Liz King - Event Planner Entertainment Podcast

Liz is an event planning superhero by day, and closeted tech geek and introvert by night. Distraught by the thought of everyday civilians being conquered by spreadsheets, she resolved to re-channel her organizational and tech savvy superpowers and launched Liz King Events (http://lizkingevents.com/) while still running events full time for Columbia University. Liz voraciously shared content on event best practices via social media and quickly became a thought leader/influencer amongst her peers. Her hopes of being an incognito event superhero went down the drain as her cover was blown once she started making cameos on lits like 'Successful Meetings list of 25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry" for two years in a row and 'Connect Magazine's list of 40 Under 40 Up-and-Coming Event Planners in 2011". Liz now comfortably wears her cape and employs her superpowers to helps entrepreneurs/brands like Claudia Chan and Ramit Sethi plan smart, tech-savvy events to better engage their attendees. Outside of client events, Liz uses her prowess to educate and challenge her industry peers on how to better integrate technology into live events to create a more winsome audience experience, through auxiliary outlets techsytalk.com and PlannerTech [Founder]. When not saving gotham from the event planning woes, Liz can be found unwinding by learning how to code, brushing up on her Korean, or indulging in Korean cuisine ... all in civilian geek attire, of course.   Adam Wilber of http://www.AdamWilber.com is an award winning magician who has been seen performing for celebrities on good morning America, CBS, the discovery channel and many more.   On the podcast Adam brings together event planning experts to share how they produce incredible events for their clients and you can too. Susie Mordoh - Event Planner Entertainment Interview

My name is Susie Mordoh and I believe in the power of collective good so much so that I named my company, Greater Than We. My approach to breaking things down into simple and easy nuggets (of love) has helped many clients over the years reduce their sense of overwhelm. The foundation of Greater Than We began as a company focused on event planning and fundraising [and still runs LOTS of beautiful, successful, down right super fun events each year…GO TEAM!] My philosophy has always been centered on the notion that when we raise each other up amazing things happen.  Through speaking engagements, running workshops and mentoring, I help women reduce their overwhelm to achieve a better work-life balance. There is nothing better than watching the spark in their eye as they begin to shift their mindset…PURE MAGIC! I BELIEVE everyone can have that spark in their eye [and I want to help make that happen] In an industry that can have a language all its own, it is and my ability to understand them and translate the ideas and visions into reality that sets me apart from the others: I BELIEVE that our purpose is to become the best versions of ourselves [because it is then that we do our best for others] I BELIEVE we can change our world when we change our mindset [thoughts have power and each thought is seed to what we manifest] I BELIEVE we are the artists of our lives [so that means you should LOVE your canvas] I BELIEVE when we co-create and collaborate our results become exponentially better [the work becomes creatively & inspirationally super charged] I BELIEVE it’s important to raise each other up [we simply all have a need to be witnessed and supported] I BELIEVE the universe has our back [and it wants us all to succeed] Inspiration comes in many forms. Believe it or not,  one of my favorite quotes was read in a college bar (scribbled on a bathroom stall) and it still guides me today. That quote not only helped me through an Architecture and Economics degree, It helps me whenever I need focus. It reads ‘success doesn’t come from doing extraordinary things, it comes from doing ordinary things extraordinarily well’. Whether we work together on work-life balance or a specific event, I am fully committed to help you achieve what you want most! Let’s connect and see if it’s a good fit.  Please schedule a complimentary call or contact us.   Adam Wilber of http://www.AdamWilber.com is an award winning magician who has been seen performing for celebrities on good morning America, CBS, the discovery channel and many more.   On the podcast Adam brings together event planning experts to share how they produce incredible events for their clients and you can too. Leah Weinberg- Event Planner Entertainment Podcast

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to run my own business and be my own boss. Every time I was leaving one law job for another, I would always brainstorm new business ideas and event planning was one I always kept coming back to (thank goodness I didn’t decide to go to pastry school!). When I planned my own wedding in 2012, that pretty much sealed the deal and I knew that event planning and wedding planning was THE job for me. So I did what any good lawyer would do and took a course in wedding and event planning. About a year after my wedding, and after an almost decade-long career as a commercial real estate attorney, I decided to make it official and combine my love of spreadsheets and my desperate need for a creative outlet into a new career as an event planner. The result is Color Pop Events – a New York City-based full-service event planning company specializing in vibrant, charming, and bold events for a wide variety of clients. My goal is to help craft a concept for your event and then bring that vision to life, first, by pairing you with top-notch vendors whose style and professionalism will be a perfect complement, and then by executing that concept with a focus not only on the big picture but on each and every intricate detail as well. I believe every aspect of the event should have a purpose. If logistics is your only concern, I am also available for month-of and day-of coordination services. At the end of the day, I love to make people happy. So whether you’re engaged and looking to have the wedding of your dreams, or a new fashion designer nervous about pulling everything together for your first runway show, or a restaurateur looking to celebrate the grand opening of your newest venture, I’m your (colorful) girl!        Now that you know a little bit about me, find out what services Color Pop Events offers.    Adam Wilber of http://www.AdamWilber.com is an award winning magician who has been seen performing for celebrities on good morning America, CBS, the discovery channel and many more.   On the podcast Adam brings together event planning experts to share how they produce incredible events for their clients and you can too. Karen Brown- Event Planner Entertainment Interview

I’m Karen Brown, a Southern girl turned New Yorker who loves dreaming up the details to create a good party. (Doesn’t everyone love a good party?) Tell me your vision, and I’ll make it a reality. I will take care of even the tiniest elements, so you can enjoy your event as much as your guests. Whether I’m planning a once-in-a-lifetime wedding, a birthday bash or a corporate holiday soiree, I feel honored to craft a gathering that is as unique as the people it’s for. My passion for creating a memorable event makes me jump out of bed every morning! Blessed with a creative spirit and having a degree and professional experience in interior design, I have an eye for style and a thoughtful awareness for the finishing touches. I have years of professional experience in collaborating directly with diverse clients and vendors to achieve great results. Business-savvy while possessing good social graces, I am adept at negotiating contracts for the best price and can keep an event on track and on budget like nobody’s business. I am the calm in the eye of a storm, and I maintain a positive attitude throughout the entire process. I will always have your best interests at heart. Helping to improve the quality of life for people everywhere is one of the many things that gets me going. When you hire Karen Brown New York, you will be participating in “An Event that Gives Back”: 5 percent of the planning fee for your event will go to a charity of your choice. Karen Brown New York is also dedicated to providing planning services to a maximum of one non-profit organization per year at no cost. When I’m not planning an event, you can find me biking around NYC, taking a yoga class with a girlfriend, organizing a dinner party with friends or spending countless hours “pinning” wedding and event inspiration ideas on Pinterest! I believe there is no better way to spend my life than to help others create celebrations that are memorable, personalized and extraordinary. Thank you for taking time to learn a little more about me, and now I’m looking forward to getting to know you – and how I can help you plan your wedding day or next big event.     Adam Wilber of http://www.AdamWilber.com is an award winning magician who has been seen performing for celebrities on good morning America, CBS, the discovery channel and many more.   On the podcast Adam brings together event planning experts to share how they produce incredible events for their clients and you can too.
