We’re back at the Toronto FRINGE Festival, with three interviews for shows you don’t want to miss! We sit down with Peter Cavell and Megan Phillips creators of the show People Suck, produced by Victoria Laberge. This unique musical, feels as though it was written just for me, because you know, people suck, sometimes. We also spoke to the creators behind Caws and Effect, a pun filled, live animated show using a beautiful and fun form of physical storytelling. Last but not least, we welcome back Alastair Knowles from James & Jamesy, and chat about the duo that know has three shows touring across Canada. From the 2015 Edition of Montreal Sketchfest – Women in Comedy Montreal in collaboration with No More Radio, presented a panel discussion on Women in Comedy featuring: Moderator: Sarah Deshaies co-hosts the weekly theatre and culture show Upstage on CKUT. She is also a producer at CJAD 800AM in Montreal. Chantale Renée is a French improv veteran, voice-over artist, comedy producer, writer, and snail enthusiast. She continues to be a creative force in Toronto where she performs with new sketch duo Ding Dong. Dawn Ford has been a professional actor in film and television and plays as well as voices several cartoons for the last 25 years. She is an alumni of the Montreal Improv Conservatory and 6 months ago began her adventure into standup comedy. Dave Sawyer is a member of the Boston troupe Sawyer & Hurley and is Associate Producer of the Boston Women in Comedy Festival. Kristen Bartlett is a writer/performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York. Kristen’s show The Dead Dads Club recently finished its run, and she also writes for sketch teams Bridge & Tunnel and UCB Maude night’s Goodbye Handsome. She’s a contributor to Funny or Die, Someecards, and Splitsider. Sasha Manoli is a comedy producer based in Montreal, recently spear-heading The Brunch Club—an initiative that brings out-of-town comics to Montreal stages. She has worked for Just for Laughs and is currently the Content Manager at the Phi Centre. The panel was produced by Katie Leggit, Erin Hall and Lar Vi.

He is the author of “Guy Davenport: Postmodern and After“. His work focuses on modernism and postmodernism, including Ezra Pound, Milton, Brecht, and contemporary Canadian poetry. He lectures regularly on Joyce’s “Ulysses”, and on Tom Stoppard’s work, which is convenient, as this edition of Sunday @ the Segal is all about Travesties, the latest production from the Segal Centre.
