II and Monster Hunter Generations Megaman 11 Super Smash Bros Ultimate - many character reveals, including Metroid's Ridley. There was also news that the Nintendo GameCube controllers will work with the Switch version. The game is coming out on 7 December. Stuff didn't see:  No Mario Maker? WTF!!, No Mario Galaxy 1&2 Remasters for Switch, No New 2d/3d sidescrolling Mario Game :(, No mention or talk of Nintendo's Online service. ------------------------------------------------------------------ PlayStation: The Last of Us II Ghost of Tsushima Control - looks very similar to Quantum Break in many aspects Resident Evil 2 might be a remake of the original but looks to be an almost all-new game.  Kingdom Hearts 3 - now know that Pirates of the Caribbean is part of the new game.
