There was Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam, The Madrid PreParty ES, the London Eurovision Party and Manc - Hagen in Manchester just to mention a few. The voices of Radio International have been at those parties and interviewed many of the artist and you can hear those interviews on the show in the run up to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Not long to go now       Revealing the International Jury Results for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 - Semi Final 2 and the Grand Final: After the National Final Season it is a tradition that the Team of Radio International, selected fans of the Eurovision Song Contest and Experts are voting for the songs that are competing at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 per Semi Final 1, Semi Final 2 and the Grand Final Songs. This week Radio International will be broadcasting the result of that voting on the show this week revealing how the Jury voted. Radio International's JP met and interviewed the singer at Eurovision in Concert 2025 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.   JJ (Austria 2025) at the London Eurovision Party 2025   Meet the Eurostars 2025 - Interview with JJ (Austria 2025):  JJ alias Johannes Pietsch represents Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel in Semi Final 2 Song Number 6 with the song "Wasted Love". Radio International's Salman met the young and very talented singer at the London Eurovision Party 2025 and conducted an interview you can hear on the show this week. Austria is one of the strong favourites to win the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.      Erika Vikman (Finland 2025) at Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam   Meet the Eurostars 2025 - Interview with Erika Vikman (Finland 2025):  The Winner of the National Final 2025 in Finland called UMK (Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu) is Erika Vikman who will represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel with the song sang partly in German called "Ich komme" and will be in Semi Final 2 Song Number 16 closing out the Semi Final 2. Radio International's JP, Marc and Alexander had the pleasure to meet and interview Erika at the Turquoise Carpet of the Madrid PreParty 2025 Erika has previously taken part in UMK with the song "Cicciolina" coming second in UMK 2020.     Louane (France 2025) at Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam Meet the Eurostars 2025 - Interview with Louane (France 2025):  Following Slimane's amazing result in 2024 at the Eurovision Song Contest, in 2025 it will be Louane representing France in Basel with the song "Maman". France is part of the Big Five countries contributing the biggest amount of money to the Eurovision Song Contest Louane does not need to go through the Semi Finals. Emmy, although being Norwegian, will be representing Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Semi Final 2 Song Number 3. Katarsis (Lithuania 2025) at the Madrid PreParty 2025 Meet the Eurostars 2025 - Interview with Katarsis (Lithuania 2025):  Neighbouring to Latvia is Lithuania and Katarsis are four young musicians winning the Lithuanian National Final and representing their country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Semi Final 2 Song Number 8 entitled "Tavo Akys". Radio International met the young musicians at the recent edition of the Madrid PreParty 2025 to get to know Katarsis.       Songwriters Julien Salvia and Ludovic-Alexandre Vidal (Luxembourg 2025) with JP at Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam   Meet the Eurostars 2025 - Interview with Songwriters Julien Salvia and Ludovic-Alexandre Vidal (Luxembourg 2025):  Luxembourg's second entry after returning for a long absence to the Eurovision Song Contest is performed by Laura Thorn in Semi Final 2 Song Number 13. The song is called "La poupée monte le son" written by two songwriters from France, Julien Salvia and Ludovic-Alexandre Vidal. Radio International already broadcast the interview with Laura previosuly, however, did not yet broadcast the interview with the creators of Luxembourg's entry 2025. Enjoy the interview and find out more about the creation of "La poupée monte le son".       Nina Žižić (Montenegro 2025) with Salman   Meet the Eurostars 2025 - Interview with Nina Žižić (Montenegro 2025):  Already in 2013 Nina Žižić represented Montenegro at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö as part of Who See performing the song "Igranka" being ahead of their time. Sadly the song only ended up at Number 12 in the first Semi Final . This time Nina is back after coming second in the Montenegri National Final 2024 as the winner declined to represent Montenegro at Eurovision 2025. Nina's entry is called "Dobrodošli" and will be in Semi Final 2 Song Number 2. The trio is called Remember Monday and they will be representing the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in the Grand Final directly qualified as being part of the Big 5 countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom). The song in the running is called "What the hell just happened" and Radio International's JP had the big pleasure to meet the singers at Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam earlier on in April 2025. The genius behind that was Gabry Ponte who this year will be representing San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with the song "Tutta l'Italy" in Semi Final 1 Song Number 11. It is actually the theme tune of Italy's prestiges San Remo Song Festival 2025. Salman met the singer at the London Eurovision Party whereas JP met the musician at Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam. Klemen hosted Slovenia's EMA previously but this year he took part in it as a singer and won the Slovenian National Final with the song "How much time do we have left" a song wirtten based on a true life story. JP, Marc and Alexander met Klemen at the Madrid PreParty 2025 at the Turquoise Carpet for a chat Radio International shares on the show this week.     KAJ (Sweden 2025) at Madrid PreParty 2025 Meet the Eurostars 2025 - Interview with KAJ (Sweden 2025): The betting odds are saying that Sweden will be winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with KAJ and their Sauna song 'Bara Bada Bastu" which will compete in Semi Final 1 Song Number 6. KAJ are Kevin, Axel and Jakob from the Swedish part of Finland and won Melodifestivalen 2025 in Sweden by a mile, in fact, the highest number of votes every received in the history of Melodifestivalen. The very sympathetic trio chatted with Salman at the London Eurovision Party but also with JP, Marc and Alexander at the Madrid PreParty 2025. There was Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam, The Madrid PreParty ES, the London Eurovision Party and Manc - Hagen in Manchester just to mention a few. The voices of Radio International have been at those parties and interviewed many of the artist and you can hear those interviews on the show in the run up to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.       