Should we care about our social skills? As Christians, it can be easy to allow ourselves to become myopic in our view of what it means to be a Christian. Sometimes little things like how we interact with others, how we come across can have a big impact on our ability to represent Christ well. Jerell shares with us some insights into this important issue. 

Why do the New Testament authors talk about the Old Testament so much? Everybody who has read the New Testament has probably also read the Old Testament by way of reference, allusion, analogy, etc. However, how many of you have stopped to wonder why the OT is discusses so prevalently? Matt shares not only why we should care about understanding our Old Testament, but also how without it we can't fully understand the New Testament. 

What is youth ministry? Some of us grew up in youth ministry and chances are we've all had a different experience. Nevertheless, we believe it to be an integral part of a young person's faith. Matt Gley shares with us the priorities and philosophies that form UFC's investment into our young people. 

What are we supposed to do with Revelation? The book of Revelation is one of great debate, obsession, or avoidance depending on your preference. But, it is nonetheless an essential part of Scripture that God has provided us for our good. Jamie shares some of how she thinks through and processes the contents of Revelation. 

Who gets to call the shots in the church? Everyone has an opinion or idea on the church. It could be the music, discipleship program, or color of the interior paint. But, who gets to make that decision and what authority does each person have. Sean shares different church models 

Why did God save us? You might have found yourself wondering just what is motivation God's redemption through history. It's a good question, and one could argue an essential question for the Christian. Sean brings Scripture to bear on on this issue.

What does it mean to be finite? It is in our nature to be limited, but we also buck against it. How do we wrestle with that it means to be human? Lew shares insights into God's design for the finiteness of humanity and how we can be faithful when we are. 

What is the culture you live in? We live in Eugene, which means that we are influenced by a variety of cultural characteristics. Even more, the people we live around and work with are further formed by what it means to live here. Jerell offers us some useful things to do to become more informed by what it means to live in Eugene and engage meaningfully with other Eugenians. 

How do you engage with your neighborhood? God has put each of us in a place and time with people around us. This mundane fact can sometimes go underappreciated. To help with that, Jerell offers us some activities that can help us connect with those who live closest to us.

How can we strive with, rather than against, what God is doing in our lives? It can be easy to reduce our spirituality to a Sunday gathering and maybe cracking open the Bible once a week. But, is this what God has in mind for our flourishing? Jerell shares some disciplines we can incorporate into our lives that can partner with the work of the Spirit. 

How can we more show up with more intentionality on with our church? Sunday can be a mad dash, sometimes even getting to church feels like an overwhelming challenge. Jerell shares some intentional choices we can make to shift our perspective and be more engaged with our family in Christ. 

What disciplines can you have in your personal life? One of the great challenges in life is to become inoculated to the current we are in. Life is busy, stressful, hard. We entertain ourselves, try to survive, or work long hours. However, Jerell brings several disciplines that can help us create margin for what God is doing in our lives. 

What do love and drawing lines have in common? If your answer was 2 John, then you'd be correct! John wrote a small letter with two urgent messages: love others and separate yourself from wolves. Jamie shares how we can integrate both of these important principles into our lives. 

How ought a Christian live? For anyone in Christ, we should be deeply interested in this question. Thankfully, we have a Bible that gives us all we need for godly living. Jamie shares from 1 John how the love of God forms our life with others. 

Does your work matter? It can often be tempting to view the mundane parts of our life as unsanctified work. We do it because we have to eat. However, Jerell shares how Christ's redemption also redeems the work we do now. 

Should we be worried about false teachers? Yes and no. Jamie shares how we can see the Truth in who God is and find comfort there, while also maintaining a sense of vigilance. 

What is your calling? The ideas of vocation and calling are ambiguous at best sometimes. It also doesn't help that our culture has it's opinion about the pursuit of careers and what success look like. Lew discusses how we can think through these topics in a biblical manner. 

Do I really have to listen to them? There's something inside us that hates to obey others. We don't want to submit. We want to be our own masters. However, in Christ, we are no slaves to God. Likewise, we are to submit ourselves to others, even sometimes when we don't like it. Jamie shares how 1 Peter gives us a framework for submission. 

What are you doing this summer? Typically, the summertime is a busy one (which season isn't?). But, is it busy with the right things? Jerell  shares a summer initiative that will be launching this summer for the men of UFC.  Don't miss out!