Go-Jo (Australia 2025) with JP at the MadridPreParty 2025 Interview with Go-Jo (Australia 2025):  JP, Marc and Alexander also met and interviewed Australia's tenth Eurovision entrant Go-Jo alias Marty Zambotto at the Madrid PreParty 2025. He was nominated by Austrian Broadcaster ORF and as present is one of the favouirtes to win the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Klemen (Slovenia 2025) at Madrid PreParty 2025       Interview with Klemen (Slovenia 2025):  The Winner of the Slovenian National Final EMA 2025 is Klemen who is a Show Host, Comedian and Singer in Slovenia. He previoulsy hosted EMA and this year took part as a contestant winning EMA and with that represents Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Semi Final 1 Song Number 3 with the song "How much time do we have left" he wrote based on a true story. Already in 1995 she represented Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest  with the song "Sama" coming 18th. Colin was a very familiar voice on the Eurovision Song Contest from 1977 - 2002 as being the Jury Spokesperson for the United Kingdom Jury. Further, Colin was also a radio presenter and newsreader on BBC Radio 2 and later on BBC Three Counties until 2016. He hosted various radio shows which very often also included songs from the Eurovision Song Contest. A very pleasant voice has been silenced. BBC Three Countries Radio rebroadcast Colin's last show which you will be able to listen to again - click here.  Rest in Peace Colin Berry (29 Jan 1946 - 16 Apr 2025).   Colin Berry and David Mann As a tribute to Colin Berry, Radio International will rebroadcast an interview with Colin Berry which was done by Radio International's David Mann in 2016 as part of Eurovision You Decide 2016 (The UK's National Final of the United Kingdome to the Eurovision Song Contest.   Tribute to Clodagh Rodgers (United Kingdom 1971):  The Eurovision Community lost another of its members - Clodagh Rodgers who represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 1971 which was won by Monaco's Severine with "Un banc, un arbre, une rue". The United Kingdom came fourth in that contest with the song "Jack in the Box". Clodagh passed away on 18 Apr 2025 at the age of 78.  On the show this week, Radio International will broadcast a tribute to the singer and look back over her life and career. Rest in Peace Clodagh Rogers (05 Mar 1947 - 18 Apr 2025). The Eurovision Spotlight - The Eurovision 2025 Land in Regions:  All countries have now selected their entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 and with this marking the end of the National Final Season 2025 and the start of the Pre-Party Season where the artists promote their entries to the fans at e.g. Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam, Madrid Pre-Party, London's Preview Event, MancHagen, The Nordic Eurovision PreParty and Eurovision Party SKG in Greece. 36 countries are taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 which will be taking place on 13 and 15 May 2024 for the two Semi Finals and the Grand Final on 17 May 2025. While the majority of its participants have been from the Norwegian side of Sápmi, Sámi from the Swedish, Finnish, and Russian sides have been increasingly participating in recent years too. Before the concert there was a Media Event where national and internationrepresentatives of the media could meet the artists and conduct short interviews. Both members of the group wrote two competing songs for other Maltese artists that took part at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025. JP caught up with the Busker just after the Semi Final in front of the stage. Enjoy this interview on the show this week.       Sami Grand Prix 2025: The Sámi Grand Prix is a Sámi yoik and song competition organized annually by the Sámi Music Festival organization featuring participants from all corners of the Sami Land. While the majority of its participants have been from the Norwegian side of Sápmi, Sámi from the Swedish, Finnish, and Russian sides have been increasingly participating in recent years too. Each participant submits an original piece to be performed live in an auditorium in Kautokeino during the Sámi Easter Festival. Originally broadcast on the radio in a limited area, they have started to be shown on TV and livestreamed as well and can be watched from anywhere in the world. Listeners and viewers can cast their vote for their favorites in two categories. A combined televoting and jury result is calculated for each participant. The televotes and the jury votes each currently count for 50% of the participant's scores. The participants who receive the most votes in the song category and in the yoik category are declared the winners of these respective categories. ADONXS (Czechia 2025) MEET THE EUROSTARS 2025 - Interview with ADONXS (Czechia 2025):  Malta held their national selection process in the first week of Feb 2025 with two Semi Finals and a Grand Final selecting Miriana Conte to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with the controversial song "Kant". At the first Semi Final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025, ADONXS performed the entry "Kiss Kiss Goodbye" as Interval Act. ADONXS will represent Czechia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Semi Final 2 in the Second Half. The Radio International Interview Team took the chance to conduct an interview with the singer that originally is Slovak. Hear that in-depth interview on the show this week.     Melodifestivalen 2025 - The Grand Final:  "Sverige, vi har ett resultat"  On Saturday, 08 Mar 2025 the Grnd Final of  Melodifestivalen 2025 took place in the Strawberry Arena in Solna near Stockholm. At the end of the voting sequence Finnish trio KAJ were announced to be the winner of Melodifestivalen 2025 with the song "Bara Bada Bastu" and with this Sweden's representatives to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Winner of Melodifvestialen 2025 and Sweden's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 KAJ    Melodifestivalen is the biggest National Final selection process in the world of the Eurovision Song Contest. It is the 65th edition and is produced by Swedish broadcaster SVT. 30 entries out of 2794 submitted songs made it to the shows. The 30 entries will take part in the competition across five heats. Each heat consists of six songs, with the top two songs directly qualifying for the final. Unlike in the previous edition, only the third-placing song will proceed to a final qualification round at the end of the fifth heat, which will now feature five songs instead of ten. Two songs in the final qualification will then progress to the final, which will comprise of 12 songs. The winner of the final will be determined by the usual 50/50 combination of votes from the public and an international jury.
